Maria-Minamino:
I hear my name mentioned :ninja:
Right, these boots, you're right that they're not up to Wishie's/releasable standard. They're a nice style though! I'm not sure what pointers I can give you with regard to making them better because I don't have the skills myself, but I'll try my best. Here goes!
The shading is very "off", it doesn't blend smoothly, the highlight is really in your face because of that. Let me take a look at them in Photoshop...
Hmm, now this might be because you used Tre's palettes, which have always been very heavily saturated, particularly for the highlight, though the pirate ones need help too and that palette is far more muted. So I'd say you just need to practice shading and getting things looking right. All I can suggest there is study items Wish has pixelled and see what you can learn from how she shades.
The heel is too straight/too far back, heels don't sit level with the back of a shoe, and too long a straight line looks wrong with pixels and usually means the person who created the item lacks the skill to give an item the movement it needs (this refers more to fabric than anything else, really), let me show you an example of what I mean.
The split in this dress:

No real dress's split would be straight up and down like that, it looks unnatural, and just plain bad if I'm honest :ninja:
Ok, you're using way too much highlight, particularly in places where it shouldn't be. Mene's light source comes from the avatar's righthand side, so there wouldn't be any bright highlight on the front of a boot's platform, for example, or on the lefthand side of anything, unless there's a fold there.
You're being a bit too busy with the shading, and the foot of the boot needs to be longer than the avatar's foot. Fitting very closely to the feet only looks right with small footwear.
The fold over at the top of the avie's left boot is uneven, it's much deeper on one side than the other
Several hours later...
I fiddled with them myself. Tones down that horrible highlight shade, messed with the shading, and the shape of the feet. Obviously I don't really know what I'm doing either, I just alter stuff til it looks better to me
If I place them side by side here you can see the differences. Layer them over each other to see where I altered the actual shape.

The right foot still isn't the right shape, but I dunno how to take it any further without messing it up completely -.-
