Well, since Halloween is over and theres probably big piles of Halloween Candy in your Kitchen I just wanted to ask a question.

When I get home from getting some candy, I don't eat it I trade it for whatever Candy my family bought, although only Candy which is the same as theirs. Strange but I just don't seem to like eating Candy from strangers.

Does anyone else do this? Or is it just me. Hehe, I thought you were always taught not to accept Candy from strangers. .-., for some reason I don't trust any Candy from strangers.

Candy from strangers are absolutely okay for me. ONLY on Halloween, and they MUST be wrapped, and not opened yet. ^^

You're probably just over protecting yourself, lots of people don't eat candy from strangers too.

But I like them, 'specially Skittles when my family didnt buy them yet. >:3

lol My mother would always go through every piece of candy before I was allowed to get a hold of it. She wanted to make sure nothing was opened, had needle holes in it, or was toxic. Since my mom had touched the candy last I wasn't afraid of eating it. : )

Awwwhhh, you have such a nice mom! ]:

My mom just holds the filled bags for me when I go, and when we come back, she just leaves me alone.. ]: But she probably knew I knew which candy was opened.. and what not.

I was always taught never to take food or anything in general from strangers and being aussie we don't generally celebrate Halloween like Americans do, some may do trying to get free candy but thats about it really I think.

I only was allowed to go to the houses of family and friends. so there was no problem with tainted goods. But I didn't get as much. Like half a shopping bag full. But I always doubled my load at school the next day. Bartering for candy was a yearly tradition at my elementary school :D

When I was younger (too old to trick or treat now) my brother and I always shared every thing. We'd dump it all together and pull out our favorites. And the stuff we didn't like my mom would give to the church for coffee hour table for the sundayshcool kids to have heh

My fieance and I had a ton of extra candy... we had no tick or treaters come by *cries* oh well... he ate most of it... *blinks as the candy disapears* heh still ahev some left, but just stuff he dosen't like.

I went trick-or-treating this year...and I'm 17 lol but I just pigged out on it, but that's because my mom didn't take me and my brother this year, my boyfriend did, and whenever my mom took us we'd always have to sit down and go through each peice individually, if I lived in a bigger town I'd probably understand that, but since my town is so small and pretty much everyone is realted (except me, cuz I moved here) I trust everyone, but we still knew better than eating the handfull of unprotected candy corn (even tho that's my fav ^_^;;) It was gone in two days btw...I have no self-control >.<;;

I didn't go trick-or-treating this year. :\ I haven't gone for something like five years now, and the last time I did go was just to chaperone (I think I spelled that correctly) my little sister around the neighborhood. xD Of course, normally I would never take candy from a stranger (it's too bizarre when random people offer you free stuff like that anyway).

I'm alright with getting stuff at Halloween or Christmas, though. I'm a wuss when it comes to turning down a chocolate bar. P:

If I get candy from strangers (on Halloween only), I always break them in half or check them over before I eat them. Since there was that incident in the nineties of people putting razors and such in candies.

My mom checked all my candies for me for a few years. After that, I checked it by myself. If there was something I wasn't sure of, I'd ask her to check it for me.

And I always had a system. You don't just start eating the candy. You either eat fruity candies, or chocolaty candies. Like, you have some Skittles, and then and a Starburst, and then Smarties. Or a Reese's, then a Milky Way. You can't have Skittles and then chocolate, because that's just gross. DX

I only eat 'candy from strangers' if it's on Halloween....and even then I check the wrapping to make sure that it's still sealed, and all that stuff...I mean come on, I think you will know if you have something like a razor blade injected into your candy....the only thing I don't like eating is things like Tootsie Rolls....Jolly Ranchers....etc...because those you can easily unwrap inject with POISON! o.0 and then wrap back up...but seriously, I've never gotten anything strange....except for MESSED UP candy...like stuff that shouldn't even be considered candy....

I hate it when people pass out chips! *mad at chips* but this year my sister went and she got a can of pepsi. :?

We in my family always keep the candy from holloween to eat, that is as long as it isn't opened aready. I do trade with my siblings though for favorite candies.
