I'm borrowing the laptop from my mom
but my emachine computer, was working fine a few days ago.
I turned it off and went to bed, before I turned it off, it was running at 100%.
I woke up and pressed the power button, got in the shower, and when I came back, the monitor was frozen on the emachine logo. I've tried restarting it, and the same thing happens.
I've unplugged all cords and plugged them back in.
I need some serious help!

That same thing happened to my computer!! It went on for months... One day it was working the same way it always did, and the next it starts freezing for no reason, turning itself off at inappropriate times and just refuse to go on, even when I restart ten times in a row... I never even overworked it!
I had to send it in, replace the motherboard, and it still takes forever to start up! It doesn't freeze anymore, but I was three months without it... (my dad tried everything before sending it in, sending it in took two weeks and only cost us the sending to...)
I hope the same thing doesn't happen to your computer, that would be a real shame...

Maybe if you go in to Safe Mode and do a system restore it would help...
If you get really desperate you can F-Disk it. I guess they don't really call it that anymore. Basically you can reinstall your OS.
I'd talk to whomever you borrowed it from first if you're going to do that.
Ok, what I was thinking of probably won't work for you.
It's more for lappys that won't start at all. Sry.
Otherwise, I'm not sure how to help. Power surges can screw things up sometimes, so you may need someone to look at it.

Well sorta.

You've booted it in safe mode?
Edit: What OS are you running? XP, Vista, Mac OSX, Something Else?

I have an emachine computer as well. I don't think it's anything emachine specific. It might be a virus on your computer.
Wait until tomorrow. Sometimes computers are hypochondriacs and there's really nothing wrong with them.
Also, if you know anything about the anatomy of a computer, I'd ask you to pop open the side panel to make sure everything's secured properly in their places.
If you don't really know what you're doing, though, then I highly recommend you take it to someplace like Best Buy. It's best not to mess around with your computer if you don't know what's going on. It could lead to some more serious problems.

I think your right Nath.
Maybe it's a virus.
I'll check with my mom and see if she has a virus deleter thingy.
Thanks all for the help :]
