If you'd stumbled upon the thread, you're either here to discuss a very awesome game, or you may be thinking 'What in the world is Psychonauts? Some kind of disease?'
No, it's not a disease. It's a video game made by Tim Schaffer.
The Plot: It centers around ten year old boy with psychic powers who snuck away from his home at the circus to go to a Government training facility in the form of a childrens summer camp. While at Camp, the Main character, Razputin (Raz), discovers a plot involving stealing kids brains and putting them in death tanks to take over the world.
The picture above is the kids and characters you'll meet at the camp, also known as 'Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp'.
This thread is pretty much to discuss this wonderful master piece, and to edumakate those of you who know nothing about it.
So...Feel free to discuss, I'm not going to stop you :3

Question: It's definitely some console game, right? Meaning it's for either one of the Playstations, Xbox, or Gamecube? o.o;
It sure as heck doesn't sound like a computer game; unless it was just one of those games you don't need internet connection for, and thus there's no real computer element to it, anyway.

The game was released for the PS2, Xbox and for the PC, and is available on Steam. It's a platform game, yes, however, the keyboard controls are excelent.

Tim Schaffer has a new game coming out, something about a rock band. o_o;
@Facade:
What do you mean, if you don't play a game online there is no computer element?
I much prefer a mouse over console controls, and I've played many amazing games, BY MYSELF, as in NOT ONLINE, on the computer. :?

Indeed. The day Lucas Arts let them go was the day they officially lost their minds.

Yeah, apparently, it's an action game where you go to some sort of paralel universe, and you and a bunch of metal heads start some sort of revolution, or something. Weird stuff.

I've given up on the pigments by now... I'm on the last level, so it's not like I have that much to learn.

Oh, the figments aren't there just to be there, Marques. They make your psi powers a lot stronger, your invisibility longer, your levitation ball gets a spike to it, etc. And there's also the secret ending. So yeah, I suggest you get figments.

It should have gave you an automatic save right before the dreaded 'Point of no return' so you can go back to that save and collect the figments, if you so desire. But meh, enough going on about figgy-piggy's.

I always overwrite my savegames. ;__; B'sides, I wouldn't be able to get the rest of the figments in Oleander's mind, if I forgot any inside. Hell, I wouldn't be able to get the rest of the figments in the asylum people's minds.

Why not? You can use the brain tumbler to go into their minds, you know.
