I'm really un-flextible. Like...I can't do the splits, or even touch my toes. ;-;

And for PE, to get an A, we have to. ;-; I better start stretching now. T-T

What about you guys?
How flexible are you?
Can you touch your toes?
What other amazing flexibility-related tricks can you do?

i wish i was flexible XD
i'm working on it though. i can do a few things that are flexible, but like you said i cant do splits and i cant quite touch my toes yet!

  • I can touch my toes. Just not with my legs straight out, sitting down.

    I can bend my thumb back into a 90° corner, but that has nothing to do with flexibility. I'm not very flexible at all, actually.

I can touch my toes sitting down too. If I'm standing up my stomach kind of gets in the way. And I dunno if its fexibility but i can touch my thumb to my wrist and not even be bothered by it. Other than that, I'm really just a clumsy short person who falls up the stairs, although thats nothing to do with felixibility. So I guess what I am saying is I'm not flexible.

I'm kinda flexible. I can't reach my toes but I can grab my wrists behind my back and bend my arm in some weird ways. And I can lick my elbow. But I can't reach my toes! Grr... :evil:
I can't do splits either.

I can touch my toes, but that’s about it. xD I’m not the smallest person in the world by any means and therefore not very flexible. I’m thinking about starting some basic yoga though, so maybe that will help me be a bit more lithe. xD

I don’t remember anything we had to do in PE to get an A. I remember having to do stuff on the parallel bars when I was in elementary school, and having to do certain moves and such, but that didn't necessarily get us a good grade. : ) It was fun to do though. ^^ lol

I used to be able to touch my toes but I have discovered, in recent years, that it has become more difficult for me.
Whenever I try, it hurts my legs terribly...You would think it would be my back screaming at me to stand upright but it is my legs...It is a weird phenomena.

You have to be able to do a split to pass PE? That seriously sucks. I don't think I'd ever be able to do one of those. O.O I can touch my toes though, or at least I could last time I tried.

Apparently, I'm fairly flexible, but I could never do the splits.

But touching my toes has always been a cinch.

And it seems odd that you have to do the splits just to pass.

I can touch my toes.
I could do back flips, now the only back flip I do is into a pool.
I could almost to the splits, but never managed it.

I used to be able to do the splits and all that, but once I started playing soccer, my leg muscles tightened up. No matter how much I stretch, if I flex my calf a certain way for over 20 seconds, it starts up a charlie horse. @[email protected]

It wasn't too bad in soccer, but it got worse when I DDRed without stretching. I kept tearing muscles near my ankles because of it, and had to quit soccer because of the pain. ;___; (I was mostly on the defense and it's easier to get injured)

In my gym class, we have this exercise where we have to sit Indian style, put our arms behind our backs; we have to latch our hands together and force them up in the air as far as we can, by moving them like we are going to pull them over our heads. My friend David is hilarious;
he can't touch his toes either. But me on the other hand, can touch my face to the floor, without breaking Indian style, or my hands apart, while doing this exercise. David freaks out! :lol:

I've never been able to touch my toes, or even my ankles...it just hurts too much. I think it's unnatural. One day I'll take up yoga and be able to do it, but as of now...no it's not going to happen.

I just think its silly that you are required to touch your toes in order to get an A in gym. Actually, I hated all those fitness tests they made me do. It was unfair and biased, I mean there is no way on Earth that I will ever be able to run a mile. Especially in spring or fall because I have horrible allergies that peak in spring and fall making it difficult for me to breathe.

Course that is considered an excuse by the teachers so I have only once passed a mile run, nearly passed out after that (got 9min 50-some seconds).

Flexibility and sit-ups were the only things that saved me during those exams.

I'm supre NOT flexible...I like can't do anything lol...I used to be okay at it because I worked out a lot, but my schedule is like ZOMG busy, that I don't have time anymore. :(

But I'm like you...I can't do ANYTHING.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones xD flexibility was always my favourite part of fitness tests, mainly because it was the only thing I was good at :)

Our school had to do some sort of stretching activity today, when you lay flat on your backs and try to raise one leg up straight while the other is flat on the ground.
Apparently, any flexible person would be able to bring their whole leg up in a straight line without bending...
but my upper and lower leg, when brought up, makes a 90 degree angle.
Or at least a 75 degree one. ;___;

I can't touch my toes without tearing up the backs of my legs. Its a proven fact and I'm not about to go ahead and injury myself, A or not. >.>; Maybe. xD

I can, however, twist my legs into a lotus position. And be comfortable in it. Its useful to have when you want to appall your friends.

I can touch my toes but I have a bad back so it hurts. I like to stretch a lot, it feels good, especially when my back starts to hurt.

I'm pretty flexible, but I fail at any athletic thing that requires stamina or strength. xD See, I used to be in gymnastics, but then my parents made me quit because I was involved in too many things. They said I could go back later, but they never let me. TT.TT So alas. I've now grown out of shape and don't feel safe doing flips randomly any more. It is a sad, sad time.

Touching my toes? never! xD

I'm quite good in PE. For Example playing basketball and things like that.... but touching my toes? xD
Before I can touch my toes the world will explode..... x3
