Vincent looked back at the building he had just left. It was chaos back there, something he despised. He ran then hoping to find somewhere to go but he wasn't sure. He could hear people yelling outside the building now and shouting orders to get the horses. He shuddered slightly and ran foreward again.

Risa ran from her home crying. She couldn't tell if anyone was chasing her. All she could hear was a faint ringing, growing louder. Then the ringing stopped. Everything was black and she saw them killing her pet. She ran back to save her beloved pet owl. It fluttered to her head and she jumped on her horse and made it gallop. She could hear screaming. She could see fires. She could feel pain everywhere. She could smell death. She could taste it. She had to get out of there and she had to get out now. They were shooting flaming arrows at her which she dodged gracefully. She got away from them, hiding in a nearby town, when her horse, Cloud, reared and she fell off. Poe her owl flew onto Cloud and cocked her head at Risa on the ground. She moaned and fell asleep.

Vincent kept running until he felt like he was safe. He walked from there, catching his breath. He looked down at the ground after a while. He saw a figure laying their next to a horse. Bending down he shook her gently.

"Excuse me," he said gently. "Miss, wake up."

He was concerned for her. It was not good that someone should fall off their horse to the ground and just lay there.

She growled and puched him in the face, thinking he was there to kill her pets "You're not going to kill my pets! Get away from them!" She jumped up and placed herself in between her pets and the boy, growling.

Vincent fell backwards after being punched. He shook his head lightly warding off a head ache. He looked up at the girl and started moving backwards. "Oh god," he said. "Don't tell me you're working for them. I'm just trying to get the bloody hell away from them!" He stood now his height being at approximately five foot eleven. His eyes showed a hint of fear but he did not show it any other way.

She readied herself to be attacked but didn't dare to attack, he looked strong. "Who the hell are you?!" She demanded fiercely "I'm not working for anyone!But I've been trained by them. Oh yes I lived with them, as their daughter! They trained me well...too well." She grinned. "Don't come any closer or I'll do to you what I did to them!"

Vincent shook his head slightly. "You're their... daughter," he asked a bit rudely. He shook his head again from disbelief. "So you know I'm Vincent Collett. I've been running away from that mansion a ways that way." He pointed towards the way he had come from. He shifted his weight in case he attacked her. He sidestepped getting ready to pick up something he had dropped but he didn't want to keep his eyes off of her. "I was trained just as well as you so I'd watch your guard."

She glared at him when she side stepped but then made a mock pouty face "Oh you would hit a girl would you, now?" She moved so she was still in between her pets and him.

Vincent nodded slightly picking up the necklace that his mother had given to him off the ground. "We could fight or come to way of peace and join together on this escape from our prisons." he suggested calmly. The necklace was in his grasp now and he rose to full height. He place the necklace around his neck always watching her.

Her eyes never strayed from him, glaring the whole time, of course. "What's that?" She asked quietly, pointing to the necklace.

"My mother gave it to me," Vincent said. "It was given to her by my father and he inherited it from his mother. It's the only thing I have left of my family. The foul leaders that were breeding my kind for war killed them for rebelling and it left me an orphan." He was calmer now and less defensive.

She laughed rudely "Well at least you had parents. I wasn't teated like a child but more of a fighter. Like I was dead" She said dead disgustedly "At least you had something to loose." She whistled to Poe and she flew to her head. Risa pulled a small locket off the owl's foot and opened it to show a picture of her friend and brother. "Oh, they were better than my parents, they talked to me, and took care of me. If it weren't for them I'd be dead. But once I was older they were just as bad. Now there dead. Because I killed them. I killed them all."

"And tell me why you killed them," Vincent asked even more aware of her now. "Was it because they did one simple thing to you? Did you want revenge?" He stepped forward slowly to look at the image. When he had done that he looked at her face making eye contact for a moment. He broke it almost immediately out of habit and flinched as he waited to be hit.

She froze when he took a step closer, preparing herself to be hit. but then calmed again "No, because..." She took a deep breath "Because they tried to kill Poe. And Cloud. They all want to kill my pets, and now they want to kill me, for killing their leaders. They won't get me. Never will I let them harm my pets!" She was starting to get angry with the dead again. Then she smiled "You need to stop flinching. Don't show your fear and they don't hit you...as much."

Vincent stared at her. "Last time I looked someone in the eye I got punched so hard that I couldn't see out of one eye for a week." he said and then spat as if to get the foul idea out of his mouth. "Your pets I will not harm." He looked at her pet and tried not to make eye contact. He was looking past her at the horse now, such a beautiful creature.

She closed the locket and fastened it back to Poe's leg like it was before. "Well you wouldn't get to them if you tried anyway." She shrugged. "It's still nice to know your not going to try, it would be a shame to kill someone so like me." She said it as if it would be impossible for him to win. "Well I should probably get going, there still chasing me. Would you like to join me on the run?" Poe landed on her head as she jumped back on Cloud, and once she was stable and extended a hand his way.

Vincent looked surprised when she offered him her hand. He paused for a moment knowing that he didn't know her name. He took her hand firmly grasping it.

She smiled and pulled him onto Cloud behind her. "Sorry There's no sattle. I didn't really have time to get one." She clicked her tounge and Cloud raced off away to the next town. "My name is Risa, by the way."

Vincent went with the motion. He was surprised when the horse took off and wrapped his arm's around Risa's waist without realizing it. "I'm Vincent, but never call me Vince," he said. "They called me that."

She clicked her jaw when he tightened his grip on her and mumbled "Okay" trying to focus on leading Cloud, even though she knew Cloud could very eaisily lead himself.

Vincent loosened his grip after he got used to the horse's stride. It was the first time riding a horse for him so it was a new experience. He hadn't wanted to say so though. He looked back to see another person on horse back not far behind. "Shit," he muttered. "Do you have any long range weapons?"

She leaned over to look at their follower. She laughed rudely at him. "Pff, I could take him out so eaisily. I'll be right back. Don't worry, I've trained Cloud well, he doesn't need any help finding his way." With that she jumped off Cloud and when the man following them passed, not noticing her, she grabbed the sattle and sat behind the man. She took out a small knife and stabbed it through his neck, then shoved him off she calmed the horse and took off it's sattle. She rode it about a mile ahead of Cloud and Vincent and let it go, then when Cloud passed she grabbed his main and pulled herself back on. "Taken care of." She simply said that and hoped for no questions.
