Vincent had decided to stay in the cave since he had no where else he could really go. The horse was silently munching on an apple he had gotten him out in the forest after Risa had left. He was leaning against the wall reading the book with pages filled.

She heard the crunch crunch crunch of Shadowfax eating an apple and was glad she could easily find him. She made no sound but stood, thinking of what she could say after she had screamed. She was still a little annoyed he had still not figured it out or at least not told her he had. Instead of talking she started singing a song she had learned a long time ago. "When the rhythm starts to play, dance with me, make me sway. Like the lazy ocean hugs the shore, hold me close, sway me more. When the rhythm starts to play, dance with me..." Vincent didn't get the clue but he looked up at Risa a bit confused. He stood up though reluctant to move at all. "I'm sorry about your friend," he said with his head slightly bowed.

Her mouth slowly moved out in a small grin. "I-...who?" She was the one confused now, having no idea who he was talking about.((=O it's on a cologne commercial here! 8) ))

Vincent noticed that she was confused and stopped his mumbling. He felt like being rash right now so he hugged her.

((totally! 8) )) She blinked at his sudden change of character. "Vincent...? Are you feeling okay?" She didn't want to be rude so she didn't push him away.

He let go finally and looked at her. "You've been very nice to me and I haven't done much good," he said bowing slightly.

She crossed her arms. "I will have none of that if it weren't for you, I'd be dead right now. I'd say that's enough good for a lifetime. A lifetime, of course, of not being evil, that is. And the horses, I couldn't rescue Shadowfax and Sephiroth if it weren't for you, either! And who would I have to sing to if I were to be all alone?" She asked with a small smile, even if it was nearly microscopic it was comforting to her to know it was there.

Vincent nodded slightly and he smiled slightly though it faded quickly. "But you had L before he went away and now you have your brother," he reminded.

She shook her head. "Even as close of a friend as L was to me he was a liar which means he was never there for me. He just made me think that. My brother has just turned up I have lived with the fact that I killed him for almost my intire life I think I could still live without him but I only wanted him to come to the house because...well he was living like you are. You should come back too, there are three bedrooms, I remind you." She grinned.

Vincent nodded slightly in response to what she was saying. He was a bit tired and not sure as to what he should be doing at the present time. "All right," he said gently. "I'll come back but don't tell him any of my weaknesses, I don't want to get my life threatened again."

"with Shadowfax as my witness, I solemnly swear on my life and pain of re-death I will not." She laughed a little "Well we should go before the sun rises," She said and started walking towards the exit.

Vincent nodded and placed a hand on the horse's back. "If you want to know anything about me I can tell you," he added. Though in the back of his mind he doubted that she would be the slightest bit interested.

She started out into the forest with Vincent and Shadowfax close behind "Well now that you mention it, I was wondering, what is that book you have? The journal looking one?" She asked, intrigued by the fact that never before had she seen it even in all the time they had spent together.

"It's stories about my past and things I wrote when I wasn't being enslave. My aunt is the one who bakes the apple pies and she's very in tune with nature," he said with a sigh. He glanced at her for a brief moment and felt childish briefly, but it passed quickly.

She nodded and smiled a little. "So that's why Cloud broke down my door..." She thought aloud to herself.

Vincent nodded slightly. "She can't help it sometimes," he said.

She looked back at him but kept walking. "Well I didn't mind it, it gave me something to do." Seconds after she was done she tripped on a root and fell on her face. "Oww..." She groaned, staying on the ground.

Vincent ran forward and helped her up. "Are you okay?" he asked frantically.

She laughed a little "I'm fine, this is why I shouldn't turn my head when I'm walking." She stood up and started walking again but slower.

Vincent offered his arm to her, hoping she'd accept it. Maybe then she wouldn't fall.

She smield and took his arm as they continued to walk.

Vincent seemed relaxed. The sun was beginning to rise though but he ignored it.

She saw the sun and bit her lip. "Uh we might wanna hurry it up a little the sun is about to rise..." She said it quietly as always.

Vincent ignored the sun for the most part and smiled gently at her. "It's all right," he said. "I don't think a little sun will do that much."
