Shadowfax starting nudging Vincent towards Risa. She neighed softly and nibbled the back of his neck. He gave her a strange look and then jumped when he nearly fell over a root that was sticking out of the ground.

She didn't move towards or away from him just around him. Se walked into the middle of the clearing in front of her house and sat there, looking up at the moon.

Vincent led the horse into the barn and then walked towards Risa. "I want to help you," he said bluntly.

She looked up at him and didn't say anything, but shook her head back and fourth.

Vincent sat down next to her not caring if she didn't want him there. He started singing now, hoping she'd calm down.

She looked at him and smiled at his song.

He was lazy right now and didn't feel like moving. This made it harder for him for some reason to accept the fact that it would more likely and probable that he wouldn't be able to help her at all.

She looked back up at the moon and didn't move or say anything.

"The moon is very pretty," Vincent commented a moment later looking up at the sky. "I like it a lot."

She smiled and nodded in agreement "My only friend that can't leave me..." She said quietly.

"I don't want to leave you," Vincent admitted. "Your brother just seemed like he was forcing me out so I left because I don't want to be a burden to either of you."

She looked at him, angry with her brother He always does this!" She said, then calmed down a little "But I will punish him later..."

Vincent nodded slightly and then laid down on the grass. He was studying the sky now like he could memorize it. "Well if I do leave you can always remember that we'll be looking at the same moon," he reminded.

She nodded but didn't say anything, though she was pretty sure he wouldn't see her.

Vincent shut his eyes to relax a bit more in the cool night air. "Tell me," he began. "What was your childhood like?"

She thought for a moment "...painful..." She said simply.

"That's not fun," Vincent responded stoicly. "Why not try to make a different future?" It was an innocent question he didn't really think about since he wanted honest answers from her.

She laughed once "I already have," She said, smiling at the sky.

"That's good," Vincent said with a grin. He loved her laugh but decided not to comment about something like that.

She smiled and nodded, looking at him for once.

"Lay down," Vincent urged. "It's more comfortable and the moon looks far more beautiful from this perspective." He was happy for the moment that he could spend this time with her since he sometimes felt separated from her.

She smiled and laid her head on the icy grass. "You couldn't be more right..." She said, gazing into the sky.

His hand brushed up against hers slightly and he took his hand away quickly. He was silent for a moment and then he shifted slightly to glance at her.

She looked over at him and smiled, then held his hand.

Vincent smiled slightly as he felt her hand take his. "It's quiet out and that makes it very peaceful," he said with a smile.
