She shook her head "Yes, I'm sure, it was my fault for pushing him." She said with a slight smile.

"It can't be your fault," Vincent said gently. "He may just have a short temper."

She smiled and shook her head "Trust me, for I am the one who was always beside him, but never with him, I was the one, always listening to his ramblings, but never understanding, I was the one, always there when he needed me, but never needing him, I was the sister, without a name or face." She said, without a fading smile "I was the one, who loved him the greatest, after his shouting, never once doubting my strength, because I was his sister, the truly infamous." She looked out the window, at what was now dusk, then looked back to Vincent "I wrote that a long time ago...it's getting late...would you like to go outside? It's fun to chase the fireflies after dark..." She said with a high laugh, letting her hair fall back over the cut.

Vincent only nodded slightly in response to her suggestion though he really wasn't sure what to think. "All right," he said after a moment of silence with her laugh echoing in his head.

She smiled and walked outside slowly, and sat on the ground, not moving, just waiting for the night to come. She started tapping her finger on the ground until she got a tune in her head, the hokey pokey. She giggled a little at the word echoing in her mind and hummed it softly. Soon, slowly, slower than the sun sets, her tune got louder and louder until she started singing, softly at first, and soon those words grew louder and louder as well "You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what, it's all a-bout! You do the hookey pokey, you do the hookey pokey, you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what, it's all a-bout!" She sang, laughter staring to cloud her words as she danced with the beat in her heart and the words in her mouth.

Vincent was caught by surprised when she started dancing and he looked a bit clueless for a moment. He sat down where he was so he could watch her and not get in her way.

She gave up and put her hands on her knees, laughing despite she was out of breath. She walked over to him and looked down, crossing her arms like an angry mother would to her children and making a pouty lip "Now won't you dance the hokey pokey with me?" She asked, starting to laugh again and offering him a hand.

Vincent looked clueless for a moment. "What's the hokey pokey?" he asked bluntly. He hadn't been able to experience mutiple pleasures as a child and dancing and music had been one of them. Listening to her sing was a miracle for him and he had been intently interested in that.

She laughed and pulled him up, spinning him a little then letting go "You put your left foot in, you put your left foot out, you put your left foot in and you shake it all about, you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself about, thats what it's all a-bout!" She said, dancing as she sang "You just do what the song says!" She said laughing "Like this!" She said, standing across from him and grabbing his hand "You put your left hand in," She sang, pulling his hand closer, "You put your left hand out," Then pushed it away "You put your left hand in, and you shake it all a-bout!" Then she pulled it back and shook it wildly for a moment, laughing "You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what, it's all a-bout!" She said, spinning him and then herself, her laughter growing louder "Now just do that except with whatever the song says, not just your hand!" She said, starting to sing again "You put your right hand in..." She sang slowly, hoping he would understand.

Vincent arched his eyebrow slightly after being spun around and stared at her like she was crazy. Getting to his feet he looked unsure of himself for a moment but he understood what she had been talking about. He put his right hand it, merely to please her but he was afraid he'd fall.

She grinned and put her hand in as well "You put your right hand out, you put your right hand in, and you shake it all about! You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what it's all a-bout! You do the hookey pokey, you do the hookey pokey, you do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what, it's all a-bout!" She sang, laughing.

Vincent gave up before he even moved much more. "I can't dance and I'm not supposed to dance or sing either," he said stubbornly. He was completely serious in his tone and he was standing with very good posture now, as if at attention.

She stopped laughing and frowned, then scrunched her face up and crossed her arms "Well fine then, I'm going inside..." She said sourly, walking back to the door and slamming it behind her. When she got to the window she closed all the curtains and went into the kitchen, starting to cook a cake.

Vincent looked extremely confused since he had been told repeatedly that he would get killed if he danced. He felt a rage of emotion sweep over him and he became confused. A squirrel chattered nearby and made its way towards the window. "What am I doing?" he asked himself. "I'm going against the people who protected me since Iw as young. They said it was evil and it would cause me great harm to do those things."

Once she put the cake in the oven she became extremely bored and leaned against the wall, slowly sinking to the floor. She sighed when she hit the floor and sat, closing her eyes she became still, drifting off into her locked away mind until the ding of the timer brought her back to reality. She jumped, not expecting it, and pulled the cake out, then turned off the oven and timer. She stared at the cake for a while then decided to ice it, so she began to mix the thick creamy icing.

The squirrel began tapping on the window with its paw frantically. Vincent in the meanwhile had squatted down on the ground burying his head in his arms from confusion. He shuddered slightly as he tried to forget what they had done to him once when he had attempted some for of music and they said he sounded horrible. He had been singing in the forest earlier because the memory hadn't haunted him.

She heard a tapping on the window and set down her mixing bowl with a harsh tap of the ceramic on the counter top, obviously using too much force in her short tempered anger. Then she walked briskly to the window and yanked the curtain open to see and small squirrel tapping frantically on the window. She glared at it for a moment, wondering what it was doing, and became mesmerized by it.

The squirrel kept tapping and when she noticed she was really understanding it jumped off and ran away towards the front of the house. Vincent didn't noticed the squirrel but sat there blankly. He was staring at the trees now as if his body was nothing but a shell.

She walked back outside to the squirrel and stared down at it, not making a sound nor movement, just staring at it running off.

The squirrel came back a moment later and looked like it was glaring at her and then turned around again to run back to vincent who still looked like he was frozen.

She sighed and walked over to him "Hey..." She said quietly, putting her hand on his shoulder, "Want some cake?" She said with a small smile.

Vincent didn't respond but still stared. He was bit by the squirrel and the trance was lifted. "I'm sorry," he said when he noticed Risa. "You told me not to do it, I was being bad." He looked frightened now as if he were about to be punished.

She looked at him concerned "What? Vincent, are you feeling alright?" She asked, her voice matching her face. "Come on, lets go inside, it's getting late..." She said quieter now, realizing how late it actually was.

Vincent stood up slightly, shaking his head. He was shaking slightly and when he seemed to have cleared his mind he looked worse than he had before. "I think I need to lay down," he admitted sheepishly.

She smiled a little, like a nurse would, only to comfort, and walked him inside and into his room. "There you go if you need anything just holler and I'll be here." She said with a more meaningful smile.
