When Benjamen came down she smiled and skipped merrily out the door, which proved difficult because of her bags. She walked over to Cloud and fastened her bags on him, which didn't bother him since e was trained for heavy lifting and long, uninterrupted walks. Then she proceeded to get onto Cloud which was also hard for her because she was tired and unaware of his movements. She eventually made it on and saw Benjamen waiting for her and Vincent to get ready, and in a mimicking voice he said "Hurry up or we'll leave without you," She stared at him with a serious look upon her face "Oh Benjamen, I thought you were better then that..." She said in a grim tone. His eyes widened, his chin dropped, and his voice rose into a defensive and very high one "But- you just- did that in there- and- and...." She smirked "I got nothing." He said, and she giggled.

Vincent felt slightly awkward as he carried out his own bag. He fastened it on and was a bit too busy tending to Shadowfax to realize that they were both pretty much ready.

He was brought back from his trance like state when he heard giggles arise from the two. He immediately got on the horse after that, who didn't flinch under his weight.

"All right," he said. "Let's move towards the mountains.

"O.K." She said with a grin, while Benjamen simply added to his sudden silence. She looked down at Cloud "Shall we?" She asked him, with a mockingly fake accent. Cloud just snorted and headed towards the mountains.

Vincent just laughed before he made the direction for Shadowfax to go towards the forest. He was excited to be out on a journey.

As they went deeper and deeper into the forest towards the mountains, Risa looked around, awestruck by all the beauty that was waiting there all this time. She tried to take it all in, and snapped pictures every ten seconds, picking up an occasional nook or cranny, like flowers and leaves and blossoms. She put them all in the tiny food bag she kept separate from the rest of her belongings and it quickly grew full of all the wonders the had collected.

Vincent looked completely at ease in the forest. He had his eyes closed as he rode the horse. He didn't completely understand why it knew where he wanted to go but it did. He'd had a plan to go to the caves for a while and then move further up to a place his grandmother took him where there was a small cabin.

She grinned as they neared the caves "Do you think we should stay here for a little?" She asked Vincent, because she felt like he had the best plan for this occasion, remembering that he planned before running unlike she had, just blindly running in a different direction as they chased her and shot at her.

"In the forest," he asked. "No. It's too dangerous for me. There scent is stronger here than up in the mountains." He seemed relaxed enough at the moment.

She smiled and shook her head "Alright," She said, the looked up in the sky "It's getting late..." She said, a little concerned. She tilted her head "You're awfully quiet, Benjamen," She said to him suspiciously "What's up?" She asked cheerfully, sticking her nose in his business.

Vincent seemed to be listening more carefully now as he waited for Benjamin to answers. He was curious beyond reason since he was essentially the one who had pulled them out of their home.

He sat tense as he forced himself to observe the forest more now so that he'd be distracted if her brother said anything foul.

He grunted. "Maybe it's because I've just been pulled out the door of the closest thing I ever had to a home." He said, a hint of anger looming around his usual toneless voice, "But you know, what do I know...just a though..." He added sarcastically. She looked down silently, then looked back up at him with anger filled eyes and a hard look on her face "Maybe more has happened in that house than you know of, Benjamen, and I'm not going to hold your lack of knowledge against you, I'm just going to leave it the f**k be, and hope one day, that you will get what I mean by that, even though I'm already one hundred percent sure you never will, I'll jut keep my hopes up and my eyes to the horizon of tomorrow." She said in a harsh tone, stunning even herself, then kicked Clouds sides slightly, telling him to run.

Vincent was jolted from his pleasant reverie when he heard the harsh words cross Risa's lips. He jumped slightly and a few animals also seemed to become a bit jumpy at the same time. The strongest word in her little speech seemed to hit a nerve for him and he sat in silence at that point, sitting ridged from anxiety.

Benjamen was so shocked he almost fell off his horse, he had never heard her so much as speak in a harsh tone to anyone. He was half shocked and half impressed, so he managed to grin and laugh one cold, menacing laugh, masking his shock in amusement "I have to say I'm impressed. Never though you had it in you." He said challengingly. She didn't turn back to look at him when she responded in a blank and pleasant, for the most part, voice "You don't know a lot of things, love." She said not bothering to stop. Then she looked back with a smile to Vincent "Coming?" She asked in a voice more like hers, happy and soft.

The horse moved forward at a faster pace when Risa had spoken. Vincent had a slightly sullen expression on his face. He seemed to be lost in an unpleasant thought and a chattering squirrel raced paced them and leaped up onto Risa's horse.

[sorry I have been gone so much...vacation -.-'] She smiled at the squirrel and pet it on the head, then it ran off back into the trees. Benjamen collected himself, shocked yet again at how nice she remained to be to Vincent, then he, too, proceeded forward, but made sure to keep his distance form Risa.

The horse had moved up besides Risa's by now and snorted slightly as if frustrated. Vincent glanced at her and smiled weakly before looking ahead. He hated the harsh words she'd used and was now trying to block them out of his head.

[well this one wasn't. I think it made things worse :roll: ] She smiled back, then took out a small pair of scissors out and let her hair fall on her face. She took time to straighten it and keep it steady with her fingers, then began cutting it until it was only a few inches long. She held onto the hair though, taking ever precaution needed to keep anyone form finding them ever again.

Vincent was taken out of his trance by the snipping of the scissors. He watched her and made sure no hair was dropped on the ground. "Be careful," he said after a moment. "I don't want you put into any danger because you dropped pieces of hair."

((ah...))

She half smiled at him, putting the scissors away as she answered, "I've cut more in worse situations, I think we'll be okay." She said, looking up at him then looking at her new hair do in a small mirror she had managed to pull out.

Vincent just smiled slightly before returning his gaze ahead. He was nervous again since he'd never really had a place to call his own home. The house they were leaving was in no way a place he could even consider his home since the walls seemed to belong in Risa's memory and to Risa herself.

She looked up to the sky "You know...technically, we should be in jail right now...we killed a man and his house and now we are running away....interesting..." She said aloud, but quietly.

"Then if you put it that way, technically I should be dead," he added in an equally quiet voice. "Jumped a few guards on my way out of the 'prison.'" He seemed to recall what they looked like for a moment before shaking his head and smiling slightly.

A small, wryly and a little crazy smile flashed on her face for a moment, but was gone as soon as it had appeared, she heard a low growl near by. She was frozen and very tense. When she growl became louder, she slowly turned her head to the direction to see what made the sound.

Vincent had tensed too since he sensed something. The wretched smell reached him and the horses sensed the change of his state of mind. He shivered slightly as he strained to concentrate on what was in front of him.

Risa shifted her jaw and fixed her eyes. slowly she sounded out the words, each syllable at a time "You do not belong in the land of the living." She growled through clenched teeth, then smiled a creepily nice smile, but as it slowly contaminated her features, it turned into a menacing and almost crazy grin, making their visitor show some emotion.
