They have from small dolls to the big dolls. You get to create your own doll, but you have to put effort on the doll. Does take awhile on the face up, which means putting paint or brushing like makeup for the doll.
I think wigs for the dolls go for $15 USD or more. But, I have to figure out the size for the wig.
Oh, I didn't know that you could do layaway on a website, I've never heard of that. It's pretty interesting to look. Omg, little chibis? O. o
Hm... It's definitely interesting but definitely expensive. I'd never have the money for that sort of hobby. >.<
I always add the total on the comments on the trade.
The trade will be sent by Syaoran_Li.
@ zig:
Yea, I did not know that either till I heard about it on a site. I was happy when I sent the layaway order on New Year's Day of this year. I split it into 6 monthly payments, which are about $46 dollars a month.
Yes they do have little dolls which are so cute, but I rather go for a big doll. XD
Yea, somehow I am going to make the effort for the money, but I have to sell some stuff for it.
I was actually just looking at it now.
I found two different dolls that I would buy. If I find a job soon I might put one of them on layaway.
I was looking at these two dolls: Kyo and Dylan
Yes it sure does take a lot of commitment on creating a doll. I have been studying on how to do a face up and taking care of the doll. So much work and yet it will be worth it.
Thank you for the good luck. I have found some wigs already for the doll. I might look into Volks soon and hope to visit their store, even though they are only open on the weekends, which is in Los Angeles.
@ Lilith:
Oh, I see. I hope you can buy them soon, once you get that job.
I need to get one because my funds are almost out from my taxes. Had to pay off bills first. D;
I did not see who was Dylan, since the link was messed up.
I am getting Fantasy Doll Nina. I am going to create her since she is just plain right now. I will add all the hard work on making her my first doll on my own, maybe with some help. XD Course I will be adding the face up, her outfits, everything.
I don't have time to watch the video ATM but I am interested and will watch it soon. I do have a question though. The painting of the face you keep talking about is like adding makeup to them right? Is it something you redo like real makeup on your face or is it permanent?
I would watch but my internet hates youtube.
And doing the makeup yourself would save a lot of money but I would still be worried about messing it up. And I've never been great with small painting peices.
In order that to be explain, it is in the video, which shows Mr. Super Clean Flat. That does is to protect the details of the makeup.
@ Lilith W:
With pastels, you can just erase it. No worries about it. Plus, you should have a flat (Mr. Super Clean which is on the video) on before you start with the pastels. It will not effect the doll.
There! I finally got around to watching that video. It's pretty interesting, it looks like you're able to re-do it whenever you want by erasing and/or washing it off. I'm not too sure about the varnish though, I'm pretty sure that's permanent... >.<
I've played around in Photoshop a bit but I think my version might be CS2.... I have Illustrator as well but I've never really gotten how to use it either... >.<
That sounds pretty interesting though, I wish you the best of luck! I'm currently trying to do some research for an art history term paper. >.< I found what I want to do that paper on I think but now I've just gotta find some sources and stuff. >.<
I am happy now because my friend got me Photoshop CS3 and Illustrator CS3. I might have to play around with those a bit later because I am working on reading on my second class. I read most of the time I was in class trying to keep up with others.
Thank you for the best of luck. It is going to take me awhile to realized that I have homework and school. D;
I hope I can find a job too, that way I can get some funds to get a car.
