BOTH! It's fun when you make a day of it and just go to the mall with some friends or a boyfriend/girlfriend but it's also fun to click a button, type in a few numbers and then BAM, then item that you want is on it's way...and you never leave the comfort of your chair.

I prefer shopping at a mall.
Its a lot of fun and I love going into dressing rooms and trying things on.
I only shop online if I absolutely need too.
I had to order my lizards food online before I got fed up with crickets arriving dead so I went to my local pet store to order 1,000 instead.
Anyways I do remember buying one thing from ebay. Since I don't have paypal or cards, my brother or step-dad had to do it.
I bought a OMG hat from cosplayers closet.
It was hosted on ebay.
I want to buy some things online but as for clothes I don't know how it will fit.
Especially shoes, it always depends on how they're made.
I can range from a 7.5 to a 8.5 or a 9 in sizes depending upon the brand and how they're made.
The only time I ordered shoes online was for school and thank God they fit!

Mall! I'm not allowed to shop online, Though, I wish I could. I'd probably be broke every month after pay. I can find a lot of things I want at the mall, but If I can't find it usually a book of some sort I'll order it online.
We ordered my DDR online, for my Xbox, that's about it.

I don't really know how to shop online...and I think it's scary when you have to give a credit card number to order. A lot of books seem cheaper online, but usually if I order them I just give someone else the money plus a little extra and have them order it.

I do most of my shopping online - I can buy clothes online from certain stores (like NY & Co - I know what size I wear there so I can buy stuff from them online, and if I don't like it I can return it to the store).
I've never used ebay and don't even have an account . . I usually stick with amazon or direct retailers sites. I found a really neat one recently called greenfeet.com.
I'm actually trying to stop buying books - I'm making an effort to borrow books from the library, and if the library doesn't carry the book then I will buy it. I will also buy a book if I really really liked it and want to own my own copy - like the His Dark materials series.
I don't really like going to the mall anymore, I find I get really annoyed at the idiots running around the mall and I just don't enjoy myself much anymore, but i can still go to Target and have a good time just shopping and not actually spending much. ;)

I would prefer to go shopping at the mall, then to go
shopping at ebay. You can find a better price at the
mall, as well as sales. On ebay, everything is expensive.
Well, that's what I guess, since I never use ebay.
Plus, online shopping requires you to give out your credit
card number. Would you really trust the site?
You don't necessarily need to drive to the mall.
Well... if the mall is too far away for one to walk,
then I guess one would need to drive. But still, walking
around the mall, looking at stuff, you get exercise and
you have fun at the same time. ^^

Oh I love both! <3
As fun as the mall is, the problem is that ours is pretty far away. I can't drive, so getting all the way other there doesn't happen too often. I'm hoping they'll build another somewhere closer to me. D: I do buy the large majority of my clothes at the mall.
BUT I love eBay and Amazon and just buying from random people in selling communities. It's lots of fun to be able to get things you wouldn't normally be able to, and since I collect a bunch of really weird stuff, well that's what makes it even possible. The only downside I can think of is the wait time, I'm super impatient so shipping time drives me crazy. I used to sell online as well but packaging stuff up was just too much hassle so I don't do it that often anymore.
@ DarkMelancholy: A lot online stores, along with eBay, take PayPal, so giving out your credit card information isn't necessary. :o

I use both. ^-^ For books and stuff, I usually just
go to a store. The bookstore isn't that far away, so
it doesn't use much gas. I have bought clothes online,
and everything fits, looks good. But I wouldn't suggest
buying shoes from online. One time, they were a bit big,
even though they were my size. But most of the time,
everything fits. That's what measurements are for. xD

- I don't have a credit card, so i don't really buy online. although online does have alot of things you can't find in store. I really don't feel safe shopping on ebay though. My computer background makes me feel like hackers are watching every number i put in the network  I prefer shopping in the mall though. I like doing things instead of staying in one place and i hate waiting for delivery o.o

Online has more choices of stuff...but in person...it can be lots of fun. :3 I love both, but can hate both sometimes too. I hate waiting in line at stores...and as for the internet, I always wonder if they'll ever actually send it. ^^; You gotta watch out for shady sellers on the internets.

I buy nothing online save for the contribution items here. I can't help thinking that the Internet is too unreliable to use for shopping. Besides, there is a mall very close to where I live, so I like to hang out there when I've got nothing better to do. I know that sme things are only available in the Internet, but still...

It depends.
I get video games and books and the like off of eBay because it's easier and sometimes cheaper.
Clothes I need to buy at a store, because my body is an awkward shape and some clothes look way different on the hanger than they do on me (either better or worse...certain shades of yellow and blue totally wash me out...and certain ugly greens actually look decent on me). Not to mention I currently have NO clue what size I am (all I know is all my size 8-11 clothes don't fit anymore...way too big).

LAWL.
My dad's job revolves around eBay and paypal and all that jazz..so we're constantly getting boxes and boxes of DVD's and statues and other junk that he buys..I swear we must have every anime series ever made, and every 70's american cartoon series...plus all the "new" movies. Ahh. My dad is what you'd call a collector. :3
But I'm not interested in DVD's or Statues, I'm into accecsories (sp?), clothes, shoes, bags, you know. The usual girl stuff. ;3
Once I went online to a place called YesAsia or something like that, basically you order these super cute Harajuku clothes, and I fell in love with every peice of clothing they had! The clothes were just so damn cute! ;-; I begged my dad if I could buy some, but he said no for so many reasons..
A. "How do you know they fit?!"
B. "It'll take DAYS to get here!!"
C. "Ive never heard of this site, how do you know its not a scam, eh?"
BLEH. I hate shopping at the mall for clothes though! D;
The only clothes stores around me are Hot Topics or American Eagles. PSH. Ugly clothes stores. (No offence to any Menewshans who shop there.) Theres this one asian mall called the Pacific Mall that sells super cute clothes, but they're all over 100 dollars. (For example, my friend bought a hair elastic for 40 bucks there...and it was something that looked like it was from claires for a dollar fifty...)
I like to buy videogames and electronic of the web, no problem, but I geuss I'll never be able to buy clothes. (But he does have a point, my dad. Because how WOULD I know they fit me? They could get here after 3 weeks of waiting and be waay too tight...Dx)
PSHR. ;3

I pretty much go to the mall for everything unless it some foreign thing that I want and must order online. I prefer not to buy things online because I would have to use a credit card or paypal. I don't like using either not just because of the whole issue of having people steal the credit card number and what not but because I will then have no concept of my money. If I don't see the cash, I can easily overspend. Besides, I like that gratification of buying something and getting to have it right then and there. It's just nice.
...I would spend waaaaay too much money if I started buying things online.

i prefer shopping at the mall because i consider it a social experience as well as a shopping experience in which i have the opportunity to browse and share opinions on items with friends. yeah, i doubt anybody is going to have a friendly get together to browse items on ebay.
not to mention that even though i feel comfortable with shopping online, i think that it's only natural to have reservations about submitting private financial content online. at a mall, using financial tools like a credit card or cash are tangible resources, and you can tell exactly what is occurring and what information is being submitted. with online payments, it's far more unclear, and issues with privacy and online security risks make the mall far more appealing when it comes to dealing with personal finances.

I mostly shop at the mall. I've only shopped online a few times. I prefer shopping at the mall because, memarcus, its a good social/shopping experience. Online can be quick and easy but then you have to wait and stuff. I'd rather go the store myself and see what I'm buying and decide for myself if its good or not and maybe get an opinion or 2.

I hardly ever shop online, but I can't, really...I have a feeling when I'm 18, my online shopping will increase XD I like buying books online, like books you can't really find in stores, and book sets. I do NOT want to buy clothes off the internet. That's just weird. I have to know if they'll fit, and to try them on and stuff. So yeah...
I lurve the mall, because it has OMGSQUEE hot topic.

- I never buy things online unless I have to like some school books which I can find cheaper on Amazon. Otherwise I never shop online. I don't get how to buy clothes online either... because what if it doesn't fit or doesn't look good on you? Guys.. i can understand buying clothes online like t shirts and such, but girls it's kinda hard.
I'd rather go to a mall to shop for books to read too so I can actually flip through them. ><
