Well I can star my list XD yeah i have had many really
Luckily never a physical one but very hard ones and i regret every minute of them =(
my mom says that every child needs to be disciplined in order to behave in a manner acceptable to others and observe the defined limits of freedom. Sometimes punishment becomes unavoidable,
I dont think you need to punish your child for behaviour that may be part of his normal development such as occasional bedwetting, thumb sucking or tantrums.
I dont think you need to punish your child for accidental mishaps. If your child drops a soft drink on the carpet, do not scold him but tell him to be more careful next time. Such encouragement will help the child in his learned responses.
Right?
I was punished with a variety of things here's a list:
no tv
no computer
no going out
no phone calls
no sweets (desserts)
no staing up late at night not even with a book
no music ;__;
no going out of my room
no going out of the house
cleaning the house
doing the shopping for a month
no talking to me (so horrible and painful) this one lasted like a week I cried all days of it.
no buying me presents or giving money for a month
Now yo must be thinking oh how horrible girl she is for god sake to receive such punishment but no...funny is that I am not even half of the horrible some of my friends are, it is my parents who over react on everything ;_;
like getting bad grades (c is bad for them) punishment
being a lot online =punishment
answring to them in a bad tone =punishment
forgetting my bag at school =punishment...
Oh come on!"!
I really feel i had enough of this s....t!!!
what about you ? Have you been punished this or another ways?
I remmeber being a child my dad used to punish me with no dinner o,o!!!!

I think my worst iss.......
NO DRAWING( not even at school )
my parents would phone the school and make sure that i don't draw in class and if i do my teacher would sit beside me and write everything for me D;
But that was like in elementary and middle school xD
When i could draw on paper xD
but at the moment it is
No internet/Comp
But my mom forgives me so the next day i can go on xD

Mm my parents aren't very creative, luckily.
I don't really get grounded anymore, but the worst I ever had was no going out for a couple months.

I think the worst I ever had was like,getting scolded.
I'm serious o____<
I never really got in trouble as a kid,still don't.
I'm a safe one.
u____u
My Parents never found the need to punish me.
I'm guessing.
Everyone always talked about getting grounded.
I've never been.
But all my other siblings have.
I'm a weird kid.

Surprisingly enough, I've never been punished.
My dad has threatened, but I just ignore him. : /
He's the cause of my snippy mood, in most cases.

My parents aren't really big on punishment, ususally they just take turns yelling at me. But one time they banished me from the computer for a week. It was hell.

I've most of the time a get a long lecture from my mother and father for only God knows how long. And after their done they either come back after a short while and again lecture me on whatever I have done.
But sometimes they disconnect my connection or shut down my computer when I am not looking which is very annoying. Especially when your in the middle of a download. *sigh*
I had to download those file all over again. I it wouldn't be so bad if the file isn't to big but at most I only leave the computer when the file will take 2 to 3 hours. So yeah it's very annoying.
I have never been grounded thou or forbidden from the computer or TV or a definite time.

>_< my little sister does that. it's really annoying because i'll be running back to the computer, all " stop!" and she looks at me, freaks out, then exits whatever i'm in and runs away.

I think the absolute worst was getting these long, boring, awful talks with a ton of teachers, and having them call my mom, and the other kid's mom, and showing the other teachers the story that was the cause of the trouble, and now, since they've found out that kids go on youtube and myspace at school (what a shocker!), and since I wrote the story on a school computer, none of us get to use computers during class to teach us "appreciation for school resources".
Which I guess isn't very bad. I've never done anything really all that bad.

I refused to clean my room for the longest time, so my mom decided to take one thing out of my room everyday I didn't clean it. First she took my printer, then my stereo, and on the third day I returned home from school to find my bed wasn't in my room anymore. THAT DAMN LADY HAD TAKEN MY BED FROM ME! I slept on the pull out bed downstairs two nights before I couldn't take it anymore, I finally cleaned my room even though it took several hours. Now I always try to keep my room clean, the worst I let it get now is my school work scattered on the floor.

wow.
that's pretty shitty.
actually,
it's really shitty. -_-
and wait.
no one talked to you
in your house
for a week?
i wouldn't cry if that happened to me,
because then i'd finally have some time
to MYSELF, for once.
that wouldn't even be a punishment for me.
i don't get punished,
and i'm pretty much allowed
to do whatever i want. ^^
i get yelled at,
which doesn't bother me,
but i don't get shit taken away.
when i used to live with my mom,
she'd get mad over nothing,
and disconnect my internet,
and shut my cell phone service off.
eventually i got sick of it,
and moved in with my grandma.
my grandma doesn't ground me,
and she doesn't take stuff away.
but she'll yell if i piss her off.
the only "punishment" i get now,
is my mom coming by to take my laptop
every day i stay home from school.
but instead of letting her win,
i put my broken laptop
in my laptop case and LOCK IT,
so she thinks she has my working laptop.
she still hasn't realized
that i'm not going to let her win. xD

I don't get punished alot...I don't remember any specific punishment that was placed on me. But...I remember that one time when i made my mom so mad she cried...that was pretty hard on me. I think that's the worst thing i have ever done, and being guilty about it for the rest of my life is a bad enough punishment. I say that now, but knowing me i'd probably forget about it sooner or later >.>;;;

My parents didn't really punish me too much. :0
They weren't very strict and I was a good kid.
I did get yelled at and stuff for spilling milk,
that always upset me. The worst punishment was
that I was banned from buying toys for awhile. xD
That was pretty hard...

I ran away for about a month and a half two years ago.
When I came back everyone was happy to see me, however I was punished everything was taken out of my room. Everything.
Like I had a mattress, two pairs of clothes, a pair of shoes, and an allowance of a book a week.
I'm used to having my TV, DVD, laptop, phone, cell phone, about 10 books a week, I have a huge closet and all that clothes was taken. My king size bed was taken and I was given an air mattress.
It was horrible.
Oh well. I was almost tempted to leave again.

Well, amazingly, i haven't had too much pushiments, lawl.
It's not that i don't do "bad" stuff...
It's that I don't get caught! >:)
Anyways...
the worst punishment I have ever had,
would deffinately have been when my mom took away;
the television,
the phone,
and the internet,
for two - three weeks! (AIE!)
then she made me;
not able to see my friends,
go to a therapist,
and ration all my sugar, pop, and everything that tastes good,
All because we were in a big fight,
which she accused me of hitting her with my cd player (i was putting it in the front seat and it accidentlly brushed against her arm, no exxagerrations!)
so then i poured my moutain dew all over her seat in the car when she was out for a bit! lawl, that was pretty funny to do though! xD

Hmm x3 Well, this once I wasn't allowed on the computer for a month because I was so involved in a game that I didn't feel like answering the phone at all and my parents seriously thought I'd been kidnapped xD;
And once, my mother took my door off its hinges because she got tired of me locking myself in my room when I didn't feel like facing her.
And my mom cancelled my cell phone service for about a month because I refused to relinquish it when she wanted to take it away once xD I guess that's it. Thankfully, I can't really remember the times I made my mom cry -- that would probably be the worst punishment of all, because I really hate to see anybody hurting. And I hate to be the cause of it -- even when somebody doesn't deserve it, like sometimes my mother hasn't.

Oh god. My mother...is a BITCH. I am not being paranoid when I say that she SPECIFICALLY CHOOSES punishments for me to make me resent her even more than I already do...so of course, when I react badly to her constant bitchiness, she can make ME look like the bad guy. I hate her...I truly despise her. ><;
She once told me I could NEVER watch FMA again. Because "it makes me too angry." UH. NO. Having nightmares so bad that I can't eat makes me angry. Not being able to sleep makes me angry. Having you NOT GIVE A FLYING CHUNK OF FECAL MATTER makes me angry! And cutting me off from the thing that started them WILL NOT keep me from thinking about it or having them; I have TRIED.
But no...she stayed nice and firm in that one. She even had my dad install monitoring software on my computer so she could make sure I wasn't watching it online. Luckily, he thought it was as asinine as I did once I explained the situation (only time he's EVER been on my side in the past 7 years), so he always lied for me and said I wasn't watching it when I really was. My mom had no clue how to read the logs herself...so I was safe. And eventually she just forgot about it.
She also use to like to cut me off from the internet when I NEEDED IT THE MOST, either for the sake of school or my sanity (or even PHYSICAL HEALTH). She was convinced she was doing the right thing...at least that's what she said. What's even better is that she NEVER did it when it was even halfway appropriate.
The last time she pulled that...I snapped, ended up actually hitting her multiple times, and wound up in therapy for months. She never pulled that crap again, but not for fear...it was when she found out that I was so stressed about her asshattery that it caused me to faint, and THAT'S why I was mad enough to physically fight back.
Doctor? What's that? Nope, I never saw a doctor over the fainting. I'm young and healthy! I don't need it! 8D
Only reason she stopped was because she didn't want to be accused of criminal negligence/child abuse. If I'd collapsed and died, that's what would have happened. Yay for failing health? >.>;
She has also stolen and destroyed a good amount of my stuff. She'd probably bring a legal case against me if I did anything like that. >.>;
And lately she's making life hell for me because I broke my hand. Really, it's for all the legal crap...my dad pulled up 108 pages of stuff we should ALL read, and she was all "Oh, tl;dr." And then she proceeded to scream at EVERYONE to just call a lawyer, when we don't know if my case is medical malpractice, a workers' compensation issue, OR BOTH. It's probably both. But that's not so much of a punishment, really.
*cough* Sorry for ranting at you. XD;;

my parents gave me many punishments when i was supposed to be grounded such as loss of privileges like no tv, no phone, no computer, etc. however, my parents were always major pushovers, so none of my punishments ever stuck. however, i found that when my parents stopped trying to punish me, and started talking to me about what my problems were, the issues were addressed much more effectively and i was able to behave in a more responsible way.
the worst punishments i received though, i don't blame my mother for because i realize she was off her medication at the time and therefore blame my mother's mental illness more than my mother herself for her behavior. but there were a couple of instances where my mother would lose her temper, and as punishment would smack or hit me in some way, usually across the face. since i had a sensitive nose at the time, i usually would wind up with nose bleeds or bruises because of this. as soon as my mom gathered her mental composure, she deeply regretted doing this. however, i do understand that her outbursts were the result of her not properly managing her mental illness, and we make sure that she takes care of her mental illness from now on. whenever she properly takes her medication, then i have no problems of this nature.

@fullmetal;; i can completely relate to you.
when i used to live with my mom,
she did the same thing.
she specifically did things
to make me hate her even more.
she kicked me out back in may,
and threatened to call the cops
if i tried to come get my stuff out of her house.
eventually, when i was able to get my stuff
to move it to my grandma's house,
because i decided i wasn't
going to keep living with my mom,
things were missing.
she'd stolen my $1100 camera,
and a bunch of my other stuff.
it wasn't even shit she'd want.
she just did it to spite me.
nice to know i'm not the only one
with a mother like that. >_<

@ Fullmetal Phantom;
my mom does that too!
she always ALWAYS finds a way to blame me for EVERYTHING.
She always makes it look like i'm the bad guy, especially to other people.
And the only reason she doesn't hit me is because she knows i have the means and will to press charges, and that i'm one step away from go to court for emancipation.
i actually would if i had a job.
She actually is most of the cause for two (and possibly one more) of my best friends temporarily hating me. (well one still does xD )
No matter who i'm in a fight with, she makes me out to be the bad guy. (when honestly, i have never once started a fight, although i do carry them on)
Not to mention her being a total hypocrite...
and that's just my mom, my dad is worse...
but this is boring so i'll shutup
