I am left handed, and the funny thing is when I was younger,
I use to write check marks backwards. Not anymore though.

My dad writes left-handed and he does his check marks the normal way... It just looks weird while he's doing it.

i'm right handed. my check mark is definitely normal. although since most people know what a normal check mark looks like, it seems pretty strange for anybody left or right handed to write it backwards. compared to left and right handed artists that can complete elaborate pieces of art, a normal check mark doesn't seem that complicated to accomplish.

I'm going to have to agree with memarcus, check marks are one of the easiest things to do o.o Well, despite the fact that sometimes forms don't exactly get filled out properly because of said check marks, haha xD

Anyway...i'm right-handed also, and i do check marks the normal way. Not backwards ;0

right handed.
I tend to not make check marks, because they turn out more like V's, but when I do write check marks I write them the normal way, not backwards.

I'm right handed and write "normal" check marks, but I know a friend who writes with his left hand and does them backwards.

you are correct. that is what that symbol is supposed to be. it essentially is a way to affirm or verify a statement, usually in agreement.

however, i don't see check marks next to errors. i usually see errors circled, underlined, or crossed out to indicate that an error has occurred. but i don't really see check marks used in that way after an error has occurred. but crosses (x) can be used in a positive, affirmative way too. ex. elections have x's next to them, so it can be viewed as both positive and negative, but check marks are just meant to be viewed as affirmative symbols.

I'm right handed for the most part. (I can draw with my left, I can't right though) I go from the tip of the cheek down and up.

Yep. I'm right-handed and write my checks normal. Though, there are few times when I write them backwards. I'm not sure why...

I didn't know they could be backwards.
I just draw an x.
But I am normal,
So I guess the standard normal way?
Yey for right handed people.

I'm Right handed and write normal check marks. But if it counts for anything, my mom is left handed and writes hers backwards.

Personally, I prefer the x over the check anyways. >>

I'm right handed. I think I write my check marks normal like in your post but I'm not even sure if I always write them in the same direction or not. o_o;;; But it seems like I usually write them normal.

I'm right handed, and my check marks are that of the normal way. I do occasionally write with my left hand but then everything seems to be backwards so yes when I use my left hand it is mirrored to the other side.
