Well I *should* but I feel like I don't have it very well developed and it hasn't been on my mind lately so I haven't been thinking up new scenes. So it would be more effort to plan out. =/ I'll probably end up doing it anyway though. I could length a short story I wrote a few months ago since it set up enough plot to make a story. But it's a little cliche and I dont know if I want to do 50k of it. *le sigh* I have several days in which to decide I guess.

Yeah. My wizards started as just a small story I had in my head.
But it kept expanding and my brain kept playing with it.
It was hard to tell myself not to just write it all out so I would have it for NaNo.

@mei - Yeah most of my stories start that way too. *laughs* Particularly my untitled sawyer/joseph one. Sawyer had a completely different story which I pulled hm out of, trashed, and then created Joseph. From there, it's been history.

@meilin - Some stories aren't really worth it in the end, are they? But sometimes there are aspects worth salvaging much like old junk.

OH! *lightbulb* I just remembered a story I vaguely developed once that might be a better one for 50k as 50k isn't actually all that long. Writing-wise it is, but plot wise it's probably shorter than most of my stories warrant.

@meilin - I think we all have. Of a selection of every artist or author's work, not everything can be awesome.

Well in my defense I use a lot of language and description. So my plot doesn't move as fast as a purely action-based plot might. >_>;; I've never written a single story, by myself, straight through, that was more than maybe 17k. But I've read enough and dabbled enough to estimate what I think might be 50k. orz

I fail at being very descriptive when I write. orz
I try to add in descriptions, but I never seem to get enough to really expand the length.
And I'm not very good at describing things. @[email protected];;;;;;

I think it might help that I'm a visual artist. I've trained myself to see the world in terms of the visual so it might translate over. *shrug* It's not to say one style is writing is better than the other. It just happens that's how I write. :P I'm sure your stories are fine.

Me translating visual to paper never seems to work. DX

With practice I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. ;P
