Pretty new items, though I haven't tried them on yet.
I went back to Grantham yesterday and got cough medicine and more cough drops. the burny kind. But they're not that bad. And the liquid medicine I got isn't as horrible tasting as dayquil/the nightime version who's name I can't spell.
It's turned pretty much into a cough and runny nose. Sneezign a bit to... The runny nose is probably not helping the cough.

Hugs! Yeah, they don't really exist in France. At least, not in the same way as in the UE.
I can't think. I'm too tired..... There was a "night out" for the foreign students at CIEREFE last night, so I didn't get back to my house until 11:00 and then had to do my homework because I'd been in classes until 5:30 and went to dinner with friends at 7:00.... I wasn't asleep until 12-12:30 and then got up this morning at 7:00.... I can't function with only 5 hours of sleep.....

Good news is this saturday I get to see Mark, and get to do many other things like paly munchkin cuthulu and magic and everything else. Then go to renn fair the next day :)

Ooo.... That'll be fun! I get to have a guided tour of Rennes Saturday. And then find a church Sunday morning. And tonight I'm going out again to celebrate a friend's brithday!! It won't be anything too heavy duty though because we have school tomorrow. Mostly just having a drink, hanging out and listening to some live music.
And I'm happy!! I changed levels, so I'm "officially" in the avanced level!!! No more absolute frustrated boredom!! Yay!!

That's good! The Ceili's tonight so I'm heading out in a little bit for that. In a pretty new dress that has basically no straps to speak of. I'll be wearing my black Harlaxton fuzzy jacket up to the manor, and I should get a sweater in London to go with it.

Yay!! Dragon has a closet floor!! That's good news!! And yay for seeing Mark!!
Guess what?? I'm going out again. But probably only for dinner this time. The French way, of course. Creperie at 8:15, which means we will probably be there until at least 9:15.
And I feel like sparking up a slightly political covo here. In my preprogramme class, we've been discussing the burqua. The French government is debating passing a law that would ban the use of a burqua in public. It all started when earlier this summer a young muslim convert tried to enter a municipal pool wearing a burkini and was turned away for reasons of hygene. She then decided that it wasn't because of hygene but because of her religion and went to the police and the press. Now she's saying that if she isn't allowed to wear the burkini she's going to leave France. So this lead to the debates of not just the burkini but also the burqua. So what do you guys think about all this? What should the French government do?
(Oh, and a burkini is a swimsuit that would cover your body from head to foot, but it leaves your face open).

why wowuld a more covering suit be an issue, that seems silly, personally it is a werid rule that doens't make sense in the idea that it covers more and ins't allowed.
Also less itme with Mark than I thought, he decided to not stay the nigth tonight, and then I have soroity stuff, so not sure if I am seeing him much at all till Renn fair.

Aww.... When's Renn Fair?
As for the banning, they aren't banning it because it covers more. A burqua is what Muslim women wear. They're banning it more for security reasons and because they feel it will help Muslims better assimilate to French culture. Of course, they haven't banned anything yet; it's still very much a discussion. A lot of French feel that the burqua is tied to extremist Muslims (and the acts of violence associated with it) as well as with the subserviance of women, and so they feel as though the burqua shouldn't be allowed in France. It's really a very complicated issue, and it's hard to explain the French point of view.

ah, makes sense to some extent, but I still think ti is weird to ban another culture dress. There is a limit though.
Renn fair is sunday!!Mark will probably have finished his chainmail shirt, it'll weigh about 40 lb so I can't wear it period. Also seeign Mark was nice, I missed a movie cause I wanted ot hang out, but good or bad, I finally got back to Mark's insecurities.

So confusing... *stares at the new thingy on Mene* the challenge button under the avi's...
London was a long weekened if I missed that being added. London was fun too, and hopefully after classes and work-study orientation I'll be able to upload some of the best shots to Facebook. I took about 10 of one of teh guards outside of Buckingham Palace, so only one or two of that will go up. And then I took over 100 at Hampton Court Palace, mostly of flowers (for my mom) and statues.
Lincoln trip is this weekend, as well as the end of the first pay period for Work study, which means I GET MONEY FOR EDINBURGH! Probably the first day of Edinburgh, so my last 8pounds must make me survive until the 14th. 6pounds, as two will be spent gettign a fun pop-out map of Edinburg from the Harlaxton boutique. Which are nice, and very easy to fold back up... Though I think Edinburg is less or something since I think I noticed it being smaller...
*pokes Dr. Green* Belvoir SHOULD NOT be pronounced "beaver". It hurts my ears!
Yes, still exhuasted from London, and I think I agrivated the ankle I sprained last December with all the walking, and my cold seems to be turning into a lovely sinus infection.

That's quite alright. There have been many days when I have felt the same way...
I'm currently on a school computer and there's an extra key right next to the shift as it is a European/UK keyboard and I keep hitting that key instead of shift. If I keep having to use these computers, I suppose I'll get used to it. In the meantime, it's a bit annoying and it's re-training my muscles.
*dances happily* So, I applied to be an RA here. I didn't get the position but when I randomly checked my mailbox today, I found a letter in it saying that I'm an alternate! It doesn't mean anything, as I doubt anyone will give up their postion but I'm an alternate!

There's someone from Ft. Collin's whose here. I can't remember the gender, but I think that I met them. I'm horrible with names, and it might even have been a guy. *pokes ded brain*
Came back after lunch today and curled up on my bed to read Henry IV......... That was at one. It's almost five now. I read for maybe half an hour, then an hour or so later, for another half hour. I just want to curl back up in bed and sleep some more.
I especially am wary of tonight's dinner. "Mexican Night" was all they had on the board. but the Chicken-something that I had for lunch (I think it was leftovers from Monday night's dinner, since today's lunch was supposed to be "cheese burgers" but the chicken thing randomly showed up as an extra option...) was good. Rice was a bit better this time around. The last time it was bit over cooked for my liking.

I've been busy. I should be doing more studying but I haven't.
Watching Braveheart after Dr.Green's lecture on the Three Edwards is soooooo much fun. I don't think I've laughed that much in quite a while.

Dr. Green. One of the professor's here. We had a lecture last Wednesday on King Edward the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. (Of England).
Dr. Green is good looking. As is my professor Dr. Taylor. Heck, the dean's good looking too. Makes class a bit more difficult, I'd say.

Oh, I have two old professors as well. It's just hot=british=no concentration whatsoever. I personally like Professor taylor the best. Unfortunetly, there's 81 girls here.
Ah well. It's best to admire from a distance anyway as I'll only be here until December. I need to get some pictures of them though, for sneaky purposes.
