I usually don't read manuals, but sometimes I do when I can't figure something out, or I have a new video game. Or when I'm driving with my mom and a strange symbol illuminates. And I'll probably have to read a few of the Tim Horton's manuals. Blargh.

What about you guys?
Do you always read manuals?
Did you read your car's manual? (if you have a car)
Do you read the little guides for video games? (the Okami guide is really interesting)
Have you read any of the For Dummies books?
Do you like strawberries?

I don't often read them. Unless in dire emergancey, like i get stuck.
I don't have a car, so, i can't say i've read one's manual.
I like reading game manuals too. Sometimes i'll ask for the manual to look at before i have the game, if it's a presant.
No, i've never read any of the Dummies guides, and yes, i do like strawberries.

I love them! I read them quite a bit.

Reading manuals is the smart and efficient thing to do though ;x

No one in my family reads manuals to stuff except me.
Then, they get mad if I find the solution to their problem by reading a manual >_>;;

I haven't read any of the For Dummies books, but I want to.

I ALWAYS read manuals. It saves me a lot of headaches later, whether it is to set up a VCR or how to play a computer game. Much better to know what you are doing than going blindly and possibly make irreversible mistakes. In other words, "better safe than sorry" :)

I hate manuals. My grandpa always has had me set watches, set up electronics, do networking stuff, etc. for him since I was young and I never read the manuals I just did it. They just don't do anything for me and just confuse me more.
However I have had to use them when learning to set cruise control in new cars/symbols since I'm not much of a car person.

I almost always read manuals, unless it's for something that I already know how to use or set up.

I don't have a car, so I don't read car manuals... Nor do I read guides for videogames...Well, I read them 20% of the time when help is needed with games... Really tough ones that bug me..-_-

Yes, I have. It was "How to draw anime for dummies" or something like that. It didn't help though. It was like just a bunch of information that didn't really help me draw. Seems only one book has ever helped me draw anime or manga, and that was by someone who is American ^^.

And yes, I do like strawberries. Everyone in my family does. It's kind of annoying if you eat one, and then the next day you find that they've eaten the rest -_-

I only read the manuals when I need to figure something out or when something is wrong. If it isn't something that interests me, I can't get into reading so, I only read it if I have to.

Haha, that reminds me of this one video game I had. If you made one mistake, you'd have to restart because it would mess up the entire game. I made the same mistake twice, even with a walk-through/guide. I traded it for a different game shortly after that.

I always read manuals, no matter what they're written for. Aside from the "better safe than sorry" thing, It saves me from tearing off my hair in frustration.

Some strawberries I have had were really gross.
So strawberries are on my neutral list.
Cause some are good and some are bad.

And manuals are a pain.
I usually only read them if I really have to and everything I do goes wrong.
And video game manuals I read.
Because without them,
I am utterly lost.
XDDD

I hardly ever read manuals, even if I don't know what I'm doing.
I like to figure stuff out on my own, I guess. :: is
stubborn? :: I only read my car manual when my headlight
wouldn't come up [they're the kind that open up]. I never
read video game guides, I just figure out everything while
playing, unless there's a ton of buttons to figure out.
I'll read the manual if I get bored one day. xD And yes,
I've read a few "For Dummies" books. :]

I don't read manuals.
Unless I'm really confused about whatever I'm doing.
I usually don't have to read video game manuals.
Video games are pretty self explanatory to me.

I don't use manuals, even if I'm hopelessly lost at what I'm doing. Its usually after something's exploded that I finally give in and swallow my pride. xD

I'm currently reading PHP and MySQL book.

And no, I don't read car manuals. It's more fun to find out things for yourself. :P

  • I tend to read manuals and such. Also tell other people to do it. When my friends don't read them and ask me if I know something, I tend to reply with "RTFM" (read the fucking manual), if for nothing else, for the amusement factor. So I basically do since otherwise I would never know a large amount of the little things on a lot of things.

As for the dummies guide things, i've looked through a few and decided that they could be useful. Havn't had to use one for myself yet though since the regular manuals usually are good enough for me. :]

Do you always read manuals?

haha, nope! I almost never read manuals...I don't know I think I'm more of a trial and error person. Or hands on, if you will...

Did you read your car's manual? (if you have a car)

Nope. But I did have to read it one time because I had done something strange and my boyfriend and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Apparently my car had went into 'lock' mode because like I said, I did something strange and my car 'thought' someone was trying to steal it. So I had to read the manual to figure out how to 'un-lock' it.

Do you read the little guides for video games? (the Okami guide is really interesting)

Nah I don't do that either, like I said I'm more of a try it, and then see what happens person.

Have you read any of the For Dummies books?

I work at a library, so I've seen MANY of these books, but I've never actually opened one up and read it...well...I shelved the 'sex' one and I MAY have opened that one for a minute...or two haha, but I've never actually read them in detail.

Do you like strawberries?

AW YEAH!! They rock...mmm, now I'm hungry...

I hardly ever read the manuals, unless something messes up and I need to find out how to fix it. I've read bits and pieces of my boyfriend's car manual, but that's because I got bored while he was waiting for pizza once. xD I usually read the guides for games because most have bios for the characters in the games and information on the weapons and stuff. It's interesting to me. I haven't read any of the Dummies book sand I love strawberries. <3

Do you always read manuals? Almost never
Did you read your car's manual? (if you have a car)I'm pretty sure most of mine is trying to fall out so I'm kinda scared to try.
Do you read the little guides for video games? (the Okami guide is really interesting)Most of the time I look through them but don't really read them unless I get in a really big bind or something just sounds really interesting as i skim.
Have you read any of the For Dummies books? Haven't read any but I do own one. I just haven't had the time to actually look through it.
Do you like strawberries? Oh yes I loves them. They're sooo good.
