I think its a pretty good avatar. Its nice in a theme sense. Not so much for a matching avi.

Another way of looking at it is like a halfatar, which in my opinion would make it incredible. If you look at it in this sense, you could say making the avatar use the background to half-itize the avatar, its creative, while matching the avi itself and then half-itizing it by leaving the white for the top and leaving it out of the bottom. What I would change about it in this case, add something to the avatar itself in white at the bottom, but use very little white on the bottom. Since you have a lot of black there and little on the top. It would work and would work well.

The pieces that don't match color wise are the background, which has a blueish gray color and the brown of the ground. Not saying its bad, but colorwise, its off.
