The biggest hypocritical thing ever happened to me at work, happened the other day. I was talking to a co-worker about being bi-sexual (actually it was sparked by me telling him...for him to work in my department (the print center) he had to become a transvestite. The reasoning behind this was because the print center manager is a lesbian, one of my male co-workers in the department is gay, I am bi-sexual and the other associate (male) is straight. We needed to complete the circle. Well we were joking around about how my department needed a transvestite because the manager is a lesbian, we have a gay boy there, I'm bi and the other associate is straight. And this stupid Cashier, who has a very nasty disposition and attitude (who claims that whenever a white person complains about her attitude...they are only complaining because she is black...) jumps in telling me how My manager and I have to stay away from her because homosexuality is gross and wrong and a disease on earth and she doesn't roll that way and anyone who does is disgusting and fowl... when I asked her... What about Will (she has a crush on him... and is blatantly obvious about it at work and outside of work(the gay boy)) she said well he's ok...He's cute. I Was so Furious I had to walk away to keep from hitting her.

Sometimes... I really hate people... then again I work Retail. Have any of you delt with something equally as wrong as this? Do you deal with Hiprocracy often?

Ugh, that must be terrible. I don't understand some people. They are so biased by the fact they don't wish to be wrong from what they just said that they need to just believe in one thing that is obviously unjust to the other side. I'm pretty open myself and I have 3 homosexual friends and I hate it when I heard people talking bad about them =/ Honestly.

Most of my friends are gay/lesbian or otherwise bi-sexual so I am highly protective of them. It bothers me this scenerio for the soul fact, I have been out about being bi for over 8 years now and this is the first time I have EVER been given any form of harassment/hatred/other about it.

I don't think I ever used to think badly of bisexual or homosexuals. I've grown up with an eye for equality so it upsets me when people really make cheesy hypocritical points like that. =/

See I could deal with the hipocracy normally but the fact that it was only ok...because he is cute. Is what made me mad. Then the next day a manager comes up to me and will and tells us we need to apologize to her!

So she doesn't freak out equally over gay males as she does gay females? Hmm. She may be one of those people who thinks that every lesbian wants to hit on every girl they see. P: Or, she might just be a hypocrite-- either way, she has some things to work out.

We had to apologize to her...for A) Me being supposedly offensive to her and B) for the next day.. Will telling her he was gay and doesn't like her hugging on him like she does every day.

Every day when we all work together she snaps her fingers and says where is my hug when he walks by her. Will being the ungodly nice person he is has always been friendly towards her and didnt like telling her off but enough had become enough.

She jumps into conversations, hugs all over him and neglects HER front end job to go clean our department, just so that she can be around him. Not to mention gets highly upset when he ignores her or doesn't pay her attention. Now Will is one of my best friends, I'm like a second "mommy" to him and we hang out and hug on each other all the time. She has actually told him to his face, she doesn't like me and that he shouldn't hug me because I'm a Bi**h.

That really sucks. I'm a lesbian, and because of that, some girls will think I'll hit on them for no stupid reason or be uncomfortable around me. They have no reason to since I have a girlfriend but yeah...

If I were you, I would report her to her boss or something. I'm sure they have tapes of what goes on inside wherever that is.

Yeah? I hate when people think that since I'm Bi-sexual I am either A) A whore B) going to give them a disease or C)Selfish and Inconsiderate. It's so sad how homosexuality is viewed in society when (and sadly yes it has become one -..-) Bi-sexuality has become a growing trend among Students.

The interesting thing is, concerning this woman, that she will play the "race card" over and over, but shows MUCH more prejudice in HER attitudes and ideas concerning the gay community.

Oh I totally understand where you are coming
from as I am bi as well. I have dealt with this
kind of things many a times before and have luckily
have just learnt how to ignore poeple like that. Some
times it does get to me, not only because they are so
closed minded but because they think they always have
to be right about their opinions and won't budge a
muscle on it. So all is be happy with who you are,
treat your friends and family with respect and just
treat others how you would like to be treated in return
as I have found there is no real way of making these
type of people listen to any other sort of reasoning.

The company Christmas Dinner is this Sunday. We're allowed to bring a guest. Will and I have decided, along with my manager, that we're all bringing our Significant Others and am going to have the 'gay' table. Which will be funny as all the 'cool' people we work with are really good friends of my manager and I.

The gay table? @[email protected] That's stupid... Did you get to choose where you sit, or did they?

Oh no We do. Our table consists of all the gay people and there SO's, three managers and the entire tech department XD We're Homonerds on parade. Though Oddly enough,The girl in question...is sitting at a table with all the ethnic/black kids who arnt' at my table. o.-

Weird.... That is certainly look odd to anyone who sees it..

I think its just a fun idea, if people want to sit with likeminded people then why not group them together like they do at weddings?

I can't wait but then again I know.. something... will explode XD I mean, our table is the table of just... Oh lord.

Actually, Everything but the person, waiter and building. We're those kids who go out and dare each other to drink those drinks made of random food/liquids on tabled and challenge each other to chug syrup or hot sauce

I'd say to find out what your company's policy on harassment is. In most respectable workplaces, that's a reportable offense. I had a similar issue just the other day...and am debating whether or not to report my coworker, myself.

And her "ITZ BCUZ IM BLACK, IZNT IT!?1/1/!?1/1" crap...wait until after work to say something about her, and when she says that, answer her as bluntly as she did you - "No, it's because you're a racist, homophobic asshole who uses her own race as an excuse for everything. Screw you."

At least that's my suggestion. ^^;
