Me wishes so too! Actually, i wish i had anywhere that i could take the kids to escape for the day, without feeling 'away from home' if you know what i mean!

Yapp when my kids where little ( the first batch) we use to go to a place up in Wisconsin.
we could rent cabins. it was right by the lake OMG I loved it. but they sold the place and they torn down all the cabins and made a la dee dah resort:(
we use to go pick raspberry, strawberry's. and go fishing, go hiking on and on.

Oh wow that sounds so beautiful! We have a friend with a batch (holiday home) Over the other side of the south island, a nice 5 hour drive. he says we can borrow it for free, so maybe hubby can get some time off work for our very first family holiday!

Oh that would be wonderful. it is always good to escape home every know and then.
Of course I have been on vacations that I needed a vacation to recuperate from hahaha
Thats when we use to go a couple of weeks camping around Wisconsin.
we actually slept in tents. I think I was tired from all the packing and unpacking lol
Also the driving,the further up north you go the higher the altitude. I was sleepy then.

My parents were crazy - they took me tent camping when my sister was like 8 weeks old! I'd never be able to do that with my boys! lol But honestly, we havent had a night away since we had my first baby, almost two years ago now,a nd that's a long time to be stuck at home!
