I just watched Rambo. The most recent one, that is. One of the most ridiculously violent movies I've seen, and with that in mind, I'm ready to finally get up off my arse and watch the Kill Bill movies ^^

*jumps into thread*

@Patrekur Leo, I've never seen any of the Rambo films (personally I really don't get the hype about them), and I haven't seen Kill Bill. Though I've really wanted to.

If I ever see a Rambo film, it'll only be to laugh at it, I think. I'm not much for those kinds of films. But Kill bill is just.. art. And very funny. And awesome. Yum. I encourage you to see it soon. :D

I've seen bits of the Bill series. I think having David Carradine in the movie is one of the coolest casting decisions ever ^^

Work has been swell. I'm happy to announce that if there are no more sick people departures this Saturday, I finally have a shift whereby I can leave before eleven at night!

But yeah, lotta sick people right now. Dropping like flies! Adriana was in the hospital for something the other day, and Peter got all barfy during his shift so we sent him home. Poor Mike, who'd already been working a shift in the other Dominick's, had to come and cover our asses. Yay Mike!

Wow, that's rough!! I'm surprised I haven't gotten sick yet this winter. I feel like a ticking time bomb because practically everyone I know is sick right now. Alex is suffering from something that sounds like pneumonia in Michigain, and I feel so helpless here because I can't bring him over some chicken soup :( School is rough. After one full week of classes, I know there's no way I would have been able to work this semester! I really miss you guys though. I hope to come in and visit soon.

*pokes head into thread* I have one thing to say - yay for secondary accounts! :D

Dominick's, huh? The Safeway branch? Amusing - I work at Vons. Same parent company, different name. :D Small world? o_o

Sadly, I'm one of the "sick" people there at the moment. Or rather, I can't work due to workers' comp issues. I broke my freaking hand at work over three months ago. Damn thing still hurts. >.<; And now they're not letting me work because of some kind of stupid time limit. >(

Also interesting to see that I'm not the only one on Mene who always gets the late shift with that company. XD Seriously, I was working 5:00-10:00 pm almost every day for a while there. And the store where I work closes at 10:00 - they would probably keep me later if they closed later. XD;

Yarr. I've also been having a quiet day at home. Put on fresh pyjamas after my shower this morning and have only been wearing those and a big sweater all day, reading and spending time online. And just now I finished playing the piano and it feels so niiiiice. Mmmm.

Wondering whether I should go read now, watch Rent or play computer games. I'm in the mood for chatting but there aren't too many people online and so I'd rather do something else.

Haha!
I love days where I stay in my pj's.
I didn't today, but I do that quite a bit on weekends.

Oooh.
What are you reading?

Mmm, me too. So nice. And I have comfy pyjama pants. <3

At the moment I'm reading.. well, I'm reading quite a few books as usual, but if I were going to read before, I would've gone on with The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving. Reading it for my American literature course. I actually should've finished it a couple of weeks ago, but I am a super-procrastinator, so I hadn't finished it yet. I'd finished his short story Rip van Winkle though, that was a lovely story. He spends a lot of time on descriptions of places and nature and stuff like that though, which I'm not too keen on. :/
But yeah, I decided on watching Rent. I actually ended up writing each choice on a small piece of paper and then picking a random one, because I couldn't decide. I'm awful at making decisions.

Wow.
I thought that I was indecisive.
I don't usually have trouble with choosing things to do for fun though.
hehe

I actually live in upstate New York near the Rip Van Winkle bridge and the area that that story was based on.
xD

@ç¿” - Vons eh? Yeah I've heard of that chain before. My shift is typically 3:30 or 4:00 to 10:15pm, although as I work in the deli, it frequently takes significantly longer than that to close. ><

At the very least we still get paid for the extra time :P

And oops. You HAVE the meaning written down for that character. I feel dumb now :P

Wasn't Shou one of the three kingdoms in ancient China?

Ganamie, tell him to feel better. Threaten him with huggles.

Vons guy, small world indeed. They cutting hours badly on your end, too? What department are you?

Beri-chan, how was driving home last night for you?

Nescia, ooh, awesome.
I read The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and it was.. well, let's just say I thought the movie was phenominally better. :B The story, although it's only 20 pages (in super small lettering), was long and blah. The ghost part didn't even start until right at the very end. It had some really funny parts though, and Ichabod Crane was super-dorky and adorable. Still, blah.

Anyone on?
