Yeah. I just feel like a bad person if I like it because of all that. xD

But I like it because the movie is just simply amazing. I don't care if it's all "OMG. SKELETONS. SO HARDCORE." I just think it's a beautiful and haunting movie. :3 It's so cute, too.

I don't really like secret santa, I hate shopping for someone I don't really know. I usually get gift cards and candy for the person.

The gifts I recive are less then satisfactory I don't know why people give me stuffed things or useless trinkets...-_-

I like secret santas. <3

I've gotten my friend this year, and since I knew her . . . I got her a lot of what I knew she'd like. haha. Mainly some gaia cash cards and a scarf and beanie . . . haha. <3

she was happy. <3

My secret santa got me . . . a rainbow/black scarf and a book. <3 It was okay this year~<3 a lot of confusion upon setting it up though. Haha.

I HATE Secret Santa stuff with people I'm not familiar with. Seriously, I hatehatehate it. D<

I'm one of those people that spend ages Christmas shopping, looking for the right present. The same goes with my Secret Santa gifts. I ask around. I get to know my Secret Santa better. I always make sure I spend over the minimum.

And I always have some bozo who doesn't spend time on their Christmas gifts have me. It's NOT fair!

Seriously, last year, I spent ages finding the perfect Secret Santa present. It turned out to be this cute pink wristwatch that she really liked!

... And then the person who had me for Secret Santa gave me something that looked like it came from the Dollar Tree. It was chocolate in a cup. There were supposed to be six pieces. There were only five.

And when I had a piece of the chocolate, it was ALL MELTED AND DISGUSTING.

I hate her now. D< Dumb b-tch. She could've made a better attempt with her stupid present that SHOWED MORE THOUGHTFULNESS. Seriously.

I enjoy -some- secret Santa games. Like the ones at school...? No, I don't like those, because you actually know who you're giving the item to, and later they find out... but places on the internet (some like this site) that allow you to send things without ever knowing who that person was...? Well, those make me happy, because then you can never be disappointed in one specific person.

I did my very first one as an art exchange here. It was fun. xD A little stressful since I had to handle the organization, but a nice experience nevertheless!

Secret Santas are ok, but hard if you don't know the person rally good and don't know what they like.

I did one this year with my family and my dad's relatives. There was a limit of $20.00. It wasn't that hard to buy for the person because by email we told everyone what we liked. So I kenw what to get the person.

This year we made played a similar game of a secret santa. Haha. Wasn't that pleasant. The last day of chool hardly anyone came so the person that I had to present my gift didn't come at all.
For the same reason I got nothing as well.

I always like doing the secret Santa, because I have a knack for getting really good CHEAP items for the person I draw the name of.
And we have been doing secret santa for SO damned long that people have learned to give good gifts, knowing that I give good gifts back.

I gave my boss a box of Truffles, and a huge Toblerone for the holidays, and I gave one of my co-workers an iPod cover, with a Disturbed graphic on it. He loves the band, so it was personal and nice at the same time. I also got him a new pair of headphones, because he lost his other pair and was having to walk around with these ugly old huge ones form like, 89' xD

nah, we did that in school when I was 7-12 years old, and I haven't really enjoyed christmas in years so..
I do like to buy gifts for my loved one and my family, but I don't want to spend my money on somebody I barely know.

  • Well among friends that know each other well yeah. But not for complete strangers. o_O Cause I usually don't know what to GIVE them and then I don't know if they'll really enjoy it when I do give it to them. ><

I love Secret Santa. It's just the mystery, and the excitement of giving and getting something. x3

I don't care that my present may be bad, I'm just thankful someone went through the trouble of getting it for me. x3

I've gotten makeup before [EWWWWWWWWW] and a pair of toe socks. <33333

I don't like secret santa gifts. I like getting gifts for people that I know. It's easier for me to pick out a gift and usually they are happier with it.

I did something like that once. We all had to get gifts, put them in a pile, then we'd go and grab something random that wasn't the gift we brought. It was a school thing and I'll never do it again. There was supposed to be a money limit and I was the only one who followed that money limit. I felt really bad because I got something expensive, that I didn't even really like, while someone else ended up with my regular gift that they probably didn't like. It's a waste of money, honestly. You don't know what to get, because you don't know who it's for, so while something might be great for one person, it won't for all the others. So almost everyone ends up with something they don't want. It's horrible.

In the past I've done lots of Secret santa exchanges in various group, and for the most part it's been a positive experience :) Lately I just haven't had the time or money to participate, unfortunately :( Maybe next year :D

I always try to give my best, choose a nice present wrap it nicely and even do small things like a card etc..and then I get the worst of the things sigh careless presents etc....It is so much of a bummer...I feel like so sad and like an idiot for having spent both time and money on my present but I really couldnt do other thing cause its just who I am...

I don't really like secret santa. To me being able to know who I'm giving a gift to and where my gift is coming from makes me much more happy then just random gifts. But I'm just strange that way. lol

The only time I think a secret santa could work is if the person actually knows you and knows what you like. Other than that, its like a grab bag, you get something not all that satisfactory to you.

I don`t really enjoy secret santa. I prefer to have people know what I got them other than it be a mystery. I know that seems kinda selfish, but eh, that`s just me.I also like to know who got me what... if I got a great gift and didn`t know who to thank, I`d be really annoyed.

Secret Santa make things easier on me ^^: It means I really don't have to buy gifts for everyone >.>; I'm not made of money and I get annoyed that my other big group of friends refuse to participate in one...

I've done one with my brothers and sisters-in-law for the past 2 years as well as with my circle of high school friends... Everyone else gets something cheap (this year, I gave out chocolate).

With the siblings, we each have Christmas lists and people usually pick and choose something to buy from there... With my friends, it's whatever... Which reminds me, I still have to get the rest of my secret santa's gift O.o;

I've never had to do one in a class or anything... Though I have friends who did one where you had to buy socks for a person and write a poem about them... Then the people in the class had to figure out who it was xD It was interesting to hear the stories.

Edit: Enfant- I dunno what kind of Secret Santa you participate in but generally, everyone tells everyone else who they had during the exchanging of gifts... at least, that is how I've always known it to go >.>
