Okay. Can you post one more time in the role play before I post again. There is already a lot in my last post. Please? :D

I could, but it is really long and I have added more already. It is just easier if you post. My post is kind of intimidating to read. Plus I think the others would be happier with me if I post more before they get on. They will be less frustrated with me for being gone for so long.

Thanks. I enjoyed your reply in that you mentioned how annoying he can be. It will be interesting to see him try to win over the Waitress at the Rouge. Right now she would probably throw his head through a table, that is if Roy did not beat her to it.

Anyway, I am working on my post in the role play. Who do you want to be Ereal's new partner? Some random person, or one of the twins? Do you and Nariko have something planned where that would be good?

Thanks.

Hmmm. That is a good question. Brian would seperate the Twins since they're always causing trouble. But, he would have to seperate everyone. Not just the twins and Ereal and Taman.

He is seperating everyone. His is making them all move two partners to the right, but who do you want Ereal's partner to be. Some random person Brian knows wont cause Ereal trouble, or one of the twins?

One of the twins would be a tad like Taman . . . have Taman and one of the twins get together and Ereal with someone else, or the other twin. I don't really care.

Okay. I posted. Are you going to respond, or should I edit it to have the Waitress talking to Clorissa. On second thought I think I want to the Waitress to be talking to Roy. Now I need to talk to Nariko. Oh well. So much for posting again.

I think it is funny that everyone has come up with new ways to spell 'lol' It is an abbriviation that is now being spelt wrong. And in multiple ways. I think that is pretty amusing.

So what are you thinking of doing about the different St. Patrics day items?

'loll' is an actuall word. ^-^

Hmm. I'm going to get 700 gold, then i'm going to get another 700 for the hats. I really want the items. I just need another 1000+ gold for them.

@ Alaunt: That makes sense.

@ Nariko: Are you on? I will only be here for a little while... Maybe you are posting in the role play!

Edit 1: Never mind. I have to go. Maybe I will be on later.

Edit 2: Okay. I am back again.

1. Lincoln Douglas: One person debates another person on a topic that changes once every two months. It is a lot like Public Forum, but with one person teams. Evidence is allowed, but no internet.
The six speeches are:
1. AC - 6 Minutes - Affirmative Constructive
2. 1N - 7 Minutes - First Negative Speech or Negative Constructive
3. 1AR - 4 Minutes - First Affirmative Rebuttal
4. 2N - 6 Minutes - Second Negative Speech or Negative Rebuttal
5. 2AR - 3 Minutes - Second Affirmative Rebuttal

Does that make sense?

Yes it does. Thank you. I was having such a hard time finding stuff. Are there any more specifics that differ between the different topics or anything like that?

2. Parlimentary: Two teams of two people each debate a topic that is announced 20 minutes before each round. No physical evidence is allowed during the round, but during the 20 min prep time, you can use people, dictionaries, magazines, newspapers, but no internet.
Speeches:
* Prime Minister's Constructive: 7 minutes
* Leader of the Opposition's Constructive: 8 minutes
* Member of Government: 8 minutes
* Member of the Opposition: 8 minutes
* Leader of the Opposition's Rebuttal: 4 minutes
* Prime Minister's Rebuttal: 5 minutes

There is no designated "Cross-fire" but opponents can stand up during a speech and, if acknowledged, ask a question.
Partners alternate speaking, so one partner speaks twice on each team, and the other partner only speaks once.

3. Public Forum: (My type :)) Two teams of two people each debate a topic that changes once every month. Evidence is allowed, but people rarely have more than 20 pieces of evidence. No internet, yes computers.

Team A: First Speaker: Constructive Speech 4 minutes
Team B: First Speaker: Constructive Speech 4 minutes
Crossfire (between first speakers) 3 minutes
Team A: Second Speaker: Rebuttal 4 minutes
Team B: Second Speaker: Rebuttal 4 minutes
Crossfire (between second speakers) 3 minutes
Team A: First Speaker: Summary 2 minutes
Team B: First Speaker: Summary 2 minutes
Grand Crossfire (All speakers) 3 minutes
Team A: Second Speaker: Final Focus/Last Shot 1 minute
Team B: Second Speaker: Final Focus/Last Shot 1 minute

Again, partners take turns speaking. (I hope you don't mind my double posting, but it is easier for me formatting-wise. You can post in between if it makes you feel better)

4. Congress: This one is strange. It is modeled after the U.S. Congress. About 20 debaters sit in a room, and there are usually around six topics, which change every month. One debater acts as Presiding Officer, and "runs" the debate. Everyone votes on the order that the topics will be debated. Then the round begins, and each debater raises his hand, and, if called on by the PO, gives a three minute argument. Then he stays in front of the room for one minute while all the rest of the debaters ask questions (by raising their hands and being called on. Of course, he answers each one as well as he can before calling on the next person.) The same person can speak on BOTH the Aff and Neg side of a topic if no one is raising their hands. In order to ensure that everyone gets an equal opportunity to speak, everyone has priority cards, and people who have spoken very little have highest priority. When everyone is bored with the topic, someone makes a motion to go to the next bill, and everyone votes. This goes on until all the bills have been exhausted, or time runs out. (Each session is about 2 hours.)
Wikipedia has a pretty decent explanation:

5. Policy: This one is LONG!!! Two teams of two debaters each debate a topic that changes once every year. They always bring storage boxes (yes plural, sometimes as many as nine) full of evidence that they can use during the debate. Computers are allowed, but internet is not.

The times and speech order are generally as follows:
Speech
Time (high school)
Time (college)
First Affirmative Constructive (1AC)
8 minutes
9 minutes
Cross-examination of First Affirmative by Second Negative
3 minutes
3 minutes
First Negative Constructive (1NC)
8 minutes
9 minutes
Cross-examination of First Negative by First Affirmative
3 minutes
3 minutes
Second Affirmative Constructive (2AC)
8 minutes
9 minutes
Cross-examination of Second Affirmative by First Negative
3 minutes
3 minutes
Second Negative Constructive (2NC)
8 minutes
9 minutes
Cross-examination of Second Negative by Second Affirmative
3 minutes
3 minutes
First Negative Rebuttal (1NR)
5 minutes
6 minutes
First Affirmative Rebuttal (1AR)
5 minutes
6 minutes
Second Negative Rebuttal (2NR)
5 minutes
6 minutes
Second Affirmative Rebuttal (2AR)
5 minutes
6 minutes

Wow that is a lot of information.

Just a general warning to Alaunt and Nariko: I know we all have this homework assignment, but please do not take this information, we cannot all turn in the same thing. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure those are the only five debate topics that the NFL uses. I edited almost all of them, so make sure you get the most recent versions. (I just added stuff like "Evidence is allowed but teams can't use the internet during a round")

Off topic: Is there going to be an Easter Egg hunt on Menwesha?

I do not know of an Easter egg hunt, but that sounds like fun. I think they are going to have some items in the store. I am pretty sure that they will do something, I am just not sure what.

Thank you so much for all of that information again.

Just some information to make you happy, if you have not already noticed, I have posted in the role play. Have fun responding!

Edit 1: I actually have to go shower now before it gets too late. I might be back on later though. Thanks again!
