Is anyone going this year?
Did you go last year, if you did, what did you find? any really good deals at all or what.
I want to go Boxing day shopping so bad but I don't know if I can come up with any money so I might not.
It would be cool to go find some sweet deals though :D
I think last year we bought one of our computers on boxing day, it was some really good deal or something.

What is Boxing Day? =o
A few of my friends told me Happy Boxing Day, but I am clueless. @[email protected]
All I can think of is actual boxing between two people. Lawl

I'm going out to the mall today to pick up a memory card for my PSP, because the 1gig ones are only twenty dollars at my boyfriend's work. Plus I get his discount because his managers are awesome like that. 8D I also am going to meet up with him anyways today cause it's my last day off this week that he's going to be getting off work early for. So I gotta be out at the mall before six today, haha. But if it weren't for him, I wouldn't go out there. People are crazy, and I work out at the mall too (at a Borders), so I try staying away from there as much as I can during the holidays because I don't want to be out there more than I have to be, since I have to work there during the holidays too. I'd rather stay far, far away if I have the chance. >.>

I went! Although here, we don't really call it Boxing Day. Still, it was very nice. The weather was terrible so I had the (mainly outdoors) mall all to myself. I got a new pair of shoes, some candleholders, two pairs of stockings, two headbands, and a pair of magnetic earrings. None of the deals were terribly great, or else I would have gotten more.

Shopping when nobody else wants to go can be awesome. It was great, except for the somewhat sarcastic lady at the candle store who clearly wasn't fond of such torrential rains.

Well, Boxing day is the day after Christmas, when all of the stores have really good deals to get rid of all of the years left over stock so they can bring in all the new stuff.
I think it's only celebrated in Canada, it's an actual stat holiday for us too XD

@Corrie - Boxing Day originated during Victorian times, I think, because it was the day you'd box up the leftovers and give them to the servants. Or at least that's what my mom told me.

It's completely different from Black Friday, believe me. I love to go bargain hunting on Dec. 26, if for no other reason than the fact that, at least, the stores open at their usual hours! No getting up ridiculously early (or staying up all night) just to get a bargain.

Yes, Boxing day is when you gave presents to your servents or traded spaces with them. For a day you served them! It's celebrated in England and Canada!

  • I want to go shopping! Unfortunately my drivers license is at my cousin's house and like, her ass ain't gonna go and bring it here coz we hate each other. I DON'T know how I happened to leave my purse at her place...I don't remember bringing it into her apartment either -- it must've been my mom or my aunt (cousin's mom). But yeah I CAN'T GO SHOPPING!! IT SUUUUUUCKS! AND I WANNA GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE!

I don't love boxing day XD there are so much people in the shops everywhere on that day, I think it's actually scary.
I prefer shopping when there's no one. You can take your time and ask more question~

Yeah, I think later tonight if it slows down a bit I will try to go see if I can get some goodies, but until then I am going to sit here and drink coffee.

Only recently I have heard of boxing day. I don't care to really go out today, since the prices may not even be that good. 75%, sure, but I'm sure things aren't that much on sale.

I'm fine at home playing my video games and listening to music and being on Menewsha.

I went today and was in the mall for... six hours. Dx Omg, I couldn't find anything I like! Out of all the things that were not on sale were mangas! Dammit! Dx

I never went anywhere on boxing day because my mom was all, "Too crowded, too lazy."

Isn't this a Canadian Holiday? (just wondering.)
I heard it's like Black Friday for us Americans.

Today, I went shopping on Boxing day.
I didn't get exactly what I wanted from my initial list, but as I started shopping, my list grew..
My original list:
Guitar Hero bundle or the Singstar bundle (ended up just trying to look for the GH one, but failed to get it), a sweater from Stitches(it wasn't on sale..), and a gangster hat (didn't have the one I wanted).
I added more:
Nina perfume (it was 20% off, but my mom didn't like the idea of my wearing perfume at my age -___-), Volcom sweater (originally, $80, but the sale was to take 10 bucks off..), DC shoes (I saw them on some girl's feet, and fell in like with them >_<, but I didn't go looking for them), more shirts, more sweaters, cellphone, and a headset.

The only thing I managed to get was the shirts and the sweaters.. *__*
There was also this cute "glamour" shirt that I wanted that was $20.. in other words, not on sale.
OH, and also, more Aeropostale stuff, but mainly sweat pants from their name.

Usually...I'm working on those days. ><; My store has some pretty awesome deals right now *Barnes and Noble* but my check doesn't come till Friday and I've spent all my Christmas money on other people so I have to wait. XD Too bad I can't put holds on stuff and have the deal still be effective but oh well. Usually I hate the big shopping days because people are too nuckin futz and it makes me want to hit them...but I don't because they need to buy stuff and hopefully go away. XD Anyways usually I'm the worker, not customer but if I was I'd stay smart and stay indoors. XD
