Alright, I searched down the pages for a topic similar to this and didn't see it. But if I did miss it I'm really sorry and don't mind this thread being locked. As for what this thread was about I had recently posted in the "favorite Disney Princesses" thread and wondered...do we have a Disney/Villain topic? So I started it. XD

Got a villain you love to hate? That certain someone you can't help but grin whenever they come on screen and makes you laugh? Well post your favorites here! It can be Disney, comic, animated, whatever!

To start off I'll say my favorite villain of all time is the Joker from Batman the animated series. He's voiced by Mark Hamil, famously known as Luke Skywalker! I had no idea they were one in the same but I have ALWAYS loved his voice and crazidelic laugh. >w< When I did learned they were the same person I flipped out and had a better like for Mark. As for Disney I gotta say my favorite villain is Captain Hook. Besides being a pirate he's hilarious and it's near impossible for me to hate him. He's wonderful as the animated character and being played by Dustin Hoffman. So, who's your favorite?

Last night I had a dream that I caught the Joker! Not with the help of Batman, no, with the Green Berets!! XD

How about Team Rocket?

Oh yes! I love Team Rocket because even though they try to be bad they still have a consious which is odd for a "villain". XD They're really funny and the outfits they dress up in are ridiculous as well because if you pay attention usually they're cross dressing. >w< If I had favorite anime...ish villains it'd be Team Rocket. Can't go wrong with Jesse James. XD *oh the puns*

They may usually be cross dressing, but they do it well. I think they look really classy!
It gets kind of annoying though, in the new series they have a diabolical plot to steal pikachu in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE and it takes about half the time. It's a little frustrating.
I love the team rocket pokemon too. I love Mime Jr., Wobbuffet, Chimecho, etc.

Team Rocket makes me laugh all the time!

Have you seen the very first series when they only had Ekans, Koffing, and Meowth? That was their best years. XD Yes they were trying to catch pikachu but for the first time around it was fine with me. XD The newer series of Pokemon I'm not too interested in...in fact I refuse to watch because this show should've ended a long time ago but since it's a huge money maker they keep doing episodes. ><; All the original voice actors have gotten sick of it and moved on, even Ash doesn't have his voice anymore. I like the original Team Rocket but the new episodes don't count to me. *My favorite was when Jesse and James both dressed up as Japanese school girls. XD James was tan as hell, had blonde hair and orange lipstick. XD*

• Hm. Disney villain? I love Hades, from Hercules. He just makes me giggle. Oh, and like..that cat lady, from the Alladin animated series. She was kinda cool.

Sher Kahn was amazing too, I'm pretty sure that's how you spell his name. The actor who does his voice has been doing Disney voice overs forever. >w<

I adore Orochimaru. Every time I see him I about die laughing. They had to give him eyeshadow and the perviest tongue known to man.

You did warn fair and square and at some degree Naruto is a good show...well the manga is good, the show is crap. XD I stopped reading at book 6 but I have an idea of who you speak of. Kakashi will always be my favorite character for that series but he's not a bad guy so it dun count. XD

I agree. Captin Hook. He tries to be a bad guy, but he is just so darn funny.

Indeed! Ain't he the best? >w< Usually I'm not too savvy with Disney sequels but in Peter Pan 2 Return to Neverland I found this part funny.
As the Jolly Roger starts to get crushed by the octopus and Captain Hook is hanging on Peter says, "Don't worry Hook, a good captain *salutes* always goes down with his ship" And then Hook yelled, "I don't want to be a good captain!"
I found that hilarious...But I am stupid after all. XD

I've always found Judge Claude Frollo to be particularly dark and menacing, for a Disney villain. I think it's mainly because it's not that he has supernatural villain powers that makes him dangerous, but he represents an uncompromising and evil mindset, which minions follow. His blatant racist persecution of Gypsies and his blindness to his own descent into corruption and madness are themes that I'm not sure the younger viewers of Disney movies can truly appreciate, but here's a guy who's respectable, in a high position of authority, and you can really see that he believes his intentions are righteous, but at the same time, he's traded away his compassion for hatred, and is unable to truly show or experience love (I believe his fascination with Esmeralda is rather like that of a collector pining over an object of particular beauty), and his prejudice not only makes Quasimoto's life miserable, but leads him to make war against an entire race of people, eventually turning Paris against him in his mad quest to eliminate Esmeralda.

For disney, King Louie the Orangutan. Though he wasn't the main villain of the Jungle Book cartoon, he wasn't terribly friendly Mowgli. If I remember correctly, Baloo and Bageira had to come and rescue him. Any way, the whole "I wanna be a man, man cub." Song was flipping great.

As for favorite animated villain in general, it would have to be Krang from the original TMNT. The Shredder was cool and all, but how can you say no to a brain w/ face and arms from another dimension? I can't.

I also dig the Grand Inquisitor from the Venture Brothers. "Ignore Me!"

I absolutely adore Jafar from Aladdin and Scar from Lion King. I think Jafar is hot in some sort of twisted way.

Team Rocket, i think they are awesome. they make me laugh all the time.

and also Scar. he's kinda cool. apart from the time he killed Mufasa.
i also like his crazy son from the second one. i can't think of his name tho

Disney: Ursula. Hands down, full stop, el fin.

American cartoons: Oooh how about the entire villainous cast of Gargoyles? There literally isn't a villain there I don't love, though Demona is my favorite (with Thailog and Xanatos as close seconds.)

Anime/Manga: Oh lordie. The villains are what draw me to anime! My favorite would have to be Count D's father, from the Petshop of Horrors manga.

Oooh my favorite Disney villain is Hades! From Hercules, my most favorite Disney movie ever. He is so freaking awesome. It makes me happy to just think of him.

I almost forgot about him but I guess it's because he's one of my least favorite persons in the Disney movies. ><; Indeed you're right about his mindset and blindness was enough to make him a scary/evil enough villain that didn't need powers. He was pretty crazy for younger kids and I remember not liking him at all as a kid so awesome choice and explanation. I can't argue anything about that. >w<

*to Herkamyrh* Aw, I never saw Louie as a bad guy...just friendly and wanted to act like a man. XD And Hey! I remember Krang! That guy was nuckin futz but pretty creative, I just could neve remember his name.

YZMA was the first thing that came out of my mind when I saw this thread! 83 Gotta love her in the movie. As AMZY, she wasn't as memorable. She's still a favorite of mine.

But I like lots of other villains. Gotta think of the rest.. but this'll do for now. >_<
