I love making images. Should really get back into pixel dolls.

Well mainly I have been working on doll edits reather than creating them from scratch.

Here is an example of what I do;



This is basically what I would want to do with my avatar if gold wasn't an issue, and I could alter the layering and edit the colour of objects.

But, I don't think... Mene is very popular with edits now... :(

Yeah I know avie edits aren't the "thing" on Mene at the moment. So I shouldn't bother. But I want to bother. Will you lurk in my thread, if I set it up?

But edits is not really popular... I can't stop you for making it... but, yeah, the art forum is really not as flourish as Gaia's.

Daashi~ that is because it is TOO GOOD I cannot find which part you edit. It is not easy to blend in styles of other pixelist. So which part you edit? I only notice the lips. :lol:

The boots are not gold! Although they ended up a lot lighter than I was intending. The hairpin had a few pixels changed, but that was mainly because thought the the subtle shading of orange would have clashed.

That was mainly what I would want to wear if gold wasn't a factor and I could layer things as I like. The edit is wearing two stockings and two shirts/tops, you just can't do that, much to my dissappointment.

I know for sure about the lips, second guess the boots. But the others I didn't really notice! Now you mention it... did you change the dangling lines to lighter? and the 2 shirts...well, actually I don't really memorized Mene's items yet, so I really don't know about that, but YESH! it is a NICE combination.
If you didn't mention about the 2 shirts... I would definitely thought you could get it like that in the shops. XD

No the only part I altered on the hairpin was the spider.

Here is another pic. This one has more objects that have been altered.



The eyes, hair, and jacket have been recoloured and the pants had to be altered because they were a male item.

Weird... I don't remember the hairpin dangling to ahve such light colours... SPIDER! I half forgotten how the ghost pin look like... I am not a fan of them.

Yes and it wasn't that good, it looked flat, I just couldn't get the shading right.

Good luck! I think I might eventually become a hairpin collector too, they are the greatest!

Daashi, should start working hard on drawing up pixels from scratch. Then, it widens the market.

I have made a couple of props, for another dollmaker, completly from scratch. But they were a little more simplistic then most of the items avaible on this site. So I doubt that the items I do make will be all that popular.

But that is not a complete must to do the avatar edits in Mene style.
Maybe you should take a look around the pixel forum? And see what other shops that people have and see whether you can alter the types a bit.

Personally I would like it ASAP, but frankly I am still trying to get replies from the people who talked about writing articles.

I've only gotten one PM about it, and it was from someone who thought they had to audition.

Oh , ok. When I see Popcorn on I will PM her about me interveiwing her and stuff. I will get it ASAP. ANd I will go check and see if she is on right now.
