For some reason my friend thinks I'm this great outdoors person who is incredibly experienced in camping conditions. I'm not quite sure where she's getting this idea, I'm more of a nature hike type of person. While I have been really good about handling myself outdoors, I've only been camping a couple of times, and aside from that, my only other experience with spending time outdoors is doing really well in a wilderness course I took once. Despite her claims, I feel I'm pretty sheltered, although the times I have been camping it's been really fun.

So, how many of you have gone camping? Do you enjoy spending time outdoors, or would you rather stay inside?

I was camping *counts* about 4-5 times, I'm not sure. First campings was strange, because we (me and my parents) have really old tent which wasn't really good at saving from rain. It leaked! Fortunately a few years ago my parents baught new, bigger one and everything is okay right know.
And you know, it may be pretty scary when you are sleeping in tent and hear great storm around, see the shadows of trees and theirs branches moving because of strong wind. Though it depends on the place. When I was Italy (because I always - or almost alwas - was camping in Italy; it's cheaper than staying in appartament or hotel^^), over my beloved Lago di Garda there was storm every evening or night, so it wasn't hard to acuustom to them. But when you woke up there was amazing, beautiful weather!

I don't have anything against camping except for one thing.
Insects. I hate them, I'm absolutely afraid of them, I'm near to shout when I see some insects around me. And camping is definitely connected with insects, they are everywhere... *shivers* You can't run away from them! Arghh.

Except for this one thing, everything is okay and I like camping. Of course in interesting, beautiful area, where there is something nice (and interesting too) to do ^^

Three times with my school, it was pretty boring, I'm a more indoor-type person.

So, how many of you have gone camping?
I haven't gone camping, but I've gone hiking a couple of times. [More like once]. I don't think I'd want to go camping either though. Tents on dirt doesn't really appeal to me somehow~

Do you enjoy spending time outdoors, or would you rather stay inside?
I wouldn't mind going outdoors, if by outdoors you mean the city. I'm not really a nature girl, I'd rather be in stores and boutiques. The park is okay though. xPP But I guess I get it from my parents. They hate going out. xD

Ha. Something like that happened to me once.
My friend was moving from the city (And I don't mean "suburb", I mean THE CITY.) to the country. (And I don't mean down a gravel road off of a more major road to a quaint little place. No, I mean smack-dab in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by cow pastures and woods)
So anyway, my friend and her family were going to go down there and spend a few days there to get used to the place. But they weren't moved in or anything yet. Hell, the other residents weren't even fully moved out. So we slept on mattresses on the floor. XD But anyway, when my friend invited me to come with them she was like "I was going to invite my friend Dana, but I think she's too girly for this. You seem more out-doorsy" and I was like "....I do?"
I was fine at the time, but now, I might have disliked that whole trip. I'm VERY MUCH an indoor person now. I'm not the kind of person who can just in the grass. I'm too afraid of like, sitting on a bug or getting my pants dirty. XD Hell, I'll barely even sit in outdoor chairs. XD

I've never gone camping and am glad. I'm an indoors person with a huge fear of insects. Even being out in nature for a while makes me want to flee back to a building.

I love camping! It's my favorite thing to do ever! I love the hikes, unbearable conditions and the wild animals! It's all love outdoors!

I don't camp often, but only because theres not too many fantastic areas around where I live that I know of. I do like camping when its done in scenic areas. Places w/ bodies of water and/or mountains are particularly attractive.

I love camping, I used to go every weekend to this campground. I am just an outdoorsey type person and am hating the fact that we sold our camper and don't camp anymore. I'm just trying to find a friend that likes camping and go with them^^ Its so much fun!

The closest thing I've gotten to camping was when our grade went to Nature's Classroom in sixth grade. xD;;
It was also the first time I had real smores, but I was afraid of getting my marshmallow burnt, so mine wasn't really melted... xD;

OMG! I went to Nature's Classroom! It was so much fun! They don't do it any more in the school system my sister goes to *tear*

ive never been camping i was never a camping person because well i hate bugs and i hate the smell i just dont like it that much

I've never gone camping, but I don't necessary dislike the outdoors.

I never have done camping. (I am not an outsider person. I hate bugs too so I could never see myself doing it. I heard it is fun though!)
I guess I am into technology too much to actually participate in such an outdoor activity.

I've gone camping before, but it was super boring. I was so ready to come home afterwards. I didn't get cell service where we went, which totally sucked DX
