I found the same problem, even when I was with a soubi, people didn't seem to care they figure girl dressing as a conservative cat girl,it was annoying. i actually did much better with heartless so I just kept with heartless that year, which was hard, but more fun,cause when no one recognizes you, it is hard.

Welp... I bought all my fabric, so now can finally get a move on with my costume. Sadly, I end up getting lazy and starting last minute ALL THE TIME. But this year I have 2 costumes to make... so I'm trying to start earlier. v_v

Yeah. I like it right at my shoulders, and I told her that. She even put her hands on my shoulders, knowing that's exactly where I wanted it. But she cut it and inch or two above my shoulders.

I have to put my hair up for work, so this is gonna be interesting to figure out how to put it up.

Hehe, having people pushing me to stop procrastinating both in real life and online will probably make me get on it.

That's icky about the haircut. I have to get mine cut next week and I'm scared of what might happen.

Yeah. And my hair is in a ponytail for my con outfit, so I need my hair to be longer. I probably should have told her below my shoulders instead of at the shoulders. It'd probably be longer if I had said that.

In my nightmare thread I had the same problem. Said one thing and the lady did the exact opposite. At least mine was a nightmare. @[email protected];;

I hope your hair grows back in time. There's nothing like having to improvise (like trying to get a wig last minute as a back up).


@Sagitar: Shampoo is really easy to do. Talk in broken english, Greet peaople saying "Nihao".. lol, it was fun. My husband really liked the costume. The only problem was, as you can see, pretty large busted in the picture. The dress was made for someone with a lot less boobs. Depending on how I would move, the snaps would pop open at the top of the dress! talk about wardrobe malfuctions!

That suuuucks...the same thing happened to me when I flipped back and forth from other hairstylists and my main one.

They either cut it TOO short, TOO wrong, or BAD STYLING!

There's only ONE person I trust with cutting my hair so I can get my cosplay style right and that's my main hairstylist. Everyone else that does my hair SUCKS.

Anyway I've got less than two weeks to make my current cosplay. Hopefully I have enough time on it.

I was rearranging my room a couple of nights ago and I looked at a jacket that I bought for a certain reason though never wore. It was a jacket for my Aeris cosplay ^_^ I need to cut it up and hem it together but other than that I loooove it. No idea whether I'll make a new dress or not, though.

I'll be volunteering at Comic Con this year (San Diego) Look for the Asian (Filipino) girls as Giselle & Scarlett from POTC2 & 3 (we got their dresses). Dunno if you'll find me though. I'm REALLY short.

@Marguerite: Unfortunately I'm not going to Comic Con. I'm going to Sakura con in Seattle. Maybe I'll think about going to Comic Con next year. I know that my sister wants to go to a con. Though, I think that we'll be going to Kumori Con as her first con. Its five months after Sakura con, so hopefully I'll be able to save up enough for the both of us. (She needs a job thought^-^)

So quick question. I made keyblades and other items, how much is someone willing to pay for full size replica versions? just curious. I do cosplaying even when I am not going to a con, I have another con to go to that I want to borrow my friends outfit for, but I might be dragging my new keyblade instead. I have 4 now.

I second that!

I got to go to AX last year because my family went to CA and while Long Beach wasn't so bad, I wished it was in Anaheim. We're going back again this summer and I would go, if it was in Anaheim. L.A. is a little too far. We'll be in the Orange County area(grew up there).

And I wish I could go to Comic-Con. One day! The next big con for me is A-kon n.n . Next regular ol' con is in about a month. I should get on my costume >_>

I tend to only cosplay with my avatars..though I think my fiance would be very happy if I did cosplay as the lady in my sig, he's a big Star Wars fan XD

I don't know what my next con is going to me. Probably Anime Central again... I used to work it the last 3 years and then the guy who is conchair this year, royally screwed things up. Especially last year. There is so much drama and a huge lack of professionalism from a lot of the staff in my opinion.

But I may end up going to see friends I don't normally see. And maybe to cosplay if i can get something simple together in May. I know that's a long time, but I'm currently trying to lose like 40lbs... and don't know how much I'll weight come may.

Quicke questions though to maybe heat up discussiona bit:

1. What are some cosplays you've always wanted to do, but because the costume is super elaborate or would look better in a group, so you haven't done yet?

2. What are seom cosplays you've always wanted to do and just haven't gotten to yet, but plan to do?


My Answers:
1. I want to do Princess Daisy eventually. But only if my BFF Coal goes as Peachy. I'd love to do a whole con just as them with her and do not only their pretty dresses(really elaborate), but their tennis and other sport games outfits. I'd also like to Chiyo-chan if my BFF will go as Osaka. These costumes wouldn't be hard but it'd be cuter I think in a small group.

2. I want to do a girl from Harvest Moon. Either Maria(mary/Mari) or Popuri. Costumes would be relatively easy... Hardest part I think would be getting wigs too look right. I know the hair isn't hard, but finding the right pink wig with the right style (no frige and pulled back) that doesn't look horribly sheep but not spending too much money... @[email protected];; I'll also eventually do Girl Ranma and a redo of Shampoo.

Oh man...those are interesting questions.

1. I've always wanted to do a Temari cosplay, though her outfit's so elaborate that I'd have to buy it. I can't sew worth a damn^-^ Plus that fan would be interesting to make as well. There isn't really any costumes that I'd do that were in a group^-^

2. Well, Temari, of course^-^ What else...maybe Dawn from Pokemon. That would be fun to figure out. Or an outfit from something people don't know much about anymore.

1. I've always wanted to one of those super hard final fantasy-costumes xP I just haven't got the skills to do it :3 heh.
2. right now I'm not really planning anything.. the next con after this one will be in six months, so I have lots of time to think who I will cosplay next xP
