I actually don't cosplay...not that I dont' want to!

I'm just not good with making outfits or anything.

But my sister cosplays and she's really good at sewing and such. Her outfits rock!

As much as I love anime, I've only done cosplay twice. First I was Rin from Inuyasha. Not only was that my first cosplay outfit, but the first outfit I ever made period xD
Then my second outfit was Koji from Fushigi Yugi. That outfit wasn't as nearly accurate as it could have been, but it was still fun!
I think the next time I do cosplay, I'm gonna be Chihiro from Spirited Away. I have the hair, eyes, scrawny figure, and pants. I just need to fix up the shirt and shoes :3

I also wanna do some cosplays from Ouran High School, Dokuro-chan, FLCL, Digi Charat, Slayers. I wanna cosplay as a lot of characters. I just don't have the skill to make the outfits xD

Well, I do cosplay, but I haven't had much time or money into devoting myself to doing a new costume, much less go to a convention, so sadly, I've sorta had my cosplay career on hold. I'd love to get back into the habit of it once I finish up high school.

I had one of my original characters in mind -- one that was derived from the Naruto anime and manga, then I also wanted to do some gaming-type cosplays -- Hena, specifically, from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Also, I wanted to do Celia from Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, but again, the money and the time are my big time conflicts.

I've cosplayed as Kagome from Inuyasha, and Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, back in the day, however.

Isn't that called acting? what's the difference? Or maybe I'm just sadly mistaken.

There's a convention coming up to around where I live soon, and I'm going to be selling stuffs~
I would cosplay...but;

• 1) No moneys. $_$;
  2) No skills. ><;
  3) No time. *.*
  4) No resources. <.<
  5) No attention span larger than a gnats. XD;;

I'm definitely going to be dressing up though. That's going to be fun. I'll probably go Gothic Lolita with my friend or something. :D

No, it's pretty different. You don't really have to act like the character your dressed as. Some people do though.

Yes it's a bit of a dress up thing.

When you do act like them, it's more like being in character.

Not exactly acting. Though some people don't really act in character and interpret the fandom -anime/manga/comics/video games- characters to how they would like to see them hence some 'shounen ai' pictures or couplings that happen during conventions.

Or the pairing up of unconventional people.

I have cosplayed as Robin Sena from Witch Hunter Robin, Seras Victoria from Hellsing, and Noelle from Trinity Blood. I also have a lolita costume I paid to be custom made for myself. I just love dressing up, and why be a ghost for halloween when I can cosplay and use the costumes later at cons? X3

I have cosplayed Ellipse from Demon Diary, Akabane from Get Backers, Shadow Heartless from Kingdom Hearts, Ritsuka from Loveless, Mokona from Magic Knights Rayearth, and Haji from Blood+. I thin kthat is all the costumes I have done currently, not positive if there are others, I have gone to a con for 6 years or so. Also doing Rin from Fate stay hopefully and Rinoa from FFVIII, for this years A-Cen.

it's cool cause i know almost all the charas you mentioned.

I cosplay every year at Anime Central- unfortunately, no one who takes my picture posts it- and my dad forgets to take my picture half the time. The last picture I had taken is now 6 years out of date, so I can't even post it. ^^;.
I went as Sylphiel from Slayers in 2002, Alexander Howell from Ayashi no Ceres in 2003, Sora from .hack//SIGN in 2004, Ashton from Star Ocean EX(minus Gyoro and Ururun) in 2005, Presea from Magic Knight Rayearth in 2006, and Kaitou Jeanne from Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne in 2007. I plan on going as Jeanne again this year, as I don't know who to cosplay this year, and I really want a picture taken of me that I can share, as that's my best looking costume so far. :)
(And yes, I'm a girl in real life. Though I have been mistaken as a guy, though- once when I cosplayed Ashton(which was fine- I was supposed to be a guy), and twice when I was Jeanne. That made me go 'WTF!' mentally. I don't look manly. At all! Just because I don't have a huge chest size automatically makes me male? o-o; I don't know what logic they were using, but I still don't understand how I look like a guy.

One character I'd LOVE to cosplay would be Lemina from Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, but unfortunately, it's too old of a game for me to be recognized. :(.

@Sagitar: Well, my mom did help me a lot with the Rin cosplay. At least I didn't have to sew anything complex together for the Koji cosplay.
