Cool. I don't think I'd let being pregnant keep me from cosplaying. . . .although I could be wrong. I might not be that hardcore, who knows. I can THINK i'm that hardcore.
Anyway, cool ideas! You know, I think we need more pregnant anime/game characters.

Hiya guys.
I've been around cosplay for some time, but with time/resource/skill constrictions, I just buy things and put them together if I don't make it with the help of my grandmother. ^^; *sigh* -_-"
But I hope to be good at sewing someday!
Sadly, the only picture I have of me doing a legit cosplay is when I went to MetroCon, and my costume was still incomplete. I: I cosplayed as Fujiwara-no-Sai. But I can't find that costume! DX I think it was stolen from me.
However, I got some goals to hit for this year, hopefully by the time AO hits. If not, this MetroCon.
Bubsy the Bobcat (bought the fur, still haven't completed it)
Bubblehead Nurse (almost finished, I need to make the mask and get more make-up) (Silent Hill)
Henry Townshend (pppfttttt..I haven't even started it, but that's going to be the most expensive) (again, Silent Hill, but 4th in the series)
I don't care of my body type isn't like what the idea is! >:O I'm not too far from a theatrical costume shop, so I can at least "change" my skin color with Ben Nye make-up. Ben Nye isn't all that expensive, comes in a variety of sets, allows skin to breathe, along with other tasty benefits. 'Course, this is only if your skin can stand it.
And slim down, too. xP Bweheheh.

@Lehjamins: I. Totally. LOVE. your cosplay goals! I have a list of "couple" cosplays I want to do once I get a bf who likes cosplay and I hope I can get him to be the pyramid head to my bubble head nurse. :3 I know it doesn't work that way in the series, but I don't care. The next closest thing would be James and his wifey and that's just a bad idea to me, LOL. What exactly is Ben Nye make-up? Is that like what Eddy Murphy used when he was pretending to be a white guy?
@Y.Sora: There used to be a party city near me back when I wasn't a cosplayer. . . then we moved and I started cosplaying. T^T

Hello...
Uhm... I cosplay ^^d
Actually did one today. Since there are no cons where I live, we have to make do with what days we get (which aren't that many).
It's really fun to cosplay, too~

I was Grell from Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler, one of my friends was Sebastian and the other was Ciel (in a pink dress).

Mwaha: Thanks kindly. :P The thing I felt about the Bubbleheads is that it's a good cosplay for all body shapes and sizes. You could fashion out something for the male if he doesn't want to crossplay, and that's the Puppet Doctor (the doctor with the growth on his back) from the first game, or distress some medical clothing. I found a tutorial on DeviantArt that showed at least how to distress your dress, and I put a slight variation to it: you boil the dress in Earl Gray tea, then bake it in an oven. After that, you mix a blend of coffee beans and such to dingy it up. I took dirt, almond extract, vanilla extract, cinnamon, cumin, and mixed it all up before throwing it against the dress and stomping on it. After that, I baked it again to lock in the color and scent. The result is a oddly sexual, burned, and for some people, a nice-smelling dress. I've also found some tutorials for making the dress, dress, as well as interacting with your environment (walk/etc. included).
I'm not sure if Ben Nye was used for that, but I do know that if you want to, you can use it to change your skin ethnicity. With that said, it wouldn't surprise me if it was such.
If you've seen musicals such as Cats, then you'll oftentimes see them wearing Ben Nye make-up. It comes in a variety of sets, colors and the like. People have used it to paint clothing on themselves, too. And it lasts for a fairly good time; you only need a drop of water to activate it and it keeps big time.

@Snowin: =3 Yeah, I suppose it is.
@Luck: Wow! That's lovely!
@chibibaoser: nope. I wanna go, though. They always get my fav bands it seems. :/ Darn California for being so much closer to Japan than I!!!!!
@Lehjamins: oh that's right! The puppet doctor is a great choice in case he doesn't want to be topless and wearing a skirt with a giant thing on his head so he can't see. . . (for that rambling reason right there - I was afraid I'd never convince anyone to do it, LOL). Wow. When I do my Bubble Head nurse cosplay, I am going to do that!
Cats? Yeah, I know what you're talking about now. That's some powerful stuff then. I might want a bit of that for certain cosplays. I'm fairly tan, but I usually don't worry about color too much in my cosplays. There are a few, though, that I have in mind where it might be nice to not be quite as dark. I'm thinking mostly of blond cosplays. . .
I don't mean to get too off topic here, but have you played SH: Shattered Memories?

Those are so awesome. Although the clothes making process as Lehjamins described seems to end up great, how much time did it take?

Snownin: Yes indeedy you did.=D
If you were to line everything up consecutively without making the dress, less than a day. Add hours of frustration if you want to make the dress from scratch. I used my mother's grad nurse dress she didn't want. ;p
Paper Mache Mask: Give it about a couple of hours for the mask to before adding paint to it. But don't make the mistake I did by using spray paint made with lead. That sh*t will make you get ded. XD Best to do this on a hot day. If you can't get any sun, use a blow drier. Add some minutes if you're gluing the black wig from the second/third installment. But if you're going with the first, just get a blond(e) and a "granny" green cardigan. And it's not that bad to put on a long blond(e) wig. o.o Syrysleh.
Distressing the Dress: Total process for me was roughly 45 minutes. It wasn't any thing to make the gloopy concoction at all, or stomping on it. The real issue is boiling it to get it to that off-white/beige color, then when baking it, continuing to check on it so that it has a bit of scorching, but doesn't burn yer house down. o.o"
If you want to get more "in touch" with your inner nurse, that shouldn't be too hard; it's a variable level of comfort due to the moving and contortions that you might be doing (Isn't that ironic?). When I was taking an intro to dance class, I showed my teacher how they move in general from different sources, including the tutorial I found. Turns out that the odd dancing stems from bugaku, which is essentially a rebellious dance form that was born from the fusion of Japanese and German dance--fairly new from the mid-1900's..
It's powerful and gentle. :] Just check out the website for more info.
And yes, I owned and played through it.

Shattered Memories? What ending did you get? I've played through, like, a ton of times. O.O
I'm definitely looking forward to the movements they make and their poses. Personally, I think I'd go for a SH 2 nurse (unless whoever I get to go w/ me objects to being Pyramid head :/). I think the SH nurses make the most sense as a monster in that game.
