I was minding my own business and workin' like a lazy little bee earlier today when I got up from my desk to make a mad dash for the ladies. There's a water cooler in here and nothin' goes down sweeter than cool, clear springwater that I'm not paying for.

That's when I was informed that, horror of horrors, one of the delivery trucks delivering material to the construction site outside had run over a sprinkler head and the water was off.

What?! My teeth were floatin' and I had to sneak into the bathroom to do what I needed because, hey, the tank still had one good flush in there.

But now I'm thinking, and wanted to throw this out there for discussion. Did I do bad by being a sneaky pee'er? Would you have just done the "aughgottatinkle" dance until the water came back on? What do you think the etiquette should be for these kinds of situations? Is this really an appropriate discussion to be having?

I am sorry but this made me die laughing and then I had to go pee myself!!! I'm sorry but it is pretty funny >.<

I get that way a lot.
I am on the computer for most of the day.
And my body has no way of alerting me until I either go or flow.
So I make a mad dash to my bathroom.

Lol, I'd have done the exact same. I'm very sorry, but when it's an emergency situation like this you have to do what you have to do. Anything is better than peeing your pants, even doing it behind a little bush where no one can see you.

Something like that happened to me once. It sucked! D:
I had to pee so bad and I shouldn't have... but I did anyway. :]

You definitely did the right thing by actually going in the bathroom since there is no telling how long it will take them to get the water back up xD
Also if I really had to go I wouldn't even care about being polite!

I wish I had a bathroom attached to my room. Then it wouldn't be such a chore to go to the washroom.

I think whether or not you should go in a situation like that depends on how badly you have to pee.
If you have to pee very badly, then go. But if you only have to pee a little bit, or just not that badly, then hold it for as long as you can, so that way if someone ELSE has to go really bad, they can.

I should write a book of pee laws.

@Eserel: Wow that is one complicated washroom situation! I would hate to be in a situation like that, but I think I would run around and find another washroom in another place rather than use the male washroom.

Okay, so, what occurred to me while I was making my stealth tinkle was that guys had it easy. They could go find a tree and be really stealthy. It also occurred to me that I was glad it was only pee because what if the tank had no water?

Ew, that's what.

Stupid construction traffic! Though it's not the first time we've had the water go out because someone's mangled a sprinkler head.

I think the lesson here, actually, is automatic sprinkler systems are a bad idea. Garden hoses and spigots are where it's at. Yes?
