Alrighty, I'm bored as well, stuck at work. Eck. Heh, so where do you frequent the most on Menewsha? What thread in the nations?
I used to frequent some threads, but got ignored. Took a long hiatus from Mene and just came back.

@Trinity: Like I said, I am not gonna tell. I don't wanna let lose info that will be fallen upon deaf ears. Ya know, never talk again.

Nope, never. I'm guessing it stands for World of Warcraft, correct? (I'm not playing dumb.) I think I've played starcraft, are they similar?

@Kukie just try to have fun why arent you happy care to tell?
Oracle it is, welcome to Club 60! XD

@Kukon: Aww, well welcome back then! Hopefully you'll decide to stick around just a bit longer this time. =]

@SirSpoon: Hello and welcome Sir! I actually respect you for never playing WoW. It's so huge now - I liked it better when it was just a small thing; when you could see all the servers available on one screen instead of scrolling through the hoard of them.

@ Trinitydoll:. Oh it's going pretty good. I have an essay due on monday, but I've decided not to work on it for another hour or so. (It's worth 15% of my mark...I haven't even finished the two books for it.)

@ Kukon:. Oh I see now. The only game I really play is Civilization III (and the Sims 2, but we won't talk about that)-- I've been playing it for a year and I still don't understand how it works.

@ Trinitydoll:. Have you ever read 'The Poisonwood Bible' by Barbara Kingsolver? That's my first book, and it's a doozy.

@ Kukon:. I love the Sims, but there's just too many expansion packs.

I've played Civilization very briefly... but I don't remember a lot about it. Though I remember it being fun. ^^; And you're right, there are way too many expansions for the Sims - I thought the original was the best.

@Kukon: What did you play? When I started originally I played a human priest. Then I quit, and when the expansion came out I played a female tauren warrior - it was awesome. We'll see if I go back for the next expansion.

@Trin: In some ways I wish I had never played. It sure sucks your time away. XD

Quote:
The Poisonwood Bible is a story told by the wife and four daughters of Nathan Price, a fierce, evangelical Baptist who takes his family and mission to the Belgian Congo in 1959. They carry with them everything they believe they will need from home, but soon find that all of it--from garden seeds to Scripture--is calamitously transformed on African soil. What follows is a suspenseful epic of one family's tragic undoing and remarkable reconstruction over the course of three decades in postcolonial Africa.

The novel is set against one of the most dramatic political chronicles of the twentieth century: the Congo's fight for independence from Belgium, the murder of its first elected prime minister, the CIA coup to install his replacement, and the insidious progress of a world economic order that robs the fledgling African nation of its autonomy. Against this backdrop, Orleanna Price reconstructs the story of her evangelist husband's part in the Western assault on Africa, a tale indelibly darkened by her own losses and unanswerable questions about her own culpability. Also narrating the story, by turns, are her four daughters--the self-centered, teenaged Rachel; shrewd adolescent twins Leah and Adah; and Ruth May, a prescient five-year-old. These sharply observant girls, who arrive in the Congo with racial preconceptions forged in 1950s Georgia, will be marked in surprisingly different ways by their father's intractable mission, and by Africa itself. Ultimately each must strike her own separate path to salvation. Their passionately intertwined stories become a compelling exploration of moral risk and personal responsibility.

Dancing between the dark comedy of human failings and the breathtaking possibilities of human hope, The Poisonwood Bible possesses all that has distinguished Barbara Kingsolver's previous work, and extends this beloved writer's vision to an entirely new level. Taking its place alongside the classic works of postcolonial literature, this ambitious novel establishes Kingsolver as one of the most thoughtful and daring of modern writers.

I do enjoy an amount of action in my games. Which is probably why I hate Harvest Moon...oh god, worst game ever.

TT 3TT Really? I loved Harvest Moon for the sNES. Though - the other ones I was never really interested in. I'm currently playing (and addicted to) Final Fantasy Tactics and PuzzleQuest.

@Trin: Hmm, tycoon games... I think the closest I've done was Sim Theme Park and the Movies.

@Kukon: Do you have a favorite game?
