Mostly, I only order online if I know I can't get anything like it in person at a store.
Cause like, if you go to say, target, you can buy a bracelet for say, seven dollars.
If you order it online, you pay seven dollars, but you also have to pay about three to four dollars in shipping and handling.
So you save four bucks just by going to the store.
|
Exactly.
If it's not available at a store anywhere around me or anywhere I'll be going, I will order it off the internet if I REALLY REALLY REALLY want it. If I don't, and it kinda doesn't matter, I'll ignore it.
You just save money if you buy it from the store anyways. o3o
Damn Hot Topic! D8<
|
Yeah, I only order things that I REALLY REALLY want. Like you said, if I only want it a little, I won't bother. I'll just look for something similar in a store.
Normally, what I do, I'll look at something, and then wait a few days. If I still really want it, then I'll order it.
So mostly I order David Bowie shirts. XD That's actually what I ordered from Hot Topic. A David Bowie tank top dress thing, and a David Hasslehoff pin. (their pins are like, a buck, so it's silly to order them by themselves, since you'll be paying more in shipping than for the pin itself. So I waited until I had something else I wanted to order)
Yeah, I'm worried that I won't get the thing I ordered. When I ordered it, there was only a few left. Like, originally, I was going to order it in a small. I found it one night. The next morning, I looked, and all the smalls were gone. So I ordered a medium. I hope they didn't run out of those too. D:
|
Yuh. Sometimes you'll see something like a Doggy plushie and you'll be like..OHIWANTTHAT<33333333 and you'll order it and the next day you'll look at it again and say.."eh..I wish I hadn't have spent money on that..It's cute and all but I could get one for cheaper at another store."
xD I know It's hard sometimes. I pick and choose what I want. xD

Yeah, I've done that before. XD "THAT'S SO COOL!!! ...I can live without it."
I think one of the worst items you can own are the ones you only like a little.
You do like them. So you don't want to sell them or give them to goodwill or something. But you barely (if ever) actually use them.
I've got a bunch of shit like that. >. < I'm working on getting rid of it, but somethings are like "I MAY USE THAT! ... IN TWO YEARS. BUT I'LL BE GLAD I KEPT IT! MHM!"

Haha..I NEVER have to ask for permission. I have my own debit card, and can do whatever I want with it. WHOO! :3
I try to avoid using the internet as much as I can (avoid the shipping costs and all), but since all of the stores with anything I want are not in this town, and I don't get to go out of town often, I have had to buy a lot off the internet. ^^;
My latest purchase really redefined "expensive shipping" for me, though. XD

Cherry Flavored: LOL! It's not so much that problem for me. I have a bunch of stuff that I can do projects with, it's just that the only time I would actually HAVE TIME to do them and get rid of the remains (the box, the plastic it comes in) is on the weekend, and even then I don't have time since I'm always with my family doing something. I do have a lot of stuff I could put to good use though. NOT GOOD WILL. xDDD <333
Jaded Geisha: Sure! www.veryasia.com I bought all my pocky from there.
Fullmetal Phantom: Yes. Like I said, I HARDLY order off of the internet. The closest freaking Wal-Mart is an hour and a half away, two hours if the roads are really bad in wintertime. I have to ask when I want to buy something since I don't have a card and all, but my mom always says yes. xD
Estrella: Same. DAMN IDENTITY THEFTORS!...theftors? THIEVES. xDDDDDDDDD WOW THAT WAS HILARIOUS.

Lol, the Asian markets have million of Pockys. x3 Though I haven't had it for months. D:
I would like to shop on the internet but I don't because my parents don't let me. They think it's dangerous to give out your credit card number. Though I think the same thing too, I don't want my money to just disappear like that.

stuff online. I just give her the cash for it. I've bought
a ton of stuff off ebay. Mostly clothes and DVDs.

D-Yoop: If you give your credit card number out to those fake sites or some shit like that, then year, they might be robbed. But if you're playing it safe, then it's not that dangerous, if dangerous at all.
'clockwork: Lol I don't buy things off of eBay that much. Maybe some trading cards to have signed, but that's about it.

I don't have to worry about my mom buying me anything off the internet because I make my own money and have my own bank account. Though, I don't go wild. Just usually collectibles every month and then maybe some random items every now and then.

I have my own bank card, so I do most of my shooping for nonfoods on the internet. I <3 it, except for shipping costs. >D But I do lots of uberresearch and am really careful about where I buy stuff.
I should try that site for my pocky cravings...*drools* I've never found anyplace so cheap...:D

Ever since I got a debit card, yeah. I used to donate to Gaia a lot, till their items started becoming crappier.
I buy random stuff online, like my tablet, and then books and things from Amazon. Not food though. We have a Japanese grocery store/restaurant near my house so I can get pocky without having to wait for it to be shipped. ^_^

That's whar! xD
It's actually surprisingly cheap. And for all the pocky I got, I only had to pay about $6 for shipping.
I went to Amazon.com and added 1 tiny tiny box of Strawberry pocky for 86 cents and guess how much shipping was? Five Fucking Dollars. For HARDLY a 2 OUNCE BOX OF POCKY. I was like. Fuck you guys, I'm going to buy it elsewhere. xD

I buy things off the internet whenever I can't find them in the stores around me. Which is pretty often. I've gotten a lot of gifts and clothes off of the net. I go to the 'clearance' sections of online stores a lot. There seem to be better deals on their websites than in the actual stores. (Shirts for $3.00? Hell yeah.) I've gotten some pretty figurines as well. A dragon hourglass, a wolf statue. Necklaces and books as well. Oh, and electronics. $100.00 for a new Xbox 360 power cord? Pfft. $45.00 on Ebay. If you can find a place that doesn't overcharge for shipping and if you have enough patience to wait for whatever you want, the internet is a great way to go shopping.

Considering I'm 23 and don't have parents telling me what to do (...much), yes, I'm allowed to shop online. ;)
But I'm not exactly rich so I keep it to a minimum. I won't buy clothes or really expensive things online... too risky I think.
Mostly stuff like used video games, books, dvds...:P
