Danny The Laptop to Aislin: I hate you! I want a nap! And if I'm sluggish, then it's all your fault! Oh go ahead-- post! Ignore my needs! You thought you'd seen slow-motion before this, but you've seen nothing yet!
Resistance is futile!
You'll pay for this!
Aislin: Uhm... restart?
--> So I'm going to restart now, or possibly give my computer a brief nap. I'll be back in 30-ish.

Jenova: You can start from whenever you want. :3 You can list the books you've read or just start a whole new list and end next year.
Aislin: XD Okay. Have fun with that!
Ehnvy: :3 Good luck!

You can start your list now and end on December 28th of 2009! Or... you know... start mid-next week if you want. :P I s'pose it doesn't really matter, at this point.
Hope to see you 'round.
Hello again, Bishie and Ehnvy! :)
If you're still here, that is.
It's 6.16 a.m., for me, and I'm going to try desperately to stay awake all day so that I can get back on a normal sleeping schedule by Monday. I failed miserably at this, yesterday.

And...was it you I established was in the same timezone as me? 'Cause if not...well...we're in the same timezone. XD
I'm trying to do the same thing. I slept pretty much all day today.

@ Bishie: Yes! Night Owls of the West Coast, Unite! We should provide each other emotional support so that we can stay awake during that actual daytime. I woke up at 5 p.m. today; you?
@ Ehnvy: Woot! Did you have a huge holiday celebration recently? I'm developing this "Holiday Hangover" theory which maintains that you don't regain your normal sleeping pattern for at least three days after you celebrate. And the holiday weight gain doesn't dissipate for a month after. :P
During the school week, I normally sleep between 2-5 hours a night. I think that's why my body's rebelling. >.<

I'm not really a party person, it was just a family gathering, I also don't drink alcohol at all and got 8 hours of sleep each night. Maybe it's just the dull grey weather. I hardly sleep this long during the summer :3

@Ehnvy: I don't drink either. But my family gatherings are hardcore. We're talking 12noon to 1am bonanzas. And the food-- I swear it's drugged, because by the time you're done you want to nap forever.
Maybe it is the weather? That would make sense. I love the crisp blue of cold weather, but it's been quite nippy lately. And my blankets are warm, cuddly creatures which beckon from the depths of my room and encourage me to give up humanity in favor of warmer things.
I really like my blankets. :)
I love your avatar, by the way! Actually, I think I know of a skirt which might go well with it. I have to look.

Hehe, I'm going for the "I should be going to bed but I'll just have another coffee instead to go post on the forums some more" look :insane:
It's not so good looking on the Panda Headphones front, I made a topic, and checked the first page of the exchange forum, no trace of a seller. Oh wells x3 *patient*

Patience is good. The item is bound to show up eventually.
How does this skirt seem to you?:
Do you think you'd like it with your general outfit, or are you looking for something different to bring out a panda theme? It also comes in black.

Ah, well....things on the forums pick up as the day goes on. :3
Aislin: I woke up 6. |D;; I'm just a naturally nocturnal person and I didn't sleep for three days because things kept interfering with me catching up, so I finally just climbed in my bed and ignored everyone for the day.
D: Bleh, I hate when my dad wakes up. I think that's another reason I like night...it's nice and quiet and peaceful. My dad wakes up and jeeze...He is so noisy! I don't know how one person can make so much noise, but he manages it.

Hmm, the skirt looks quite like a Lolita one x3
If anything I'd be game for a nice pair of comfy white pyjamas, maybe even black ones for when I get the headphones to balance it.
As far as shoes go. I have no idea, I think I'll just buy a pair of cheap white socks or something lol. Thank you for the suggestion<3

@ Ehnvy: I like making suggestions! Although now I feel bad.. because before we were talking about people who treat their friends like Dollies... which I don't, by the way! I think.
... Nope. I don't. :D
But with an avatar it's different, right?
@ Bishie: I know exactly what you mean! I go partly nocturnal during the summer, and a lot of it has to do with needing quiet time. In the daytime, people are curiously loud and often volatile creatures-- and they get peculiarly cranky.
(Heh. I've developed a "they." That's gotta be unhealthy.)
The night is wonderful. All of the sounds are softer. I like the light of cars driving past my window... and I like going for walks/runs when it's too early for others to be awake. I also like going out late at night with other people. Sleepless people are Funny.
These things can also be accomplished by giving up "healthy" sleep entirely, but my body doesn't like it when I do that anymore. *grumbles*

Oh, God, I feel so old sometimes. I used to be able to stay up for days on end no problem...now I start feeling like death after only 30 hours.
I love going for morning jogs. I can't hear the cars from my house, though--I'm too high up. :3 I live on a private road, at the top of a hill.

@ Bishie: I used to be like that too! I'd get A's on class presentations after being awake for over two days... Ah, the good old days....
This is really bad news, I think. Is our entire generation prematurely aging at 17 and 18?
@ Ehnvy: You're welcome! Expect the unexpected. :P
Hee. Yes, I've had friends try to "dress me up" in stores before. It worked horribly, though, because the person who did it doesn't have my... proportions, say? She failed to realize that things which would work on her thinly framed upper body make me look like a very, very poor imitation of an immodest mermaid. XD
I would never put you through that pain.
@Jenova: Yay, you're back! Hullo. :)

XD I think so. Not just with the sleep thing, either, but with the heavy backpacks we have to lug around, the horrible food we put into our bodies, the ever-increasing stress put on high school kids...
I'm actually really interested in the study of sleep and insomnia. I have this book called Hello, Midnight. It's all about insomnia and it's absolutely fascinating. I definitely recommend picking it up--it's a light read. :3 Not really the kind of thing you read straight through so much as pick it up when, well, you can't sleep. XD

@ Bishie: I agree with every point you made except the horrible food. I'll have you know that I had a Cup of Noodles soup cup yesterday. It has veggies.
My schoolbag bruises me, actually. Right at thigh level, because it bumps against my leg when I walk. And I couldn't figure out, for about a month, why I had permanent matching bruises on both thighs.
That sounds inspired. Who's it by?

You knew that was my favorite phrase, didn't you?
What kind of books do you like? Do you have a favorite genre?
If you sort of have fun with Twilight, I have to recommend Patricia Brigg's Mercy Thompson series. They're sort of like Twilight, except that I don't want to kick them and run screaming from the room. :D
In fact, I really like them. They're fun, but they don't take themselves too seriously. I have the ebooks, if you're interested-- I can send them to you so you can read them on your computer. I have no idea how easy they would be to find, since I don't think they're very well known in most anglophone countries.
I would also recommend Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club to anyone. And once Cherry gets back online, she'll explain to you just how awesome the author Max Barry can be.
This is so exciting. :boogie:
