I'm glad to be added to the ranks of literate folks on Mene, tirethminet! LOL! Seriously though, thank you for the welcome.

Dream, you are reading a lot if your dreams are scenes from books! (of course, I've had that happen to me too... so what does that say about me? lol!!)

Quite. xD

I'm not just dreaming scenes from the book, but original plots with the characters and everything. Ten points to me because none the the characters never went OC, not even in my dreams. =3

I ended up going to Waldenbooks the other day and got a couple books I never thought I would. They were both on the bargain rack. One that only cost me $3 even though it's origional retail was $20 (it was about painting walls and other stuff like a pro) the other was about $5 and it was a massage and aroma therapy book. ^.^ I was all excited when I picked them up though I don't know when I'm going to have the chance to look though them because I'm still trying to get my big ol' hunkin book list down to nil.

@Feyona: I did that the other day! B&N had about five display's of books that were on sale. Most were hardcover and only going for three to seven dollars. Which was really cool. xD
That's were I got my Sex Lives of the Roman Emperors. Four dollars, I couldn't resist... >>;

I'm just hoping that really soon I'll be able to actually read everything I have. I mean maybe if I have a full day to myself to do whatever I want I will, but those are so few and far between I generally end up just playing video games. XD

@leenie: not really ;_; I'm really socially awkward, getting a word out kills me. I do understand most of what people are saying though. I live with my boyfriend and his family so I hear it all the time.

Be prepared for some disturbing subjects. :insane:

I've never read that particular book, but I can think of a few emperors whose private lives are not for the faint of heart.

Woo, I finished Antic Hay last night so all the books can go back to the library. I started Alex Higgins' autobiography which is interesting but I'm not sure I can sympathise with him too much. He spends the first few chapters saying about how he was poor but honest and he made enough money from odd jobs or schemes as well as playing snooker to have a few treats as well. Then he says things like "I never threw the ashtray at her I threw to miss her" and "I think I grabbed her by the throat but I never hit her" about his many wives/long time girlfriends but he doesn't seem to think that's really wrong.

The joiner was here today, but I was at sixth form and I'm not really happy about being in the house alone with him tomorrow. For his sake not mine really, I have no idea what to say to him. The last builder laughed at me when I asked how he took his tea. ¬_¬

That's what I was hoping for when I bought it.
I've done reports on Roman and Greek military and ilk of that nature, so I know what to expect. xD

@minet ~ well if you look at it this way I've got an XBOX 360, a PS2, a Wii, a PSP and a few of the older systems. I actually have my origional NES still in tact... I THINK it was still working last time i hooked it up too. been a year or so... maybe I should try it out again. I've got the track and field pad and the gun to go with it. <3 I love video games almost as much as I love books. I have to say ALMOST just because video games don't smell better with age. (they don't really smell good at all) I love the way old books smell! But enough of that. Yeah. Favorite series is Final Fantasy. Favorite Racing is Burnout. Favorite fighting is Soul Calibur. Favorite RTS is Command and Conquer.

OH! And Happy almost birthday Shadow!! <3

Feyona - Do you have a SNES and/or N64?
I love mine. And I'm saving up for a wii!
I've also got a gamecube, PS2 (and of course a TON of original playstation games) and there's a finicky NES buried somewhere in my closet. It works, but only when it feels like it.

Happy Birthday Shadow. You're old now! =P

Tireth: Yeah, I have no idea why. The phrase "Do you want milk and sugar?" isn't so hilarious to me. I had a cup of tea this morning but I was reading/ignoring joiners so it got a little cold.

+ I was reading my Alex Higgins book and about half way through there was a little 'Thank you for shopping at Waterstones' card in it. I bought it from The Works. I always find odd things in books. 1950's tram tickets anyone?

@Cherry ~ I've got a SNES but it doesn't really work because I don't have the chords for it. I know they'd probably be cheap to find, but I don't have enough time to play all the games I own as is... (and I keep renting more from GameFly... ^.^;; ) My origional NES is a total masochist.....it only works when you hit it enough. XD

@Game System Talk: I have a ps2, N64, Wii (had a Gamecube), stole my friends SNES, and an Atari. You know the one with the joystick and single button. Pong tournament go!

@Feyona: I have to many games too. I actually just had my boyfriend finish the last level of one for me, while I watched. I never seem to want to end them.

I get that way with games too sometimes. It's like I never really seem to want to let them go. Like I was stuck on the origional Kingdom Hearts FOREVER because I didn't want it to end.

Ohhh, you should get the cords for it! ESPECIALLY if you have Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2. Those are GREAT games.

I like to compare my NES to the victim of an abusive relationship. You've got to hit it around, but then blow it to make sure it'll still work.
That's terrible, but it's true. xDD
THANK GOD YOU DON'T HAVE TO BLOW IN GAMES ANYMORE. THANK YOU, INVENTOR OF THE CD-R. THANK YOU SO HARD.
