Well according to my library's home page we aren't having a sale any time soon... Though there is bimonthly guitar hero night. oO;;
I need to find a place that has book sales. I'll be garage sale jumping all summer for books. Just watch.

I like to go to estate sales to pick up books. Sometimes you can get really valuable books there because the collectors are more interested in the furniture. I got some first edition poetry books from the 1800s that way.

Wow, that sounds like a really good find, Shadow!
Personally, I love yard sales just for the deals. ^^ I haven't been to many recently, but I've been to lots of thrift stores, and I'll be having a yard sale very soon.

@Shadow - OH! What authors? My mom got a John Greenleaf Wittier collection from the 1800's from a sale that her library was having (She was like 18 when she got it).

Yes, and we can just renew them online. Our library has such an easy and reasonable system, I don't know what I'll do when I no longer have it. ;.;
My library has never had a sale that I know of. D: I wish.

Iltu - Ohhh, I see. Then having 88 books isn't that bad, just as long as you can keep track of when they need to be renewed. I thought you'd have to pay for all those renewals. @[email protected]

Goodness, that'd be awful. XD I'd be alot more conservative about having books out if that was the case. My library's website lets you keep track of all the books you have out in a list that goes by due date. So as long as I check and am sure of the date, I have no problems unless my parents won't take me to the library. D:

@cherry - but the weenie doggie is too far away for me to get a good picture.
ahahaha simple plan.
the ones i got in the 90s... macy gray, alicia keys, and avril lavigne? that was about ten years ago so i'm like "lolwutmemory?"
ahahaha. so i was watching a korean drama. (coffee prince)
and mika's lollipop came on. randomly.
i was all LOLWTF. XD
just letting you know. x3
@massage - down here? you can be much farther south than me. :3
well i do live in one of the most liberal and unique places in texas.
it's not surprising to find random little things around the place that make the town weird.
@kat - i believe, if i had known they existed, i would have been interested as well. XD
51, holycrap. @[email protected]
i really need to go to that one record store downtown and check what they have. it's ridiculous how huge their store is. i thought there was just the one room, but then it went to another and another. D:
well famous people don't have time to learn how to spell your name. x3
ahahahaohman. now i have to read it. scottish slang. i may need some sort of glossary, though, if he is overdoing it.
and of course his cp is cute! john looks adorable in a kilt, though. 8DD
goodness gracious. library books are being magicked into your hands.
french sheet music. XD
@dani - you are on that special level. ;_;
i heard you got kim into repo! i said we should have a repo! party when i come up in july.
bimonthly guitar hero night? LOLWTF.
also, if you happen to see a broken BROKEN guitar/bass while you are garage sale hopping for less than $20, get it for me and i will pay you back. or i can do some math with that $15 you still owe me. :<
cause i want to try and rework the guitars/bass, but i don't want to do it on a perfectly good/playable one. D:
@iltu - you almost fell over? from books? MUSCLES, MUSCLES.
good god. 88 out and 25 at once. I THINK MAYBE YOU SHOULD GO TO THE LIBRARY MORE OFTEN. so you don't have to take out so many at once.

@tirethminet: Ahh. Yea. I kinda live in a bible belt area where the most out of place store is a metaphysical book store. They do have nice journals though. ^^
But yea, not much here really seems... amazing. Still, I may not be looking hard enough. Maybe one weekend I'll just wander and see what I can find. I've been here a while but I still feel like I just got here.
@Dream_and_Die: Congrats! Hehe. That's just awesome. =]

@leenie: That was only in ten days. Actually wasn't all the manga in one? xD Oops.
Now that I got all my books back I redid all my bookcases and I took pretty pictures!
Here's my bookcases (finally): Case one and two, case three, case four, and case five.
Here they are again but with lines telling you how my brain works and the books go: One and Two, Three, Four, and Five.
'Cause it's hard to see, here's a close up of: Case four, Top two shelves (Manga) Case five, Top shelf (Comics) Case five, Bottom Shelf (Art books) Case four, Bottom two shelves (Movies)
Any questions about books, 'book ends' or nic-naks feel free to ask. xD

Tell me about it. xD It's mainly because the shelves on most of those cases are nailed in, so big books only fit in certain areas. The movies are space fillers till I get more books.

Dream - It was more the placement of the "normal books." Were they arranged by genre, or just size?

Oh the normal books were done alphabetical by author. xD
I tried using the same systems as the libraries but that got annoying (I didn't want to put little tags on all my books).
The only things done by size are the Art books and school text books because there are to many authors for those.

I'm really enjoying The Stepsister Scheme. Snow White is a mirror witch, Sleeping Beauty is a bitter martial arts master with a major grudge against fairies, and Red Riding Hood (AKA the Lady of the Red Hood) is one of the realm's most fearsome assassins. Cinderella carries around an enchanted glass sword with an edge able to cut through fairy enchantments.
