I bought a new car today. One that actually has doors that open. And doesn't leak. Or stop working at really inconvenient times...

I haven't been in this thread in ages! ;-;
I updated my challenge list. I think its funny that I've already read more books this year than I did for the whole year in 2008. xD

I just finished another book! The second book in the "Twelve Kingdom" series. I liked the ending of the book MUCH better than the ending of the anime. Surprisingly though, the book was relatively similar to the anime. I think there's a third book out in the series now. I have a ton of books that I already own to read...So maybe that one will wait a little.

@Daria: Yup book three is out, in hard cover at least. It came out in March 2009 and the paper back will be out around February 2010. It's called The Vast Spread of the Seas (personally I like the Japanese title Sea God of the East, Vast Sea of the West, but then again I liked all the original titles better). Just as a heads up there are seven books and they are being translated at one book per year, and they come out every march in hard cover and paper back the following February.
Hehe!! I left this open while I ran downstairs and there was a box of books waiting for me! I love ordering stuff, it's like Christmas in May! (Would have been funnier if it was currently July. xD)
I got the first three Vampirates (Finally, leenie would have killed me soon), the first three of Patricia Briggs Marcy Thompson series, and Heart of the Dragon (book one of the Atlantis series by Gena Showalter, seeing as I have the other three xD).

Okay, since we were all talking about fanfiction a few pages ago I went threw all the stories I used to read, complete and incomplete ones. Now I'm saving them to my computer because I'm finding people are deleting their accounts and such. For fun I'm going to make them all standard font and size and see how many Word pages I've read of fanfiction. xD Not towards my goal, just to see how much I rot my brain. What's scary is so far I've gotten 10 'chapters' of one saved and it's like 30 pages... and there are 23 more chapters. XD
I have a feeling it will be a lot of brain rot... XD

Dream - Oh man. I don't even want to know how much fanfiction I've read. Tons of books worth. I have one part from a story arc saved and it alone was 200+ pages in word. XD

@Dream, thanks so much for the information on the books. I just loved the anime, and was sad when it ended without finishing the story off...I am probably going to wait for the third one to come out in softback. I have plenty of other books to get to at the moment, I should read those before buying more.

@Melissa: Well I'm going to count them after I reread them... (I didn't write down any story less then 5 pages so I can't find/count those) Unfortunately when I was really into fanfiction (about 3 years ago) I followed a bunch of authors and I lost my computer and I got out of the habit of checking and reading, then real books came along... xD I've come to find out most of the ones I really liked, still haven't been finished.
@Shadow: Oh a Neon! I need a new car. xD
@Daria: No problem, I obsessed over getting those books, I wish they'd release two a year. T_T

Whew I haven't posted for a long time.... I lost my list in the backpages and was just too lazy to search for it until now!
I have simultaneously just finished reading three books.
Maskerade by Terry Pratchett, It had to be you (Gossip Girl prequil) by Cecily Von whatshername, and Mort by Terry Pratchett.
I am halfway through the new novel by Christopher Moore, Fool, and I love love love it. This is an author who, in my eyes, can do no wrong. He is a dark, dirty and brilliant story teller! I highly recommend this book to anyone and I'm not even finished it yet!

Oh, wow. owo;
I thought that 'car' said 'cat' in those posts.
I was like,
What the HELL are they talking about, neon cats? That sounds really cruel. o_O
I think I've only read one piece of fanfiction in my life.. and it makes me want to read more. >w> It was something with Ville valo and Tom Kaulitz. 8D;
I've read 70+ books this year~ I just went through my reading history at the library.. because I followed a link in a signature. >w< This thread is very slippery when it comes to my mind and my mind trying to hug the memory. o3o;

I just ordered two books completely impulsively. "Sellevision" and "Magical Thinking" by Augusten Burroughs. I was also going to order "Lucky" by Alice Sebold, but I ran out of Paperback Swap credits. :c

So last night I had a nightmare and needed a fun book to calm me down and put me back to sleep. I ended up picking up Sabriel by Garth Nix.
For a YA fantasy novel, I forgot about just how good it is. Now I need to go to my basement and dig out the other two books in the Abhorsen series!

Pfft, another reason not to trust Kanye West.
The guy might make good music, but he's an absolute airhead. There's pretty much no point in listening to the junk that spews from his mouth.
