Ah. *nods*

I'm reading Volume 3 of L.J. Smith's "Night World" series - I really like it. ^^ I've also got the first book of "House of Night." I haven't read it yet, but I did read the first chapter online (the official site for it) before I bought the book, and thought it was cool. X3

I've read the Great Gatsby recently (before my list).
I've only been a Manga reader the last... few years [less than 2 years](before that I didn't know of its existence). And thats what I like to read atm the most, so I'm including it. ^^

@Nickle: I have the first Night World book but I want to own them all before I start reading, but since I haven't started it I'm not pressed to buy the other two. XD Oh I read the first three of House of Night, I'm waiting till October for six to come out so I can read the net three (I read them really fast).

@Bishie: That was a really good series. I loved it.

@ Bishie: Have you read "The Great Gatsby" before? I have (had to for a class once); I personally didn't enjoy it, but maybe you will. :3

@ Cheartie: Mmmaaannngggaaaaa.... 8D What ones do you like?

@ Dream: "Night World" is really good (in my opinion), so if you get a chance to pick up the other two, do it! XD; They're cheap too - especially with how large they are! (both 2 and 3 are priced at $9.99!)

Ah, I didn't realize that "House of Night" was on-going. *nods* Interesting~

I haven't been online so my list hasn't been updated in a while D8

I have run out of books to read. Anyone care to recommend a few by PM?

*comes in and waves* I'm likely not remembered in this thread by anyone other than Shadowfoot, but Hello everyone!

There are, as always, some interesting books being read (& discussed) here!

I've opted for a "light" read and am currently reading Joust by Mercedes Lackey.
... just thought I'd share. *shrugs*

Hi Platinum! What kind of books do you like again? If you tell me I can throw together a bit of a list for you. ^_^

Hey Blaze! I remember you. I don't remember if we had in depth conversations but I know I've at least said hi to you before in here. xD

Hi Dream, yes I do think we've chatted a little (although probably not too much here). Thanks for the offer of a book list, but I already have a HEAP of books on my "to read" list and hesitate to add to it until I manage to cull it down a bit further (and even then more books just seem to pop out of nowhere at me and I find myself inundated again)! I have a list of read books around here somewhere...

Is putting booklists together a bit of a hobby for you, Dream? It seems like something you truly enjoy doing...

I do like putting together lists. xD I like helping people when they get in a specific mood for one style of book. ^_^
That offer was mainly for Plat since she wants a list but I don't remember what type of books she likes and I don't read many regular fiction books. I'm mostly more fantasy and Scifi.

I tend towards classic fiction, science fiction and fantasy as well most of the time... but I have about a dozen books on my shelf right now that I need to get through (plus the 3-4 that I'm currently reading) before I start adding to the list.

That's cool that you like to put together lists for people. Sometimes it can be a time-consuming thing to find a book that you'll like when you feel like reading and haven't anything particular in mind...

I think I own about thirty books that I haven't read yet.... xD My 'to read' list is actually two shelves on one of my bookcases. I have a list but that usually winds up being a 'to buy' list. ^_^;

I do lists all the time. One of my cousins is a avid reader like me and she's four years younger then me so I'm constantly putting together lists for her. XD

*nod* I don't like to get tooooo far behind in my unread books list - it gets overwhelming after a while and confusing when it's time to pick up a new one! (And whatever I'm in the mood for at the time just never seems to be on the shelf! ) LOL!

That's great that you have family to share your love of reading with.

Blaze! I love Mercedes Lackey! I have almost all of her books (and there are a lot of them). Joust is a fun one. Are you going to read the rest of the series?

I think I've been listening to Peril at End House for weeks now. -_-

I checked on iTunes- it's 5.7 hours. I only really listen while I'm doing the washing up or little jobs like that. No wonder.

I think I just figured out a way for me to include manga in my book list. XD Instead of adding every volume, I'll add it when I've read the whole thing. 8D Granted, this only applies to series that are finished, but I plan on re-reading the entirety (all 23 volumes) of Fruits Basket at least. :3

Again, this is just me. XD I know some people are including every volume, but I go through them so... well, not quickly... but easily, I guess, that I personally don't feel right including each individual volume on my list. After all, they're all part of one story.

I've put Watchmen on my list, and a few collected volumes of comics I've read from the library but haven't included anything I've read on the computer. Might make a little note about the other comic series though, and audiobooks.

Not a manga reader myself though unless I could find The Big O manga in English. Found it on the internet straight away, no idea how I've missed it before.

@Nickle4aPickle: What type of Manga do I like? .__.
Good ones... ><
Ones that keep me hooked. I don't know what type, but I like romance. One I really enjoyed recently is Bakuman.

I count one manga series as one book. Though some are only 3 chapters, others 36. (16 is the most so far. Most of them are about 6 chapters or so.)

I just search one site for its romance mangas then go through them alphabetically (I don't read them all, just ones that I like/think I'll like and are PG ><)
