LaVida- Only if you want it to! :)
Everything is pretty much up to you, some people include title, author, page number, date completed, maybe even some other stuff, and some people just put down the title.
Good luck, Jovie! It's a really fun challenge.

@Iltu: They were the Percy Jackson books (for kids) so even though they each had 290+ pages I could read them in under four hours. XD
Good Luck Jovie and LaVida!

I keep hearing about those Percy Jackson books. I feel like I should stop by my library and pick up a few just to check them out. It's not something I'd enjoy reading, but I want to see if I could use them in my classroom in the future. Anything that gets kids reading is an amazing thing.
Can you guys tell me the name of your favorite one in the series?

Nope, arrange it however you want to.
I just use the title + author + page number because that's what is easiest for me.

I haven't posted in here for ages. >.<
Anywho, there's not a chance I'm going to finish my challenge this year, but I might try again next year. :P
Although, I've just finished reading 'The Book Thief' and have fallen in love with reading all over again, so hopefully it's a positive kick in the butt. Was a very good book. One of my favourites, I believe. :)

Dream- I read the first page of the first of those books and about threw it out the window. XD Except it was my brother's, so that would have been rude.
Glad you enjoy them, though. C:
Spring- I love that book! Oh, it was so beautiful and moving and sad and wonderful. <3

Iltu: It was incredibly beautiful. Each time I try to explain how I feel about it, I always find that I'm lacking the right words. xD
I just loved everything about it, though; the relationships between characters, the narration, how many emotions I felt reading it ... lots of stuff!
Very tempted to say it is my favourite book. :)
Side note: I've just had a look at your book list and found Lolita on their. I've been tempted to read it but I thought I'd ask for another opinion on it. ^^

Spring- Aye, you took the words from my mouth. XD
The emotions and the narrating style were my favorite parts. I felt so much throughout the process of reading that book, and yet the narration style totally offset that. Plus, the idea to have Death narrate the story was wodnerful. :)
I did rather like Lolita. ^^ It slowed down and I was hating it around the middle, but it picked back up again and I continued to like it just as much has I had before. I'd reccomend it.

Iltu: It's just one of those books that leaves people speechless! xD
What I found most interesting about the narration was that Death gave things away, and pretty much the ending, too, but that didn't really change how I reacted to it at all. I'm going to re-read it sometime soon maybe, and see what was said in the beginning because I don't really remember it all that much. >.<
I've found the Lolita lifestyle, and everything else that comes with it really, kind of fascinating lately so I've been wanting to read about it as much as I can. Thanks for your opinion. ^^

I know just what you mean! I was still hoping stuff that Death revealed wouldn't happen, even though there was no avoiding it.
I'll just drop a warning that from what I've read, the book Lolita and the Lolita clothing and lifestyle have very little, if anything, in common.

@Iltu: I didn't really love them, they seemed like something I would have adored as a child though. Purely for the story idea. I still love the idea, but the books were eh. It's not like I flew threw them in a few hours because of enthusiasm. They were just that watered down... da-dun-ch (Poseidon pun). XD
Also are you talking about the book written by Vladimir Nabokov, or the book about the pen pal girls(i think)? If the second, then yes that book was very deceiving.
@Knerd: I like the first, mostly because Hades was in it. Though if you want to use them, book two (The Sea of Monsters) has more 'lessons' in it. XD Like don't judge people by appearances, love your family, enemies can become friends, friendship conquers all and that flaming dodge balls hurt. All the good stuff that is typical of a Disney movie.

Dream- The one by Vladimir Nabokov. I've heard of the second, though I've never read it.
Risika- I do the same thing, putting books on as I read them. I flit from wanting to read this book to wanting to read that book way too much. XD

Haha, same here. I think next I want to read Brisingr next... It'll be the third time I've attempted to read it. It's not that it's no good, it's actually quite interesting, but it's amost like somebody out there want to keep me from finishing it, haha.
Really? That's cool. I personally really like how the series is turning out. ^^

I read Brisingr pretty quickly, I was worried about spoilers. XD And it was just amazing, I could not put it down. ^^
I actually liked Inkheart a lot more than I liked Inkspell and mopre than I've been liking Inkdeath. I still love the second two, but I almost wish it had been left at one book.

Haha, it's been so long since I last tried reading it through that I may have to bring out the other two first. Refresh my memory a bit.
Yes, Inkheart will probably be considered a classic years from now. ^^ A lot of books would have been excellent without sequels, but I'm usually the type of reader who's always wanting to know, "And then what happened?" Haha.
Oooh! I really need to reread the Lost Years of Merlin series... Need to find my library card though, or wait 'till Christmas seeing as I don't own them.

I felt the exact same way, but, alas, it still happened. :P

Riskia- Yeah, I reread the first two before I read Brisingr, just because there's SO MUCH information and I didn't want to be reading it like "What, WHO is that character now?" an so on. XD
I agree, it's just so wonderful. ^^ A truly great book for people who love books!
I've not read those books, but I've heard I should- I love anything and everything related to Athurian legend!
Spring- I was still really upset when it happened. XD
Admittedly, I don't know much about the Lolita lifestyle, so I'm not sure how close it's ties with the book are. ^^; I've not been able to find a lot of information on it in relation to the book, though I've found a few things about the clothing in regards to the book.

Lolita is a book that tends to be grossly misinterpreted by 90% of the people who read it. It honestly has nothing to do with pedophilia - That's just the metaphor through which Nabokov writes. So it doesn't surprise me that the fashion trend is so loosely connected with the novel.
And honestly, everything I know about the fashion is from Wikipedia.

Knerd- I'm one of those 90%, I fear. XD I'm so bad at not taking things at face value. Though I did look into some of those metaphors you pointed out to be back when I was reading it, and applied some of them to the novel. I totally loved the one about tyranny- it fit so well and made so much sense! Plus, it made the book more meaningful to me.
So thanks for that, don't think I ever actually made a point of telling you. :3

Haha, no problem.
Lolita is just one of my pet peeves. I tend to see a lot of people discussing it on a very shallow level and missing all the subtleties, then complaining about how they dislike the message. So it's not a problem if you just take everything at face value (the first half of any book is what the author chooses to show you, after all), but judging a book strictly because you don't understand it is quite a different matter.

If anyone is interested in Ancient Egypt and Rome I found three books by Michelle Moran that are really good reading. The titles are:
1. NEFERTITI
2. THE HERETIC QUEEN
3. CLEOPATRA'S DAUGHTER
The first two are about Egypt around the time of Akenaten. The last one is after the defeat of Anthony and Cleopatra, when Octavian takes their children to back to Rome.
I suppose you could use this as the beginning of my list. I KNOW i will read more than 50 books in year. I think I'll just start counting to see how many I do actually read.
