@ Carn: No...I'm feeling my workout from last Sunday. It's not as bad as yesterday, but whenever I extend myself completely, my muscles let me know they hate me.

WAAAAH!!! I wanna go somewhere with stars! There's no stars where I am! I miss the stars!

ahh... Feel the burn! But it's that nice kind of hurt right? No stars?!? If it makes you feel any better there aren't any stars out right now cause it's cloudy!

Merp. I really need to pay more attention to this thread. But lately I've taken to reading a lot of romance novels, as well as a few teen novels. I actually just started rereading The Warrior Heir by Cinda Chima Williams. Haven't read it in about two years.

What sort of books/authors would you all recommend that I read? I need something new to keep me occupied. :]

I'd suggest Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series. As for Star Trek, I'd reccomend The Vulcan Academy Muders, Prime Directive, and Shadows on the Sun. Also, try reading the Star Trek: Titan books and the Star Trek: Academy series by William Shatner.

Another series of books I'd reccomend that aren't Star Trek are the Dark Hunter novels by Sherrilyn Kenyon. And if you like those--though I've never read the books I'm going to mention, my mom says that they're good reads--there's the League novels, also by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I've never read them, but according to my mom they're really good. I do know the Dark Hunter novels have a ton of mythology in them (and sex), and just that makes them worth reading.

A while back there was a book series by K.A. Applegate called everworld, also directed at teen audiences. It was a good series I thought, though I would have liked it if it had been a little longer. I also suggest the Alex Benedict novels by Jack McDevitt if you're into Sci-Fi. There are 4 of those, kinda mystery solve the case kinda thing. Very well written. The foundation series by Isaac Asimov of course is another great one. Any Magical land of Xanth novels.

Did anyone ever read the Animorphs books way back when?

@Alaunt:: OMG I love the Warrior Heir, (well all the books in that series).
@Taiyo:: I loved sword of truth up until the last book.... the ending for me was a bit anti-climactic compared to the rest of the series, idk, maybe Im the only one that feels that way.

And a series I recomend, if you like the Sword of Truth Series is Jaqueline Carey's Kushiel Series. The First one is called Kushiel's Dart. Sex, murder, intrigue, war, the series has it all ^_^

I'm no good with recommendations but a few of the books mentioned already are on my mental to-read list. This year so far I've veered from early 20th century professors, through sci-fi and arrived at Swedish crime writers. I was given the first Wallander novel last December so I thought I should read it before it's first anniversary of being in my ownership.

Knerd: The next time you're updating the front page would you please be able change my list to this post here. Thank you. ^^

I've read up to book four of the sword of thrift series and by then I wanted to murder all the characters in cold blood. I couldn't stand them anymore. But I absolutely love the first book and I've read it over and over.

And I agree with your mom. The dark hunter series is awesome. I've read a out 3/4 of the series and I just need to get my hands on the rest. :]

I've read along the last book. I'm not going to read it until I get the first two in my personal collection (1st edition, hardcover, of course). :]

Finally hit page 300 in Winters Heart... I'm such a slow reader... >.<

My sisters and brother are able to read paragraphs at a time (small ones so they say) I wonder if they are lying? or can other people glance at a small paragraph and understand all the words in it too? Can any of you guys? Or are you in my boat of reading a word at a time XD

Right now I'm reading a book on Islam. Its interesting, because I know absolutely nothing about the religion.
Also, re-reading Your Inner Fishy, by Neil Shubin. Its an amazing documentary about how the fish Tiktaalik was discovered and changed our view on evolution. Yes, we evolved from a chimp... but long long before that we were fish-creatures. Crazy stuff//

---------☺--- "It could be bunnies..."
Milk's Book Challenge

Just how many can she read in a year?
Start - November 1st 2010 ♥♦♣♠ End - October 31st 2011

listed - ten】♦♥♣♠unread - one】♦♥♣♠read - nine】

▄▄▄▄▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

Currently Reading - The Red Hourglass
▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄▄▄▄▄

I'm not doing this challenge with a goal in my mind. This year is for gauging for future years. I'd be
disappointed if I couldn't reach a goal simply because it was impossible for me from the start, but I like a challenge
and don't want to undersell myself. If I did it would feel almost like a waste of a challenge. I know I could always
go from one small goal to another, larger goal. That still wouldn't feel right. So a gauge year this is.

1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Omnibus 1
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Omnibus 2
3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Omnibus 3
4. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Omnibus 4
5. Crazy About Quilting: Confessions of an Average Quilter by Ada Moyles
6. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Omnibus 5
7. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Omnibus 6
8. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Omnibus 7
9. House and Philosophy: Everybody Lies
10. The Red Hourglass by (I'll but the author name when I have the book in front of me)
"... or maybe midgets." ---------☺----
