@Cherry: Not really, each one of the three has it's merits. My first offer is my top course choice, my second is the cheapest place to live and my third is where a lot of my friends are at C:

I still have another two to hear back from too. One of them I've already pretty much ruled out. I'm going to one of the cities this weekend though so I'll have a better idea of where I want to go after Monday :)

I know once I hear back from my two schools, it's going to be hard for me, - although I do know which one is going to be the one that I really want to go to, but the other one is closer to home, and I'll see my family more often if I go to the closer one. >.< But the farther away school is better in terms of the program that I want to get into.

If the farther-away school is better, then I'd say to go for that one. I know seeing your family won't be as easy, but you'll still get to sometimes, right? And its not for forever or anything.

The thing is, that sure, I will get to see them, but I don't drive, so once I'm down there, the only way to get me back up here is for someone to rive the 6 hours (one way) to get me, or pay for me to fly up here - the school is in Southern California, and we live in Northern California)... so basically I'll not be seeing them often. The other school, I'd see my mum more often, because she goes to the school that I'd be going to. So I could come home for a weekend or a night or something because she'd already be down there. But I do know the one farther away is the better school, even if I feel that my mom is trying to convince me not to go. >.<

I've found (and this isn't always the case, mind you), that getting away from home for a long while can show you what you can handle/what you're ready for. It offers you more opportunities to grow and adapt to college life and the world around you. It certainly did me a world of good.
Like as not, you'd get to see your family quite a bit during breaks, so it's not like you'd be completely cut-off.
Worst case scenario: you don't enjoy being that far from home. In that case, you can always transfer to the closer school later on.

Seri: Oh, I have been far from home- not as far as I'll be if I go to the farther away school now but decently far, and I didn't handle it well, so I am afraid that this may happen again. I majorly crashed and burned the first time. So that is the main reason for being hesitant to go to the school that's over 6 hours drive from home.
But I am older now so fingers crossed I can handle it better, plus I'll be around more people I can relate too given that I get in and also get into the living community I want to get into in the dorms on campus.
And I already have done that, I did transfer closer, the first time. I've been in college now for 5 1/2 years. And gone to 3 different colleges so far - first for one semester, then 3 semesters away from home, and then now going on 3 years at the school that I just finished at that was closer to home.

I've decided to start cross stitching again. :) I think my Book Stall is because I read 2 500 page books in a row. >.< Well, 1 of them was almost 500 pages. I can only take so much at once. LOL!

I'm generally not a fan of anime/manga. Something about it usually just doesn't click with me. But Death Note came highly recommended (and loaned - being free helps) from someone whose taste I trusted, so I decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised!
