Doing 50 books in a year is easy as heck for me, but lately I just haven't been much of a bookworm ^^;

On another semi-related note, I've finally made an inventory of all the books in my collection. I've got over 900...probably over 1,000 by now .

I never finished Pendragon, Shadami - I remember buying the hardback copy of The Rivers of Zadaa when it came out, but then never finishing it. And now it seems like there are multiple spin-off Pendragon series? Is that right!? I remember googling out of nostalgia several months ago and being taken aback by all the different Pendragon stuff.

I've actually got several series (mostly trilogies) unfinished. I promised myself I'd start book two in one tonight - "Null States" by Malka Older. A trilogy her brother wrote is oddly enough one I still haven't finished, either.

I've met Malka three(ish) times so far, and tomorrow night she'll be at a speaking event by me that I'm also attending. -dork-

Pendragon was fun! I read it in elementary and middle school and I think Zadaa came out my freshman year of high school. I forget, but I think at least half of each novel is written in letters from the protagonist to his friends back on Earth. One of the first books I read that incorporated letters very frequently, and I thought it was very well done.

I also vividly remember odd bits, like how his best friend ate carrots almost exclusively, and would eat said carrots while reading his friend's latest off-planet letter on the toilet during lunch at school. Nerds! Relatable nerds!

D.J. MacHale also wrote for Are You Afraid of the Dark?, which I believe was what initially piqued my interest.

I usually finish my 50 book challenge but this year I didn't make it. I mostly read on the subway and I've been doing other things during the commute like journaling or playing my 3DS so that cut into my reading time. ^^; I've started reading multiple books at a time too which is something I never used to do. At the moment I'm reading Shogun. It's a monster of a book. It's very old and falling apart. Not the best read but it's interesting, lol.

I believe it X'D. It's a biggie

I'm used to big books, though. Most of the Sword of Truth series are pretty hefty, too.

When the book is so big the spine cracks, it's a problem. XD The only thing holding that book together at the moment is packing tape and multiple glue applications. @[email protected]

Ahh, Artemis Fowl. I've read the whole series via checking it out from the library, and I've been trying to collect them all. So far I've got the first four books in my collection

Is that series good Taiyo? I bought it years ago, the first one I mean, and I put it down for some reason after the first 4 chapters or so.

Hmm I will have to give it a second go over then cause that sounds right up my ally XD I think at the time I must have had some other books I was reading that was striking my fancy more than Artimis and that's why it ended up dropping off XD

I read maybe 4 or 5 of the Artemis Fowl books and then stopped because I wasn't really liking them anymore. I don't think I would like them now if I reread them but they were okay when I was in high school.
