Hello, xemsax here! I'm a little new, trying to make some gold, and I thought it might be good to open a topic. So I decided to dream translate.
I've always been really interesting in the philosophy of dreams, and how they can be a way for our subconsciousness to tell us things about ourselves.
If you've ever had a dream you can't understand then describe it to me, and I will translate it for you!
I apologize to everyone if it seems like I am taking a long time. I am trying to figure out how to reply to everyone without getting warning PMs about double posting. D:

In the interest of not getting in trouble I will now feature my replies here in the first post. Please be sure to check back to see if I have translated your dream yet.
Windy Withdrawal: It is not uncommon for people to dream about something they have seen or heard shortly before going to sleep. That, and the fact that this movie seems to be important to you would explain why you dreamed about that kind of setting.
Just like you said your friend is very important to you which is why you dreamed of him living in your sister's room rather then your sister. I do not think this means anything in regards to your relationship with your sister.
The fight you had with your friend has obviously had a big effect on you. You may be telling yourself that your feelings are still raw, and that you are afraid his are too. I don't normally give advice, but I'd say that if you are still having dreams like this, or are still bothered by it then it might be a good idea to clear the air between you two.
tracy:Based only on what you've said then I would be inclined to think that this dream means you are still concerned with what your ex feels about you, and what possible effects this might have on your current relationship. But without knowing more about the dream that's all I can say.
Krystyne:I'd be more then happy to try!
Canni:This one was actually a little tough. The corps obviously plays a huge role in the dream, but dreaming corps can mean more then one thing. It can mean a fear of mortality, or it could be a manifestation of some repressed feelings. I'll come back to that after.
Cars have such an amazing influence on people in real life that in dreams they mean a great deal. First that you are travelling in a group can suggest that this dream may be about a relationship you have with someone. Then of course there is the fact that it is your mother driving rather then you. This suggests that you are greatly influenced by her, that her ideals and behaviors affect you in everyday life. As a side note also that your mother takes charge in the dream is of interest. Finally the trunk of the car represents the carrying of unacknowledged emotions or ideas that are being carried about inside the back of your mind.
Finally you all take the corps to someone who will investigate it, and find the cause of it's being.
Put all together I think this dream means that there is some unrealized emotion or thought that is bothering you. Your mother is important in this. If you have a good relationship with her then it could be your minds way of telling you to talk to her, as you think she may be able to help you figure things out.
If however your relationship with your mother is not a good one then the cause of the frightening emotion could actually be her. In which case you are unable to clearly figure out what to do about this, and are afraid because of it. Unfortunately I cannot tell you which it is, but I still hope this helps. :)

I use information I've gathered from a variety of different sources. Dream books, psychology texts, Tao philosophy texts mainly. In our subconscious minds certain object represent certain ideas, or feelings by matching the object to the feeling a person can figure out what it is they are trying to tell themselves.
I'm not trying to fortune tell, or scare anybody. I just thought it would be fun. ^^

Well. The other day, I dreamed of moving to Enid, Oklahoma, a town where a very good guyfriend of mine lives.
It started out where I was told that some relatives of mine were moving and asked if I wanted to go with, but not where they were going to.
A few days before the big move, I asked where they were going, and turns out - ENID! Haha, I was so happy.
I called him up and told him exactly where I'd be moving to, and he was like, "Damn..That's like, a mile away from me" and I was like "Omg, so what?! That's freakin' walking distance :P"
So it fast-forwarded to like a week later, and I was in my room with him, having just started putting together my new desk.
We started to get a bit romantic, and I was woken up right as he was about to kiss me.
:(
Interpret that for me?

There are three basic elements in this dream: family, moving, and being with a boy you know in a romantic situation.
Family in dreams can represent your feelings about your actual family, but more often then not it represents yourself. In this case dreaming about your family offering you an opportunity to do something you want to is your subconscious' way of telling you to "go for it!".
Moving always represents change. You are not entirely satisfied by where you are in your life and you want to change that.
Dreaming about someone you know in a romantic situation can either mean that you like that person romantically or you like that type of person. Only you can say if you have a crush on this boy or not, but your dream says you like boys who are like him. Also in this dream the boy seemed hesitant, I think this is your subconscious' way of telling you Prince Charming isn't going to come charging forth anytime soon.
All together this dream represents an unrealized desire to take control of your love life and get the boy you want!

Sometimes a dream can (usually) only be accurately sorted out by the person who actually had the dream. The reason I say that is because while someone can tell you their dream, they usually don't tell you anything about their life. So in that sense, you can't really attach some parts of the dream to what is going on in their life because you don't know what is going on in their life. Another problem would be how someone sees something in their dream. Some things have different meanings depending on how they regard something, you know? For example, a snake in a dream can mean different things to someone who hates snakes, and someone who loves snakes. But you wouldn't be able to know which way it would be deciphered unless you knew how they saw snakes.
Sorry to go all rant-like on ya there. I love trying to decipher what dreams mean; it's an interesting topic for me. I don't mean to be a killjoy, honest. xD For fun, I'll give you a dream of mine. It's an older one.
I was sitting home alone with my dad while my mom was at work. A tornado sweeps through the town and luckily, there's not much damage to our house. However, I know that my mom would have been coming home at the time and the tornado passed right by the road she had to drive on. So I freak out and, because our other car is under a tree, I have to set out looking for her on foot. I brought my two dogs with me. I finally find her far out in the field next to the road she was driving home on. The truck she was in is nowhere to be seen, but strangely enough, our boat is near her. She's lying on the ground, pretty torn up, but alive. So I grab the tarp off of the boat and roll her onto it. I then grab some rope and tie the dogs to the tarp so they can pull her back to the road, where the ambulance is waiting.
I'm interested to hear your take on it, if that's okay?

I had this dream a long time ago but I remember it like it was yesterday. I think I might have been around 8-10 years old when I had this dream.
So, my mom's family and I were in this house and we were all talking and having a good time. Then we notice that my cousin went missing. We searched the house and could not find him anywhere. So we go outside(it was dark by the way) and everyone in the family started walking down the sidewalk looking for him. They told me to stay at the house in case he was there or came back. The front door was open and I heard this strange noise coming from the door across from the front door. I turned back to tell my family what I heard but they were already gone. I walked back into the house and the noise started again. The door where the noise was coming from flew open and there was this long hall. I look all the way at the end and I saw my cousin hunched over turning into a warewolf. He looked at me and started run toward me. I slammed the door and at the moment I woke up.
Hope that makes sense.

When a person dreams about family they are more then not dreaming about themselves or parts of themselves. The fact that it is specifically your mother's family that you are dreaming about means that you are concerned with the feminine aspects of your personality. Also it (with the rest of the settings of the dream) suggest that you feel as if you are in a dark place at that time. The fact that your father and none of his family are present suggests a lack of balance in your life.
Cousins in particular represent specific aspects of a person's self and their feelings depending on what is happening with the cousin in the dream. That your cousin is missing and you and your family are searching for him means that you feel the absence of something within yourself.
Werewolves can represent a great deal of things, but with everything described I believe that in this case the scene of your cousin transforming into a werewolf means that your basic instincts have been repressed. Hallways more often then not represent transitions. This suggests a desire for change. That you found your cousin changing into a werewolf in a hallway suggests that you want to open yourself to your instincts, that you want to listen and trust yourself once more. That you slammed the door suggests a fear of doing so.
To sum it up, this dream suggests a feeling of inadequacy in yourself. A certain personality trait that should be natural and likely feminine is being repressed. This in turn an causing an unbalance in your life. It appears that when you dreamt this it was a darker time in your life, and you did not feel secure enough to allow your true personality to shine through. However the desire for change was great, and your mind was trying to tell you this.

Well I usually have dreams that include ideas from shows I watched the day before. When I was younger I had lots of dreams involving my family and something bad happening to them. I think that just means that I am very concerned about my family and love them a lot xP
Here is a quick example: I would be eating in a restaurant with my whole family and then I would leave to go somewhere (washroom maybe?). When I return to the table my family is gone and the restaurant looks like it has been wrecked and it is dark. I get very scared and as I search for my family I feel like I am being stalked by someone. All I can see are glimpses of that persons shadow and I just keep on running I think...

Well. I'll let you take a whack at it.
I had been watching one of my favorite movies in which a young girl likes flirting with this schoolteacher guy while he's at his desk, but he's staying in a room in her house. She likes pestering him, and he seems to have no quarrels with it either.
Anyway, I was also having a big fight with my best friend at the time, and he and I had sworn never to speak to each other ever again, blahblahblah -- that didn't last a week.
However, when I slept after I saw that movie, my room was the same, but he was in my sister's room, as if he took the place of my sister. And the weird thing is, the room was the same room of the schoolteacher in the movie, and my friend was in his shoes and I started playing out the entire scene in my head, except it was the two of us.
Except then, things took a different turn, I was laying on his bed, just throwing a ball up at the ceiling while he was writing on some paper. Then he randomly comes out and says, "You know, you broke my heart." All I could do was come over, sit in his lap, hug him and place my head on his shoulder and cry.
All this happened back when we were fighting, so it's sort of weird. . .
From what I gathered, he was in my sister's room because I think of him as a brother -- but to replace her altogether and be in her room, I thought that was a little extreme. Any more thoughts on what it could mean? Why I had the movie replaying in my head? I'm curious about it even though it's been a couple of weeks since I dreamed it. Still very vivid in my mind.

I've had some weird dreams recently. :/ Mind translating this one for me?
Well, to start off, I'm pretty sure I was on some road trip with friends. My mom was driving, and all of a sudden, there was a body in the road. My mom stopped, and tied it up with a magically appearing rope [D: ?] and threw the body in the trunk of our car [D8!?!?!?], which was just behind me. We went to drop it off at a restaurant [again, 'D: ?'], and here comes the logic: they wouldn't accept it. So, we drive up to some professor's scientistic-ish room. I had to help heave out the body, but I refused to. But I did happen to pass by it, and when I peeked at it in fear, its head was in a position that its scared face was facing directly at me, with the mouth gaping open. I scared myself half to . For the third time. x_x; Anyway, my friends had to heave it inside. In dreams, things like that only bother yourself, of course. So after getting inside, we just offered it to the professor, and he said he'd examine it to find out who killed the man in the first place.
Then I woke up. O____________o

Okay great. I've always wanted to talk about stuff like this.
I had a dream where I wasn't living with my family anymore. I lived with a friend and I was happy. I don't mean I got along just fine without them, I mean I was HAPPY. I've never felt as happy as I did in this dream. Not only that, but I wasn't working a traditional job. I was living in a crap apartment with my best friend, but we did odd jobs that made us happy. I've never had this kind of dream before.
The dream changed though. After a while a friend I haven't seen in a while was there and HER best friend was there. Suddenly I was back with my family and I was okay. Not sad or happy just okay. I ended up running away to my best friend's house, with the two girls I hadn't seen in a long time. It was weird. I was walking the whole way, which is a very long way, and it seemed like only minuets. I never made it to my best friends house because I woke up before I reached her home. The dream confused me a lot. If you see anything in that please let me know.

Well...I had a dream last night that...REALLY confused/disturbed me. It's not letting me get to sleep tonight, it bothered me so much...and it's 5:00 in the morning now, so THAT'S saying something. This is going to be a LITTLE embarrassing, I think...but what the hell? Most people here already know I'm a bit messed up in the head. XD;
And, um...most of what was said was in Japanese. This is gonna be a rough translation...apparently, I'm subconsciously fluent in Japanese. And for the record...I have very LONG, DETAILED dreams. Be prepared for a wall-o'-text. o_O Anyway...
I was 23 years old...and I had just spoken to a friend of mine. She was going to come down for the weekend. Yay!
As soon as I hung up the phone, it rang again. I answered it...and it was Gackt. Now...in real life, I am pretty much...obsessed with him, you could say. And I listen to his music in my sleep, so I dream about him very frequently. In the dream, we knew each other personally, and had for about four years. I wasn't shocked at all about the call. We were friends in this dream...and he would always call me every so often. THIS time...he told me that he was coming to California this weekend. This...bothered me a little. And while I was happy...I was concerned. Very concerned...and it was obvious in my voice. So I responded...and he asked me what was wrong.
"Nothing, really...it's just that a friend of mine is coming on the same weekend, and she's...well, a huge fan of yours, and...to be honest, she...worries me a little. Good friend, but she kinda scares me."
And...we end up talking about her. Of course she's gonna want to meet him, and it's gonna be obvious to her that he's around...but if I DO introduce them, I'm...a little afraid of what could happen. I'm REALLY opposed to the idea.
After a while of talking, we agree to meet her...but he tells me to wear the chestplate from some decorative armor I made under my clothes. I ask why, and he tells me to just do it, it's probably nothing, but something worries him about my friend.
So the next thing I know (time jump!), we're in my living room, and I'm introducing everyone. All is going just fine for a little while. Then, out of nowhere, as we're talking...my friend pulls out a pocketknife and tries to stab me in the chest while Gackt isn't looking. Needless to say, I'm...shocked. I was shocked into this state of just...somehow being completely stoic, emotionless as I say "Gabby, please put the knife down."
She's mad because I have the armor on. Offended that I'd think she'd try to kill me...and she yells at me for that. I tell her that for one, it wasn't my idea, and two, I obviously needed it. The shouting escalates...and the next thing I know, she's somehow knocked me onto the floor in a position where I'll cause myself to be crushed if I try to get up too fast, and she's going and tyong Gackt up and throwing him in the closet. She's joked about that before in real life (which is half of why I didn't want to introduce them in the dream...), but I never thought she'd ACTUALLY snap like that.
I get up and brush myself off, and she comes back out with a gun. I panic for a moment, and hope to outrun her...but she's not fighting fair. I'm not armed. So she fires at me...and I duck out of the way just in time. This process repeats itself a few times. She pauses for a moment, and then I start to speak:
"I can't believe you would do this...over someone you don't even know, and who only knows me as a friend! When I came here, I trusted you...I didn't know WHY I was wearing this, but now it's perfectly clear to me. From what I said, he saw a side of you that I always tried to ignore...that I just forced myself to not see. I trusted you, and you tried to kill me...over someone you don't even know!"
She barks a loud "SHUT UP!" at me and shoots me in the right arm. It seems to bleed worse than it should...and I can't feel anything past the bullet wound. Naturally, I panic. I end up diving to the floor to dodge the next one, and I find a second gun under the sofa. Thank god I'm ambidextrous.
So I fire at her, just trying to get her right arm. I absolutely do not want to kill her. I want to get her in therapy, and back to being my friend. She dodges, I miss by a mile. I keep trying until my gun jams three shots later. She takes the opportunity to fire at me, and nails me in the left leg, just above the knee. Hurts like hell, REALLY slows me down.
I manage to free up the mechanism and fore at her arm one more time, but I miss again. She laughs slightly and says "The movie won't save you now...and neither will your silly armor." (Many of the details of the moves I had been using were from our favorite movie). She stands back and aims for my chest...I TRY to dive out of the way, but I get nailed in the right side of the chest. But...I don't feel like I'm dying. It doesn't feel like I was directly hit. The only thing that feels like a threat is the wound in the arm...and if I make a makeshift tourniquet out of my hair band and a nearby piece of string, I should be more than able to last until an ambulance comes. But I play dead anyway...until she's not looking.
A few seconds later, Gackt has broken free and is about to make a break for it...when he notices me on the floor. He takes the gun from my hand and aims at my friend at point-blank range and says "How could you!? She trusted you...I didn't, but from what she said, I never thought you'd be capable of this! She was your friend!" He continues shouting at her, threatening to kill her, and I...cannot stand it. I can't exactly speak very well, but I try...I really try...and I manage to shout out one word:
"Ya...yame...yametekureyou!" (explanation of why I didn't translate this one later in the post; this is important) This stops everything, and he comes over to me, not taking his eyes off my (now ex-)friend.
"I need an ambulance...and the police...I'm not going to die. Look!" As I was fumbling with my makeshift tourniquet, I discovered what had saved me - a locket, containing a picture from when he and I had first met four years before, had gone right in front of the bullet and acted as a shield, so the skin broke and the locket bent, but nothing more happened. "Look at that...you saved me again! Thank you!" At this point, I was actually kinda laughing. And then I heard sirens; apparently someone had already heard the gunshots...
And then I woke up, going "...what the fig is wrong with me?" XD;
And the final note about the word - it doesn't translate well into English. ^^; Usually it'll be translated as "please stop," but the suffix "-kureyou" carries a connotation of selfish pleading, like "Please, do this for me." So it's really something like "Please, I want you to stop."
Do I just...subconsciously distrust my friend, or is there something else going on in my head?

I used to have dreams like that all the time when I was young. Anxiety dreams are not all that uncommon in children.
As far as I have come to understand them dreams like this one represent a fear of abandonment, and a need for familial closeness. Being stalked can mean that you were avoiding something that scared you at the time.

Alright, I'm usually pretty good at figuring out my own dreams, but there was a lot of stuff about this one that I couldn't understand. I don't know if you're still interpreting dreams, but anyone can take a whack at this if they think they understand.
I was on my way to my English class, going up a flight of stairs. Only, the stairs were a little confusing to follow and some had sections that were missing and some steps were really really shaky.
I eventually make it to my English class. It was a lot bigger than my class normally is. My teacher shows up and gets mad at a lot of us for sitting in the wrong seats or something like that. My English teacher is a very nice woman in RL, but she was much more rude in this dream.
Then, I'm still sitting in my chair, but when I look up, I'm watching a play instead. I get up out of my seat and walk over to the stage so I can get a better look at the performance. They were performing Hercules. All the scenes they performed were love scenes, even a wedding scene. It was beautiful. Then the part when Hades was suppose to show up, there suddenly emerged a ring of dark, even black fire. That's when it turned into a completely different play.
When the fire vanished, there stood a man with short black hair, dressed in white and holding a white fan, only the fan looked like it had been splattered with blood. I was instantly entranced by him. His eyes, the way he moved, his voice. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He gives a monologue to the audience, but not just on stage. He slowly walks down the steps of the stage to talk more personally to the audience. But they are all seated. I am the only one standing so close to the stage thus his attention falls directly on my for a moment. He walks by me and looks at me and tells me very quietly that I may want to return to my seat for the next part of the scene. I give him a quick nod and quickly rush back to my seat, which was really just sitting on the floor with a group of friends.
I can't remember exactly what he says to the audience the whole time, only that I was still amazed by him. He approaches a few people and talks to them directly. Then, once again, his attention falls on me. I remember my heart pounding in my chest as he approached me. He began speaking to me then he touched my face while doing so. I closed my eyes and I could feel his fingers run across my cheek, across my eyelids, and press against my lips. His touch wasn't soft though. It felt more like there was rough sand on his fingers, but I didn't care. As this was going on, one of my friends sitting near me, though I do not really know him in RL, was becoming more agitated. He had long silver hair that was tied back and grey eyes.
The performance went to an intermission and the man performing came up to me and my friends and asked if her could talk to my silver-haired friend and the two of them left together. When they were backstage and out of sight, the dark-haired man smiled to reveal that he had fangs, thus he was really a vampire. He asked my friend why he seemed so angry before, that it wasn't like him to be so concerned with a human. Apparently they already knew each other. The silver-haired man got angry, showing his fangs as well, and stressed that I was his friend and he wouldn't let any harm come to me. Then he left.
When he was walking back to us, I looked up to see him in the distance. His fangs were still showing and his eyes were now red.
Now for some info of what I saw and did before I went to bed:
- I saw stairs most likely because I was climbing some earlier that day to get to a poetry reading for my English class.
- The play was Hercules most likely because my friend sent me a Disney related video and Hercules was in it.
- I saw a picture of vampire fangs on photobucket, possibly explaining why the men were vampires.
Some important things that happened that day:
- I had found out that morning that my grandmother had passed away.
- I was upset with my boyfriend right before I went to bed.
