I can easily do so, and my speed and accuracy is decent. However, I cannot type with the light off. Mental block much?

I just noticed that recently too, even though I've probably been able to type without looking for years. [I've had my computer since like, 2000.] I had a computer class in elementary school but I think that actually set my typing skills back. [They tried to teach us some weird method that didn't really work.] Anyway, I can type pretty fast and without mistakes most of the time. :3

I can type at 96WPM. ;D And yes, without looking at the keyboard. It's not too difficult to find a data entry job around here if I were to go looking for one.

I admit though, I do make mistakes quite often, lol. And my grammar, spelling and sentance structure isn't the greatest. ;C

I haaave~~ One day I was typing and BAM! I could type without looking. Although I do have to occasionally glance at the keyboard to make sure my hands are placed right, I make typos time to time depending on how fast I type, the faster I type the less I have to look at the keyboard though. So, I guess we have had the same experience. It won't take long to get to where you don't have to look at the keyboard, its easier after practice and once you get used to it.
Good luck with your typing~!!

Eh sometimes I don't look at the key board other times I have too. It depends, I used to have to learn to type from some typeing software, but it made me type nonsense words, so I was very slow at it. I'm much faster at typeing real words though and I don't need to look at the keyboard so much.

Hehe, that happens to me too. :P I only need to look at the keyboard once, to get the general idea of the layout of the keys, and then type away. Sometimes I press two keys at the same time, but other than that, I don't usually have errors.

Actually I always had to look down because I wasn't used to typing without looking down. But for about a week in school last year, the business teacher made the whole class learned how to type without looking down with those easy programs. After I did that, I got used to not looking down and I barely past the first level. xDD

I can do that too. Really weird. I found out a few weeks ago that I could touch type. It feels so weird and touch typing makes less mistakes for me! xD
I type pretty fast, I make a lot of typos but I read what I have typed after and correct mistakes cause I know I make a lot of typo's x]]

I've been able to type without looking at the keyboard since about...6th grade. I can even look at my family as I type(get that from my dad^-^). I have to look at it every once and a while if I need to put numbers in, or the dollar sign or number sign or something. But, yeah. Looking at the computer screen and typing just comes naturally to me^-^

Congrats! ^.^
And that happened to me recently too!
I was sending someone a message and I realized that I wasn't even looking at the keyboard!!
But then when I started thinking about it as I typed I kept making mistakes and had to look at the keyboard again, TT.TT
But I am getting better at it! ^.^

For some reason, I can never remember a time where I had to look at the keys when I'm typing o____o"
I always remember people staring at me for typing so fast without looking, except I tend to make some mistakes.

Well, the funny thing is I can do it easily because
well in 8th grade I took a computer class and
again in my senior year I am taking a computer
class because my new school doesn't count the one
other computer class I took in 9th grade. The
only things I really have to look down to click
are the numbers.

I rarely need to look at the keyboard. Though I do need to look for most of the symbols at the top of the keyboard. (Like &, $, # etc. But I don't have to look for ! or * because I use them alot.)
Sometimes I can look away from the SCREEN even, and still type fine. Like, sometimes my mom will come in my room to tell me something, and I'll look over at her, and still be typing. It freaks her out a little. XD She's always like "HOW DO YOU DO THAT?!" And I'm just like "...I dunno."

I do make frequent typos, but I fix them without even realizing it. The second I typo, I hit backspace. Mostly because I KNOW I've typod before I've even registered seeing it. I can just feel that I hit the wrong keys.
And man. Now that I'm THINKING about typoing, I'm typoing A TON. XD Thank god for backspace.

My elementary school received a lot of funding in my third grade year and received many new computers, where I was also able to learn keyboarding very well, and it was pretty fun too.

From fourth grade on, they had math and reading practices on the computers instead (probably since Bush was elected in my fourth grade year and actively promoted "No Child Left Behind" XP )

So I was able to type without looking pretty early on, since I actually took the lessons to heart and worked really hard.

I never noticed that my friends really are bad at it (one finger typing) because I thought we all had aced the keyboarding program easily... apparently, they cheated on the computer, so whatever.

I also took a business class last year (BST - business system technology course) and had to ace keyboarding - easy!

I'm pretty good, considering I've never taken any classes before. I guess I have to look down from time to time, but I still can type pretty fast. I don't think it's any big deal, but sometimes I'll just have people staring at me and asking me how I type so fast. I really don't think I type any faster than anybody else though O_o

Now my brother. He's a super fast typer! And he pretty much never looks at his keyboard. It's mind boggling sometimes. But then again, he's taken a lot of classes and the computer is his passion.

WOW welcome to the club. I learned to not type with my hands glaring at the keyboard in keyboarding class. I'm really fast at typing too, so it's awesome! haha!

Lol. I can type without looking too, but I recognize the whole keyboard by brain. I'm one of those people who the kids just stare at my eyes and wonder why I'm staring at the screen, instead of the keyboard, since the keyboard is where the keys are. XD

But it's cool, now we get to see our mistakes while typing. x3

That's awesome. Since grade six I've been able to type without looking, or touch type as it is commonly called. I can even type to about 90 wpm (words per minute). I love how much it can help a person. It helps alot when typing term papers or anything for Computer Science class. It's a real aide, and it's a very very helpful thing to learn to do. I'm glad you can type without looking now. ;3

Yay! You're one of the any skilled ones then!~

I can type without looking, but then sometimes I do spelling mistakes, and I'm like: oops. So then I get all self-conscious over everything whenever I type. Sometimes "I" becomes "O", and vice versa. :S

The keys are kinda weird because they are ashallow on my new laptop so I happen to accidentally press one too many keys, or press the wrong letters, but I'm getting used to it. On my laptop now actually. ^.^

I always look at the keyboard, although I don’t really need to. I look a business class on how to type correctly without looking at the keyboard, but I already had bad habits in place before I took the class so it was hard to get over them. I still don’t have my fingers on the right keys or anything, but my way works for me so I haven’t bothered to fix it.
