My favourite type of mastication is the late night, curled up under a blanket watching a movie. It feels so deliciously cozy, and I always swallow.

It's always more fun to masticate when it's messy though, you get lick it off your lips.

XDDDD

I know what Masticate means, but I'm still thinking dirty thoughts.

And yea. I'm masticating right now.

Edit: I also tend to masticate my nails.

Ahahahaha, you guys are so hilarious <33

Vocabulary level is very important, as shown by this thread.
And yes, I agree, masticating by yourself makes you feel quite awkward, especially if you're a loud masticater like me. I try not to disturb other people with my masticating though.

Hahahahha I was totally amused by the word "masticate" when I first learned it, too.

Same for "thespian."

Yeah, I actually found the word on an SAT vocab list. I was like O.O;; before I read the definition.
That's what I get for not paying attention to those.

Seiki: Ahahaha, I imagine you could've figured it out by reading the past posts though... or maybe not; that'd be kinda awkward x)

I have not yet today. I will be as soon as I am done showering though. Yes, I will also swallow since spitting would waste all that yummyness.

I swallowed SOME of what a masticated today.

Not my gum, though.

And yes, I used a dictionary.

I'm proud to say I didn't have to look it up. :,D I'm a little too white and wordy. <3

I did, unfortunately, also understand the implied meaning. *dies*

We make that joke all the time, but it's usually like.

"You want to masticate my wenis?"
Wenis is your elbow.

@Wynna: That's what I was thinking when I looked at this thread. xD I have a friend that goes like, "Can you masticate your wenis?"... he gets these weird looks. xD

Apparantly gina is the loose skin between your index finger and thumb? xD

Wynna and Mage: Lol, my friends make jokes like that any time they can. It's hilarious but a little disturbing.
"Hey, your gina is showing" "What shape are your tittles?" (that's the dot above the lowercase letter "i" xD)
I can honestly say I've never heard wenis before, though, lmao.

Andom: Ahahahaha, hot dogs? That's a funny thing to masticate.
You never really know what's in them though.

Queen Fool: Nah, that was meant to make sense to even the cleanest of minds. Like mine. Totally x)

Er, I have no idea what you're talking about. XD Sure it sounds similar to "masturbate," but I knew what masticate meant. I have masticated today -- for those who don't know, it means to CHEW -- and I did swallow. Otherwise, my mouth would still be full of food.

-Your vocabulary level
Eh, I'm a rising college student, made a 650 out of 800 on the SAT in Critical Reading. I think my vocabulary is up there with the intelligent ones. XD;

Nah, I didn't need to look it up. It was one of our vocabulary words back in middle school, and all the kids back then freaked out when we had it. Teacher clarified that it was NOT a misprint and that it DID mean, in fact, to chew.

I'm doing it right now. :D

Haha. First time I came across the word, it made me laugh. That was some time ago though. I know it's not rude, but it still sounds SO wrong. xD

My vocabulary is pretty good I'd say. I've always loved writing, so it's good to lean new words, or find alternatives to ones I know already. I pick up on a lot of words that way. :3

I love dubious words. x)

Lol, Windy, our middle school vocab words were more like "apathetic" and "monotonous"
We'd never have anything as dubious as masticate x)

And I meant twisted minds, because the first time I saw it and didn't know what it meant I was like AH DIRTYDIRTY before I looked it up :]

Kisrah: I really dislike writing, so my vocabulary's not that great. The only element of writing that actually builds my vocabulary is the little synonym button on MS word x)

I had just finished masticating whilst watching a Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann episode. And afterwards, I felt so ashamed of my masticating, and I had to clean up my computer table.

I already knew what it meant so, I didn't need to look it up. I think that peoples vocabulary is getting worse. I hear many words that are nothing more than poor grammar and my 16 year old daughter has no idea what words that I knew in elementary school mean. I don't know what they teach in schools these days but it can't be much. I do know that they spend way too much time preparing for standardized tests and not enough time teaching our kids new things.
