Around to pay bills, shopping, bank, etc. She lives with my uncle but neither of them can drive so I get to do it. I got done and drove the 15 minutes home and as soon as I got home she called asking if next week I can take her cat to the vet at 7 in the morning. I wish for things like that she would ask before saying sure.
But overall it wasn't bad. I mainly sat out in the car. And she doesn't like any music while in the car.

Well, I hope they help pay for gas and such . . .
Well, sitting in the car means that you've got to have a good book at least.

Um... Finding the Way And Other Tales of Valdemar. It is a collection of stories about Mercedes Lackey's world.

I've read her stuff before, but I don't recognize that title. Then again, I haven't read much of her work.

Ah! That would explain it. >.<
Uh. I've only really read one of the trilogies that she did. Lemme see if I can find it . . . The Obsidian Mountain Trilogy is what I read. I tried reading the sequel triliogy (Enduring Flame Trilogy), but they did a big and huge no no in my book. Really ticked me off it did.

Well, not to stereotype authors or anything, but it's something that a lot of good AUSTRALIAN authors do. They write one series, getting you to love the characters and everything in the series, then they write a new series that completely destroys everything you love. They make the old main characters look like the villains you'd just love to hate and they destroy the whole world, pretty much.
Sara Douglass and several other authors have done that. I can't stand to read their works after that. They just put a bad taste in my mouth when they do that . . .

Well, there are those sorts of authors out there . . . so far I've managed to keep away from the sequel trilogies . . . If I read the second trilogy first, I might not mind it so much, but even so . . . it just . . . GRRR.

I know! And then when you do have a character who isn't evil is suddenly made out to be the bad guy! . . . GYAH! *goes insane from just the thought of it*

Ick, I might be able to see that if they turned into a semi-bad person, or if the person had started only being semi good.

Well, if the person you like is the hero of the story, then made into the bad guy . . . If their bad and made into good, it's not that bad.

If their the main hero that does kind of stink.
I have read books where a bad character ends up being a good character and where a good character is really a bad character but that is in one book. Not a series.

Well, if it's in one book that is fine. But if it's one series than another series . . . yes, it's horrible and it's a betrayal to the readers.

I don't read many series that characters jump between them. Maybe a main character will become a secondary character or mentor but they rarely have more then a few pages.

Yeah. I know.
It's just that the series that I like, there is the main character who you like. Then there is the sequel and the old main character is the cause of the evil in the new series (or is the evil itself).

Sadly, I don't have anything to offer for the Bertie Bear at this time. Sorry. Though, if you'd like some art I can do that. Just take a look at my artwork albums in my profile. ^-^
