Someone once tried to guess my password on Gaia. I tried to log in and there was a message saying I couldn't log in for half an hour or something because of too many failed attempts. x__x

Other than that, I have not been scammed or hacked on here, Gaia or any other avatar site. That's surprising, actually, because Mene and other sites require trades to work as donations- lots of trust involved...

I was, however, once hacked on Runescape. xD But that was partly my own fault-

Nope...never been hacked, scammed, anything like that. Here or ANYWHERE. Unless you count the time in Gaia Towns, where someone started talking THROUGH me but wasn't actually on my account. That was weird, but...didn't do me any damage. :3

Nice thing about having such a small community is that the staff isn't as overworked as they would be on larger sites. They CAN pay attention, and everyone knows that if they try and scam someone...they're NOT gonna get away with it. (<

I was just on Gaia towns randomly yesterday and that exact same thing happened to me! It freaked me out for a second, but then I realized nothing bad was actually happening. It was just very annoying. It said something like, "Ninja______ is doing this. If you want to find out how you can do this to go to www.________"
I waited for it to disappear and when it didn't I just left Gaia Towns -_______-

I love the family feel of Menewsha because since it is more community focused the chance of being hacked is slim to none. If this site ever becomes more economy focused then the mods and admins will have to look out for scammers and hackers. I hope the greedy people stay away from this place for a long time ><

Well, since I've only been here for a day, no.
But some people go to this website because they have been hacked on gaiaonline, and they complain that there are so many hackers and scammers, but in the two years I've been on there, I've never been hacked.
I've received two scam messages, and I reported and deleted both.

Here, I'm sure it's less, but that doesn't mean that it won't happen. In probably a year, there will be a lot more members online, and it will be harder for the staff to keep these things under control.

I don't think that there has been hackings on mene. =S
I haven't been long on this site so I don't really know, but I do know someone tried to get into my account on gaia cause I got an e-mail about it. I haven't been hacked though

Someone got an expensive item off her and prompty sold it.

Well you said in the first post no name-dropping. So I won't say who the person was, since they've left menewsha.

But basically they asked for an oriental fan, got it, then made another account pretending to be their 'sister' and got a king's crown.
Afterwards once they got found out, guess they were too ashamed, they made a leaving giveaway. Juru saw it and took the crown and fan out of their inventory, the other items they gave away.

No I've never been hacked or scammed here or on Gaia. No that's not to say some scammers didn't try to take my acct from me on Gaia, but I wasn't born yesterday and reported their sorry butts to the authorities!

Though once, I thought someone had hacked into my account and stolen my G. Clover Pin. I panicked and I told my friend and he just told me that I lent it to him. Boy did I feel stoopid. xD
