NO, this isn't one of those crazy Avast! Virus threads. I don't even have Avast or..any viruses. xD

Now all of a sudden I noticed Menewsha going slow, sometimes to the point where it won't even load at all. I have to refresh the page and then usually it will load.

What's wrong here? I don't have any viruses, I scanned it last week. I'm using FF. I only have one program open and Mene is my only website open. Is it something with the server? Or is it me? My computer is fine for everything BUT, Menewsha.

I'm having the same problem as yourself right now.

I use Firefox, as well, and I haven't been experiencing the same problems. The site might not be optimized for all versions of Firefox, though-- what version are you running?
It could also be your virus protection software-- mine used to slow down some sites, and allow others to run quickly.

I've noticed it a lot as well.. I think it might just be because of amount of users on lately. We've hit 200 users online at once yesterday which is a first since Halloween. So it might just that.

I'm not so sure myself. We do have 2 'super servers' now, they shouldn't get flakey with only that amount on.

The old server just about managed to hold it together with over 500 people on, even though it did run at snail's pace.

I get treacle days too, I tend to blame something at my end more than the site. Because I'll ask other people and they usually are not experiencing the same issues.

Maybe the servers are PMSing? and picking random people to be mean to?

I know that psychologists tell us that we're crazy to give machinery human attributes, but COME ON!!

We ALL know that PCs do stuff to hack us off on purpose! :lol:

It's happening to me when I try to post something. Everything else loads fine.

I'm having that problem as well. XD; It's fine except for when I hit "Submit" on a thread reply. ^^;

I find that too, however only when I'm on Firefox. On IE, it seems to be working fine. Or maybe it's just my connection?

That happened to me once yesterday, too.

I was making a post and it did not seem to load. I backed up and re-submitted it. It happened again, and again I resubmitted. Then I discover that I have triple posted my message. o.0 So I have to go and delete the extra posts.

I don't believe that has ever happened to me before.

Last night I tried to make a post and I had the hardest time getting it to go through.
Normally when I hit post, the little loading bar in the lower right corner goes pretty quickly. I have DSL. But it just stayed completely empty for over a minute. I tried hitting submit again. All the other Mene pages would load fine for me. I opened a new tab and went to the thread I was posting in to see if my post had gone through, and it hadn't. I tried closing that tab and posting the same message in the same thread again, and it still took forever.
When it finally went through, it went through TWICE. XD (Don't worry, I deleted the extra one)
I don't think it was on my end, though. I could load pages everywhere else (even elsewhere on Mene) really quickly.
