Gosh, yes, I am still enjoying it!
First. Mene. Event. Evarr.

I have collected a total of 101 orchids so far, but I need moar. I only have 1 to use so far today, I used all the others up. *Rushes around* I hope I can get the 15 for today's item D'8

Edit: Make that four. But some of the buds won't let me click them.

I'm back...partially.

I don't think I can go at my whole day online sprees like I used to.

But at least I'm around now! ^-^

hours ago, and i feel so overwhelmed with everything

XD Aww - I'm glad you're having fun at your first event. :3 I have 128 orchids currently (plus however many orchids it would have cost me to purchase one of each of the four event rares released so far) and one bud (I don't know how many I've spent, but I have a lot of the things I want purely thanks to buds)... >_>

I'm not sure why people can't get the orchids/buds... People have said that if that happens to close out (not minus, of course) of the browser and then open it back up again and it should work.

XD Yeah - there was an email that went out to people with accounts, so we've attracted back a lot of old users who hadn't visited for awhile. Plus it's an event, of course, so people are not only more active but active on sometimes both accounts at the same time. o_o;

i don't know how you've gotten so many
of the orchids/buds lol
it's tough trying to gather the right amount of
buds for a pair of the wings, the lag is driving
me insane xD.

but i'm liking the fact that there's another alternative
to gaining event commons than having to spend gold =]

Just wanted to pop back in and say hey... I got all of the commons I wanted! Including all of the kimonos, a pair of Fairy Wings, and one Fairy Gown. Both the orchid color ^ ^
I may get another set of wings afterwards, if I have enough buds. Right now I am focusing on orchids.

I have to have a set for me, for my crown offer, and for my friend. So far I have enough, if the pattern of 10-10-15-15-20 stays the same.
Edit: The gold I saved, the gold I earned and the buds I found stretched to 38 of the commons @[email protected]
Edit Edit: Like you said before, maybe this event and the raise to my crown offer will convince people that I am a "hardcore" Mene player and deserve to be sold to!

I saw the "Ferra Fairy" you did in Ferra's album....after things settle down I am gonna start findin ways to bribe you for art! :XD I loved that!

XD The lag killed me more than a handful of times. I seriously wanted to bash my head against the table. I was also hormonal, so I wanted to cry as well. XD;;

I did, however, manage to get everything I wanted! I should have waited to spend my gold, however. I could have got a lot more clothes for free with just the buds! But I foolishly bought things with gold a few days before the event ended. XD;

I also sent my mule 2,000 gold to get him a small wardrobe. Yay! Slaveboy has some clothes now! Nyaw. Hardly any of it matches anything, though. LOL. So he'll have to look a little awkward until I feel generous again. 8D

The rest of my gold went into buying myself the Atlantis Trident (one more Atlantis item to complete the set! But I won't buy them unless the boy shorts are unisexed) and someone asked me to buy them the Saffron wings while they were still half-price and they would pay me back later. So they have a few days to get their gold up or I'll sell them to someone else... I feel so poor right now it's really pathetic. XD (I got my gold up to just over 9,000 gold at some point during the event. XD)

I liked that I got so many more items than I would have been able to from gold alone, in spite of things being half-price. XD

Yayy! I'm so glad. XD I didn't purchase any of the wings for myself... and I would never wear the gowns. XD But they were nice. :3 I'm really happy that so many people who couldn't otherwise have afforded to get what they wanted were able to!

And, yeah. :3 People are more likely to sell to someone who looks like they intend on staying on Menewsha for the long haul. :3 No use, really, selling to someone who'll abandon their account in a week. :3 Good luck on getting the crown! :heart:

- all four kimono
- all three orchid blouses
- the peach and orange orchid skirts
- two pairs of peach wokou ninja pants (mule and main)
- two pairs of peach wokou sailor pants (mule and main)
- all four kimono shoes
- orchid sandals
- viola loafers
- all eight of the fans
- all four spindles
- two sparklers
- two fishies
- black gentleman's slacks (mule)
- Atlantica hakama (mule)
- lily tunic (mule)
- tulip & orchid coat (mule)
- cream orchid shirt (mule)

And I don't know how many sets of event items... I know at least two full extra sets and then several extras of some others. I need to go update my art contest thread to reflect the new items I have for bribes. XD

But... YAY. I loved the event, but I'm glad it's over. I can start catching back up on my threads again!

but still didn't manage to collect so many items like you did XD

i am happy though that i was able to get a pair of the wings,
they were all adorable C:
i actually had to sell my astral halo so that i can get the gold to
buy the wings XD because before that i caved and bought the
purple faerie gown, and the orchid kimono with matching fan and
platforms.

then i decided to buy a may CI set XD so after that splurge i decided
to go ahead and sell one of my old CI items so that i could get wings.
but boy, these items are very much worth the gold. oh and i used the
rest of buds on little things like the butterfly pins [purple, green, red, and
blue], the mauve wig, and atlantica kimono C:

this event was probably the only one so far that i've gotten so
involved with i think XD the items were are so pretty lol

I don't remember being online a lot during the event. I was often off doing some important business.

Or busy trying to calm down people who were hell bent on a murderous rampage. X_x;

Aww... Astral Halo. XD I hope it wasn't one of your favorite Contribution Items. XD But I'm glad you got the wings if you liked them better. X3

I was only able to get that much through a combination of the large amount of savings I had, my duties as event coordinator (which kept me on Menewsha as long as I could manage between work, sleep and server issues that kept me offline. D< ) AND BUDS. :o I believe all the kimono were purchased through buds... All the little things were purchased through buds... Except the tiaras, which I foolishly spent gold on. XD I probably spent gold on the wraps for my mule too.

Anyway. ::stops rambling:: XD

Yeah, slave boy looks half-decent right now. XD None of the colors really match together, but if you ignore the exact shades, it looks nice. 8D And he'll get more clothes that match what he has, just not right away. XD

Well... today was the last day... XD; You just missed it by about 5 hours. XD;;

::does the math for you:: Each unspent bud was translated into 25 gold. So if you had 70 of them, that means you got 1,750 gold.

Kimonos at full price are 750 gold... which means you can buy 2.34 kimonos just from the gold you earned from the unspent buds. 8D ..........

It is difficult to get back 'into' a community after being gone awhile. XD; I've had to do it several times.

But I've known a lot of drama magnets. Almost none of them seek it out... they just get it because they're the person that the family/friends turns to when they want advice/support. :B

::nodnods:: Unless you get involved in a really tight-knit group, I think it'd be really difficult to really be addicted to Gaia if Menewsha appeals to you at all. Gaia as a whole has always felt impersonal to me.

Yeah - I love our commons. XD Maybe I'll go for the silk pants set next. (Menewsha Imports) I'm not really sure if that's what I want or not, though. When I get my large amount of gold back, I'll look down my wishlist and see what I wanted from it. XD (I'm not even sure if the silk pants are on my wishlist...)

...I don't have a group anymore on Gaia. I abandoned them. I didn't like how it was being run and the whole mess in it so I'm just on/off over on that place. Depends on how I feel. :o

But then... I've had a hard time -drama by association and drama by personal issues- so it's hard to waddle in and back. I'm not really part of anything here on Mene but I find it easier to come back here oddly enough.
