@Blondheart - The good thing about a quest for regular commons is that it can be put off without you worrying about the supply drying up or the price increasing. XD

And technically you might not 'need' as much as 4,000 gold to purchase commons during the event. XD I think you must have been here during the Valentine's Day event though, right? I spent almost 3,000 gold then (I think it ended up being 2,500 gold because I didn't want to spend the last of my gold) and didn't get all of what I wanted. XD;

Valentine's Day did have an extraordinary number of items... And many of them were priced in the higher end, even in spite of the half-off sale. But I'm thinking this update will be pretty large as well. XD;

@Melody - I know what you mean about even having seen them/read them before and crying. <_<; I actually think I'm more likely to cry if I've seen or read it before, because I've grown more attached to the characters. D: There's this book I've read several times over the last ten or so years... Every time this certain character dies, I cry. ._. Even though I end up reading the book about once a year. >_<; I forget which movie can do the same thing to me but I try to avoid watching that scene if I can. XD;

Nope I haven't been here for any of the events yet. I joined in October and was put off my how hard it was, the fact you're in your undies, and that I had to talk to so many people I didn't know. You know the usual reasons people are intimidated. But I always meant to check back, I thought about it a few times and just never got around to it. Then when Angelbug joined she brought me back, and now I am here! So I can't wait to see how events go. :D

Ok so for the story I promised you...

When we bought this house, I had been house hunting for 3 months. I just couldn't find anything I liked. Then I saw this house and I knew I wanted it. It was in a good neighborhood, it was big and airy and just everything I wanted. We almost didn't get it, but then in the end we did.

So two weeks after we had lived here I went out to get the mail, and there was a tiny grey tabby kitten sitting on my doorstep. He couldn't have been more than about 5-6 weeks old. But he wasn't upset or scared or anything, he was just waiting. When I got the mail and came back in he came with me and he has been here ever since.

After we had lived here six months, the avon lady stopped by to introduce herself and she said that the neighbors were so glad that we had moved in. When I asked her why, she said because you're normal. I found that confusing so I asked her why they would feel that way. She said the people who lived here before us belonged to a satanic cult. :shock:

So I called our Pastor to come and bless the house. I was going to have it done anyway, but I felt a sense of expediency when I heard that.

When he arrived to do the blessing, Basil was asleep on the triangle, this architectural feature we have from the stairs.

I don't know if you're familiar with how Lutherans do a house blessing but they go room to room stand in a circle, say a prayer, and one person holds a lit candle and another has a bell.

Anyway...when we went Basil went along and he very reverently stood in the circle and he moved with us to each room. When we were done, he went straight back to the triangle and curled up and went to sleep. The Pastor was amazed. He said he had never seen any animal do anything like that, it was almost as if he understood what we were doing. So that is why I have always referred to Basil as our guardian angel. :D

He also smiles. There is no question what he is doing. It's a smile. I have never had another cat that smiled. Even the vet noticed he was smiling.

Just getting 4,000 gold. XD I was hoping to get it by May 1st, but with the several-days downtime we had, I'm betting that's not going to happen... I also bought several Inventory Drawers, which killed a good amount of my gold. XD But I'll cover that when I do my "Officially Official" post after I finish responding to your longer post. XD (EDIT: ...It occurs to me that you may have thought I meant I'd complete my Quest that same night. XD But I just meant reaching 2,000 gold. I was at something like 1,930 gold when I wrote that. XD )

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he actually did know what was going on. Some animals are extremely perceptive and you never know when one is that way for a particular reason...

I managed to reach 2,000 gold. :D ..... For all of about five minutes. >_> Then I went and attacked the new Inventory system. :3

I now have 10 drawers (not counting All and Main), which means I purchased 7 drawers. Which means I spent 175 gold. XD

OH WELL. :3 I am happy now. X3 And I can always buy more drawers if I start getting too many items in the ones I have now. 8D

Officially Official Quest Update Thing
I have officially (officially) earned 2,000 gold again! Meaning I have reached exactly half-way to my goal of obtaining 4,000 gold by May 1st! (Well, technically by the May Event, but since I can't say when that'll be yet, I'll just say May 1st, though it may or may not actually fall on that date. Stress the 'not'. >_> )

Technically, to reach my goal, I must earn 400 gold each day. There is no way that is happening, though. LOL. D:

SOooo... I'm not going to fuss too much about meeting that goal on exactly May 1st... Particularly considering Fishing is not there and I probably won't be playing the Arcade Games enough to make up for it! (Fishing is much faster than the other games. :B )

I'll try to earn approximately 200 gold a day if I can. No use killing myself to try to meet the May first deadline when the possibility of the event starting on the first is not... ah... likely. XD

*bounces in and waves at CK* I just had a thought... pointy slippers for the slave boy! Then he sort of gets that harem slave look. *grin* And we all know what happened to males in the harem... ouch!

Updated my main page yesterday at some point - I forget when exactly. But mostly just making sure my images worked again and that I recorded the gift/prize from the Earth Day 2008 Drabble contest. I won a Leon the Lion plushie! I will sport that for another day or two, I think. XD

Tried a bit of playing games for gold last night, but I kept getting distracted by profile comments and PMs and such to respond to, so I kept having to pause the game (Tetris) and go respond to those and I lost my flow. But I earned thirty-something gold for a score that wasn't particularly impressive. XD; That may have changed by now, seeing as I hear that they're futzing with gold-earning. XD
